The PS2 game Toca Race Driver was the first time I'd ever seen one of these and instantly fell in love with it's boxy silhouette shape... and the noise... and the power. Great to actually see footage of a real one.
This car wasn't in Toca 2 that I can remember and I played the hell out of it although admittedly on PC.

Lancia Martini Racing: what a legend! what a smell of '70s and '80s, when Lancia was an unrivalled brand on Rallies and World Sportscar Championships and a respected and prestigious car manufacturer! Now it's over and no one seems responsible for this shameful epilogue of this 110 years legendary brand...
In 1981 the Montecarlo Turbo finished eight overall and second in the Group 5 class at Le Mans behind a Porsche 935 that had almost twice the hp. Great car.
A wonderful car, as a kid I had all the models with the various liveries, one more beautiful than the other, to think that all the strongest Italian F1 drivers ever formed, Alboreto, Nannini, Ghinzani, Cheever, Gabbiani,Patrese, DeCesaris....

Che motori in quel periodo, 4 cilindri 1400 CC turbo da 400-500 cavalli..
Era un "normale" FIAT bialbero. Superpompato, ma ancora lo stesso motore che trovavi nella 124 Sport ed in molti altri modelli FIAT e Lancia. E' incredibile pensare che quel motore 1400, derivato dalla serie, facesse 480 cavalli, mentre negli stessi anni, i 1500 cc turbocompressi della F1 sviluppavano circa 600 cavalli (anche se negli anni successivi arriveranno a svilupparne 1200 in configurazione da prova), ed erano prototipi, non derivati di serie, e dovevano durare solo 300 km (e spesso non ce la facevano), non 24 ore.
Auto eccezionale, come sono state tutte le Lancia da competizione.Un vero peccato che questo glorioso Marchio verra' sacrificato dalla Fiat e non ne capisco le ragioni ??????
