Always wondered when people say the chin was a real believer to the rules and thats why he wanted to take revenge for Paul if that was the real reason . Dont forget that chin did the exact same thing as gotti when he shot his boss Costello. Sure he was 29 year old and maybe grown into a strict believer of the rules or he just had a lot of buisnesa relations with Paul and didn’t want the mafia to regress back to the old days where more or less every boss and underboss got wacked by power hungry underlings

I agree with you.The Ol' ."Do as I say...not as I do ' Syndrome. Frank Costello was such a cool guy too..The Prime Minister! Amazing what a BAD shot Chin was too! It still blows my mind how these guys thought a 22 cal or 25 cal was an adequate round to kill with??? I've read of MANY failed hits "relying" on these "cap gun" Rounds. 38., 9 MM...Different story. The real reason is simple dude: Gigante was jealous of John’s charisma and ability to be himself whenever and wherever he wanted to. Chin built himself a prison cell long before he ever actually went away to prison with that crazy charade

@BostonsF1nest That's what I've said the fbi knew the hole time..he actually put as much heat as Gotti with his attention.

@@BostonsF1nest dont think he was jelous of gottis charisma because it just drew attention but yes he did build a prison around himself that cant have been easy . He couldnt do normal things with his kids like go out on lunch , his daughter even had to help his act as mentally ill when they walked btw his apartmenf and the social club. Wonder if he reslly Tought it was worth it just to be the boss

Very strange why Larry wouldnt want to name who was in the car on the botched Vic Orena Hit, its apart of the story and probably public record. From what I remember, the 4 guys in the car were Carmine Sessa, Henry Smurra, Johnny Pate and one other guy i cant recall

    • @BostonsF1nest
      @BostonsF1nest ปีที่แล้ว +4

Probably because he considers the guy a friend and doesn’t wanna throw dirt on whatever he’s tryna do now

Yep...I'm only an advanced Student of Organized Crime History and grew up around it, but I'm never going to reveal things that would hurt anyone, that is active, inactive or is not already out in the public realm.
It's just NOT cool. You can still
Tell a great story without burying someone. Matt NYC

That moment when Orena points out Greg in the chapel and says "even Greg Scarpa is on our side" --- that has to be a scene in the movie version of Larry Mazza's story. Unbelievable detail in the story of that war

A while back, Larry said that he brought the Colombo's into OTB (off track betting), but that is not accurate. Former Colombo, Tommy Ocera was my cousin's father, and my father was his head chef. In the In the mid 70's, the Franzese family (Sonny's nephew) created the OTB Magazine and Calendar, and Tommy got my mother a job in their main office. Otb was colombo territory way before Larry even began his affair.
You mentioned that if Gotti and Orena were successful, that woukd have been two hostile take overs; in the 60's, the Gambino's and The Luchese's basically began to force Joe Bonanno to give up leadership and move out of the state, after Bonanno threatened Carlo and Luchese. This led to the war, which eventually forced the take over.

(My Dentist) almost directly across from The Dapper Don's Family Home in Howard Beach ⛱ and assassinate him through the window..30 yd Rifle shot ...very easy. I thunk he got picked up before he could do it. Matt NYC

What's funny is I think Scorsese's comment about Marvel is 100% right today but he couldn't have had worse timing when he said it at the time... I believe it was when Infinity War/Endgame were coming out which were actually insanely good. Now the whole genre is dead

Hey there’s nothing wrong with comic movies, unless they’re are from current DC writers. Guardians of the Galaxy was probably one of the best movies out there this year. Sad we haven’t had good mob movies lately. The Irishman was great but I wish it was more realistic to the the truth. Watched 3 times though, that says something about the movie.

always love hearing Larry’s stories and this interview was really good , heard alot of new stuff I haven’t heard before . One thing that I don’t get with Larry who was a real mafioso is why he endorses a guy like gunner lindbloom who’s been exposed as a liar and never was related, worked for or even knew any made men . People will start to question Larry just because he endorses gunner and that’s to bad

Herkulez..Yes..and Who do you think trained the Early Mossad Founders? Moishe Dayan et al. The O.S.S (forerunner to the CIA) and Wild Bill Donavan. I'm no ballistics expert but 50 years shooting, hunting, experimentimg, 5 Years in the State Guard, discussing such things with WW 1, WW II, Korea, The Nam, Desert storm, I & II, Afghanistan combat vets in and around my American Legion Post, I know a good deal. 22. Mag. Is better (more damage) than a 22. Rimfire, and dont get me wrong a 22. CAN kill a human or Large Deer with one carefulness placed shot through a vital organ, but bone will slow it down and maybe break the bone but no guarantee. A 30 cal. In comparison WILL smash the bone. If I had to GUARANTEE my target is going bye bye 😮 and dropping
    Where he stands...I'm using a 357.Magnum, 44 Magnum or a
45 cal. The damage & exit hole is devastating 😮😊....picture s Exit wound anywhere from a Golf Ball sized hole to a baseball ⚾️ Game over..Down goes Frazier. Matt NYC

I hear ya Vinny, but that Old School Honor was a thing of the past, Old School LCN: Loyalty, Camraderie, Brotherhood. This petered away slowly and was a VERY bug motivation for Sammy, Larry, Dom Cicale, Al D Arco, et cetera to lose faith and see the handwriting in The Wall...LOYALTY & HONOR HAD DIED. When you get wind of plots to smear
Your rep or worse, your imminent demise is a fait accompli, you MUST
Make a decision: Am I going like a lamb to slaughter or am I going to fight like the Hammers of Hell and go out on MY terms...When guys' Families were neglected as they took one for the Team!! Took the hit and did their bid in the joint and their businesses raided and taken over, they'd be Fools to take that, No? With Great Respect, Vinny. Matt NYC
