  • During the 1990s the Colombo crime family was in the middle of a power struggle that led to one of the bloodiest mafia wars in American history.
    Larry Mazza was a major part of that war and on the opposing side there was a ruthless gangster named 'Wild" Bill Cutolo. Unfortunately, "wild" Bill did not survive.
    Larry Mazza spent 12 years in prison and now tells the story.
    The full story is in his book:

      Buddy I agree with you I really do, and like I said I’ve got absolutely nothing against mazza cause I’m not a gangster buddy, I just don’t like it when people bullshit just to get views, I don’t know if you have read or heard on audiobooks, deal with the devil, if you have then you must’ve heard the author saying that mazza told him that he was not a made man, so come onto TH-cam and say you are that’s all I’m saying buddy and I’m just like yourself mate I’ve been researching that life for over 40 years now buddy and to be totally honest with you that’s as far as I want to go with it because like you said they all open their mouths nowadays, even the commission bosses in the trial broke their code of omertà by saying that the mafia in America exists cause one of the golden rules is you don’t acknowledge that the mafia exists and the boses said it does so, you know what I’m saying, Gotti kept his gob shut and Frankie did and look what it cost them , the chin kept his mouth shut and like you said people like Sonny Franzese kept his mouth shut but not many do like you said. Take care of yourself buddy wherever you are in the world I’m in Britain myself and we don’t have the witness protection bullshit in Britain buddy, if your involved in a murder wether you help the police or not you are gonna get a life sentence buddy simple as that buddy but over here, unless it’s a really really bad murder you will only serve about between 9 and 15 years but like I said if it’s a terrible murder like some freak of nature has deliberately gone out of their way to hurt a child or a old person then you will probably get a life sentence meaning a life sentence but it’s becoming more and more frequent nowadays that people are getting full life sentences buddy and rightfully so I say for the right reasons anyway mate. Best wishes to you from Stevie boy in Britain.

While I was there I was talking to him and all the sudden Bill Jr walks by. Now I knew from documentaries that Larry and Greg Sr tried to kill Wild Bill. I look at Larry and gave him a look like "WHAT THE FUCK?!"
    Larry looks back at me and gives me the wise guy "shhh"... He later explained to me that was the first tike they seen each other in decades and had decided to bury the hatchet. I gotta admit I was a lil excited. It was cool to be in that tiny part of this....Larry is a cool ass guy....

Way before Larry's trist with Scarpa's wife, Sonny Franzese nephew Carmine created the OTB Magazine and calender. In his book, and his interviews he says that he was fooling around with Linda since he met her, and I recently heard a critic of Scarpa's opinion saying that Greg didnt get AIDS from the blood transfusion. At first I didnt pay it any attention, but in a way it kinda makes sense. Maybe he had HIV for a long time and thats why he let Linda fool around. I may be wrong but who knows. Informant or not, Im a fan of The Grim Reaper. Hes gotta be one of the most interesting mobsters Ive heard about. I would love to see a show/movie about Greg and Larry. They would have to do it right though. I would like to see Greg as just a ruthless diabolical mobster genius lol that maneuvers his way in the streets. I’ve been thinking about this for so long I have scenes mapped out in my mind and how they would go lol. It’s the greatest mafia story never told. But imo I would start with the Vince Falcone murder. When they walk him into the house in Margate- Nicky’s already there reading the paper with a football game on and after Phil tells Vince to grab a drink he shoots him in the back of the head. Joe Salerno starts freaking out and Nicky tells his nephew to pump another one into his chest while and he starts hugging and kissing Phil telling him how much he loves murder lol. You start with that then go back and tell Phil’s youth growing up under Nicky when Bruno was boss. You want Bruno in the movie because it sets the stage for what comes later and makes Nicks rise and fall even more tragic.

      yeah well come see the broadway show; also you miss the point ; whether the story is true or not has little bearing on if it makes good drama good entertainment; also my three cents as writer and masters level forensic psychologist and fellow sicilian; all the guys are telling the truth more or less; but the whole truth? hardly lol; ah but you see everyones story is worth looking at; larrys is good because of the sex angle and also because its the scarpa which everyone is doing; but this is one step removed; a little different; also wait till you see the play i have made out of this; it goes beyond the literal reality and i have transformed larry into a better role than michael corleone; a great role like stanley kowalski in streetcar named desire; the critical thing is what we make of the story of the history as a starting pt and you obviously dont do this for a living media etc; because there are currenly about 5 units doing larry based projects so you couldnt be more wrong; and what the real larry is or isnt is unimportant in this context;
