While I appreciate you have found RATM, I would hope that you would understand the message and reflect that. The music is amazing, but only secondary to the message.
The last 30 mins, I've been watching videos of people discovering RATM for the first time and its my new favorite thing. Everyone needs to RAGE a little, man ✊✊
One of the most transcendent experiences I've ever had as a concertgoer was standing in that arena in 1996 with both fingers raised to the sky and screaming "FUCK YOU I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME" until my throat was ripped raw. RATM is an experience like no other, and they paved the way for my favorite breed of music - the beautiful rap-metal fusion.
As a person who reacts to all music (classical, opera, rock, rap, jazz, film score, etc...) with hip hop sensibilities and with the classic hip hop hand, this is so fuckin refreshing to watch. It's great to see other folks react the way I react to music... eyes closed, bobbing your head and breaking your neck, and making faces like "this shit hurts so good"
"Some of those that work forces"= police "Are the same that burn crosses"= kkk These white kids in the mid 90's were saying the same shit as BLM is today. Not that they were the first to say it, white or black, but it just goes to show how little has changed. For more conscious old school stuff that is still relevant, I would love to see y'all react to Ice Cube's A Bird In The Hand, from the early 90's. Kendrick Lamar sampled it on his To Pimp A Butterfly album.

I can't be mad, when I heard this song when I was young I had the same reaction, and it wasn't as easy to look up lyrics. forget a smartphone, I didn't even have a computer. thought it was about being a non-conformist resisting authority doing your own thing, but a lot of people completely missed the message about police brutality and racist cops. we are paying for it
Such an astute comment. Heard this song so many times in my young twenties and just thought it was rad... im 33 now and a few years back I listened to the words...
This happens a lot. In the middle of the Mccarthy era, when maybe the worst thing you could be was a communist, every kid was taught to sing This Land Is Your Land by Woody Guthrie. The same people who hated communism were teaching kids a song that was written by a communist. Not only that, the song was preaching communist values, lol. This phenomenon speaks to the subversive power of art to reach the minds of the brainwashed and plant seeds that can sprout into resistance.
@@natescott3832 Fortunate Son is the same way, everyone treats it like it's some patriotic anthem (probably cause its genre has been ruined and filled with nationalist crap since then) even though it's clearly an anti-privilege and anti-war theme. All I'm gonna say is that the conservative US order is lucky that the Soviet Union collapsed at the end of the 80s, because if US art culture had continued to develop the same way against the backdrop of endless anti-communist propaganda, the generational backlash could have had some very dramatic effects. It's sad how in the 90s a lot of the energy that was built in the 80s counterculture just went down the drain.
Paul Kersey they is most likely the general public. Then the band and their fans were considered rebellious and trouble makers but here we are today and most of the country is preaching what they did then. Hope that explained it

While I appreciate you have found RATM, I would hope that you would understand the message and reflect that. The music is amazing, but only secondary to the message.
Know Your Enemy by Rage Against the Machine. This song has some dope lyrics
Kinsen77 this song pump me up!
Kinsen77 definitely!
"What? The land of the free?! / Whoever told you that is your enemy."
Or Bullet in the Head. Wake up. Classics.
Wish I could give more than 1 like.
seriously can't stop watching you guys, YOU'RE SO CHARISMATIC it's insane!
much love from brazil
FYI Rheasia, it's perfectly normal to hurt yourself while experiencing Rage. We all do it. 😆
The last 30 mins, I've been watching videos of people discovering RATM for the first time and its my new favorite thing. Everyone needs to RAGE a little, man ✊✊
This has been my whole afternoon today!
I'm telling you guys you guys need to react to Renegades of Funk by Rage Against the Machine
yes yes yes
bump. all their covers were sick, but Renegades and Microphone Fiend are absolute MUST listens
Ghost of Tom Joad 🔥
Yep, all crossover hip hoppers love this shit
My favorite out of all their great works.
They lyrics is about police brutality
“Work forces “
about the privilages and more
Exactly. I just posted instead of clownin listen to the words.
Some of those who work forces, are the same who burn crosses.
"Some police are members of the klan"
It's great to see other folks react the way I react to music... eyes closed, bobbing your head and breaking your neck, and making faces like "this shit hurts so good"
They’re cute.
I hope you’re able look up the lyrics and really figure out wtf he sayin because he is saying some shit.
hehehehe yea boi 😂
zach do spittin the truth
"Some of those that work forces"= police
"Are the same that burn crosses"= kkk
These white kids in the mid 90's were saying the same shit as BLM is today.
@@natescott3832 those that work forces is not the police, the police is "the forces": the government work the forces ( The GOP has ben going roge for a long long time) its all old money
@@natescott3832 Only the bass player and drummer are actually white; fun fact
Loud in my car with the windows rolled down. It’s an epic song with a great message.
This is probably one of their best songs. It's damn near perfect.
It’s always one of their best songs EVER!!!
It’s one of my favorite songs of all time 👍👍👍
Love you guys makes my day watching🤣🥰
Aaaahhhh!!!!! Yesss!!!!! Thank you making this video ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼
Rage Against The Machine
"Woke" long before the term existed
RAGE ! Their messages have prepared us for this madness.
Hell yeah!
Rage is an amalgam of rap, rock, funk and reggae in one... only band that can pull it off I've heard.
They are their own genre! “Cool music” and a few other bands that could fit in with that for sure would include Sublime!!
Fishbone, Skindred and Dub War are a few other bands that successfully pull off crossing those genres! Well worth a listen if you don't already know them.
Bad brains
Bro I grew up in the 70's n 80's when this was everyday life. Throwing hands was just part of all that. Rage was actually outlawed for awhile because they were supposed to be too radical. Shit was real in the day.💯💯💯😎
Shit is pretty real now too i mean segregation is legal again racism is at an all time high i mean I don’t know what it was like back in the 70s and 80s I’m 27 and I’ve never seen it this bad before this country is going to shit Joe Biden is president for fuck sake
When you say "Oww" after a song, that's probably a good sign that that's a good song!! ❤❤
rage against the machine is one of the best bands ever created

THEY BLOCKED OUR (KORN VIDEO)GANG WTF😡😡‼️‼️WE RE-UPLOAD THAT TOMORROW
i saw the Korn review before it was blocked...i really liked it!
Sorry 😥these bands dont seem to realize they are turning away potential viewers and SALES ! Love your videos guys !
surprised your Led Zeppelin videos are still up. Led Zep is notorious for blocking videos like yours from TH-cam.
Do Korn -Blind Woodstock 99
Saw it before it got blocked. Great reaction. Try lyric videos. They're less likely to get blocked
I love this reaction vid for so many reasons!
I'M REALLY HAPPY EVERYTIME I WATCH YOU REACT...... YOU ARE REAL....... LOVE FROM SAUDI ARABIA
When the DJ put this on back in the day the dance floor would go completely wild.
Next up, "Down Rodeo"
"Down Rodeo" or "Know Your Enemy"

Yess
But with lyrics
Excellent choice
I love that you two are each responsible for playing "air instruments." 🤘
Saw these guys in concert ...still one of my favorite bands...His face tho when they sing "Angel's deserve to die "...looked devastated 😂.
This is the third video I've watched of yalls and I have to say..yall make my heart happy 💜
Its easy to see the love you have for each other but not just that, but the friendship you both share! Yall are fucking awesome and I cant wait to wait more content from yall! 💜💜
When I'm watching you react I start reacting like I did the first time I heard it in the early 90's! Good job guys!
Rage was awake before the ‘woke’ crowd knew how to tell time, if you know what I mean. The message is worth digging into - will blow your mind even more.
I never liked rage. Zack was a pretentious twat
well... they are raging on behalf of the machine now...
The woke crowd is the same people that were listening to this song in middle school.
@@svenkarlsen2702 lmao what
@@svenkarlsen2702 just admit you never listened to the lyrics, man
That was actual medicine for my soul experiencing you two experience that for the first time.
I’ve been obsessed trying to find the reactors that fit me! CHRIS! U get me rocking on every damn video! U have some awesome energy man n it lifts me! U guys both r kickass. Subscribed n I definitely rang that bell!
It's crazy how many reactions to first time listening to rage against the machine...I remember when this song was played on MTV when I was 12 years old..when did people stop listening to this incredible band.
Fists up! Every time someone discovers this for the first time it makes me smile. Keep grindin👊
This song is 🔥 one of my absolute favorite songs EVER to sing along with and listen to. Rage was so badass!!!!
He's been learning the art of what headbanging is. LET'S GO!!!
These 2 are the Bomb ..I Love their Reactions
You guys are by far the best of all of these reaction videos that I’ve found!
And I listen to about four or five other reaction video people on a regular basis. That’s probably why You popped up in the first place. I’m so glad I found you guys.
“Sleep Now in the Fire” 🔥
You ready for that.
Agreed. It's one of their absolute best songs.
The niña, the pinta, the santa maria
You gotta get the lyrics pulled up with your songs because you’re missing a big part of some songs and the messages
true
These cats are getting back together!!!! RATM 🔥 great intro by the way 💯 #BandAnaReacts
They were suppose to go on a summer reunion tour with Run The Jewels co-headlining, but then the pandemic hit and cancelled everything. They are also eligible for induction into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame, but, with two opportunities, have not made the cut yet.
I absolutely love how you are so open minded and actually listen to the words and music!!!
This is my first time watching you guys. It’s awesome to see people discovering music outside their normal listening preference. Keep up the great vids.
"Some of those that work forces, are the same that burn crosses" the Klan been part of the police for a minute now. I'm loving this right here, something about watching others get the same hype from this music as me is great.
This song is extremely relevant these days
Hey, I just want to say that this video has lifted my heart and put a huge smile on my face. You two are just adorable! I'm 49 years old, and have been a RATM fan since they started. FTS all the way. :) :) Hell yeah. Happy to be a new subscriber, and hit y'all up on IG also. Happy raging. T
Well, now y'all got a new subscriber. You were FEELING IT. Out of breath and injured. Loved your reaction and God bless 🙏 ❤
You are both my new favorite people! RATM was my FAVORITE group when I was in my 20's, now I'm 50. LOVE that you seem to love them! I subscribed. Peace!
Take The Power Back by Rage Against The Machine is also an amazing song, it's groovy, it has bars, it has a very deep message, and they rock hard on it man
Their whole first album is fire!
"Renegades of Funk," next!!!! You'll love it!!
Chop Suey System of a Down. They would love that song.
THIS!!^^^^
Not Chop Suey, BYOB!!!
No sh*t, that was the dopest reaction ever!! I'm a Rage fan and I seen this video a thousand times but y'all made it fun again!!
Thrilled to see the younger generation checking out Rage Against The Machine!!
They were forced to change the original lyrics from
“Some of those that hold office,
Are the same that burn crosses”
No they weren't. They changed it to "some of those that burn crosses are the ones who hold office" for the live version. They weren't forced into anything
20 years ago they were afraid of this band and their fans
Who is "they"?
@@paulkersey9553 for real? Lol "they" meaning the establishment, the ruling elites
Paul Kersey they is most likely the general public. Then the band and their fans were considered rebellious and trouble makers but here we are today and most of the country is preaching what they did then. Hope that explained it

They performed in sugar house utah and the town people were fucking terrified!! Nothing bad happened.. Lmaooo
I think best lyric in this song is "some of those that work forces are the same that burn crosses". Also " You're wearing your badge and you're cloaked in white". Powerful writing right there because it is true.
Man, you guys are freaking awesome. I watch you guys driving down the road. Best reaction videos ive seen. You deserve to be you tube stars.
This was a accidentally played uncut on the UK top 40 show when this was originally released.
I remember that, I also remember The Wildhearts playing live on Top of the Pops two weeks in a row with the song 'I wanna go where the people go' and for two weeks straight, sang the line 'I wanna be where the cunts like me are buried six feet underground' live to the nation at 7.30 on a thursday evening. good times
You have to do Rage Against The Machine "Wake Up" very strong lyrics.
Cheers from Portugal.

Rheasia "I really like them"
Me giggling in my head: "You have NO idea yet" Rage is a legit ass band. I cant wait to watch you expierence this wormbhole.
@Akashic Samadhi RAGE got in a lot of people's heads in the government. They started a smear campaign on them. It culminated when they taped "Sleep now in the fire". Check it out if you havent seen it.
I've got a feeling you guys are going to be doing a fair amount of RATM reactions, so I suggest reading the lyrics along with listening to the song. It adds so much to the experience and feeling of the song when you know what Zack is saying :) keep it up btw! I'm glad you like it so far!
