RATM has no borders, no races, just people. Love this. Seeing people enjoy this for the first time reminds me of the first time I heard freedom. My brain didn't even know what to do with it. Love everyone.
So glad I got to experience RATM in my 20's. Taught me a few things. Just like Tool, Deftones, Metallica, Clutch, Hum, Quicksand, John Spencer Blues Explosion, COC, Pantera, AIC, Soundgarden, etc. The 80's and 90's were a great time to experience music in pure form.
Remember hearing this back in 92....and you realize the musicians of today are just as relevant as the poets of ancient Greece. Or the historians of Ancient Rome. Or the Griots of Africa. They tell the story of our modern society, filled in fear and hate. If you choose that. Because in the end, it is a choice. Manufactured Consent (Chomsky, Herman)....is all it is...driving a society to division, hate, war and everything that goes with it.
I loved the good feeling that 80s music made me feel. But the self expression of the 90s was something different. I truly miss those days, when concerts were cheap enough to go to 5-10 per year and not have to save to just to go to one now. Music meant so much to us back then. Wish Gen Z could see how fucked up their Generation is and pick up a guitar and express themselves.
Gen Z can't even make eye contact & hold a conversation. No way they can appreciate great music 🎵🎵 like RAGE.....or even create good music. Are we doomed?Hope not❗
Check out these boomers saying typical boomer shit! If you think Gen Z kids aren't aware of how fucked things are, you're outta touch. If you think they're all the snowflakes the media has portrayed them as then you have fallen hook, line and sinker for mainstream media's agenda. I like the time they went on a news channel to perform this song and were asked to not swear and when the part came up he was censoring himself just saying "I won't do what you tell me" until the drop and then he just went for it and started saying "Fuck you I won't do what you tell me" live on TV. The video is on TH-cam. Its awesome.
The height of slam dancing, stage diving and crowd surfing!
so sad so many people have never heard rage...they are the greatest band ever...I got my tickets for alpine valley in 2 weeks opening show and I can't wait...fyi I'm older and grew up with rage.
The energy at their shows is pure. How can you not love this band. Politics, rap, heavy guitar with a funk twist. I was lucky enough to see a few of their shows. 2 hours feels like a week of Burning Man. The energy and message is crazy good. The Cops always freak so bring your riot gear.
Semper Fi
RATM has no borders, no races, just people. Love this. Seeing people enjoy this for the first time reminds me of the first time I heard freedom. My brain didn't even know what to do with it. Love everyone.
So glad I got to experience RATM in my 20's. Taught me a few things. Just like Tool, Deftones, Metallica, Clutch, Hum, Quicksand, John Spencer Blues Explosion, COC, Pantera, AIC, Soundgarden, etc. The 80's and 90's were a great time to experience music in pure form.
Clever to put all reactions into one video. Never seen that before on TH-cam. In th 90-ts, I was jumping to this. So happy right now.
thank you! I appreciate it.
Brilliant! Excellent choice, excellent reactors. Keep 'em coming!
love the facial reactions he put in 😂
Damn that was one of the best compilation reactions I've ever seen.
thank you, Harry. I appreciate that.
Manufactured Consent (Chomsky, Herman)....is all it is...driving a society to division, hate, war and everything that goes with it.
this whole album is timeless, in 30 years its still gonna bang our heads
I loved the good feeling that 80s music made me feel. But the self expression of the 90s was something different. I truly miss those days, when concerts were cheap enough to go to 5-10 per year and not have to save to just to go to one now. Music meant so much to us back then. Wish Gen Z could see how fucked up their Generation is and pick up a guitar and express themselves.
Gen Z can't even make eye contact & hold a conversation. No way they can appreciate great music 🎵🎵 like RAGE.....or even create good music. Are we doomed?Hope not❗
Don't be dicks, gen X raised gen Z... You got to raise your kids and expose them to the past.
Check out these boomers saying typical boomer shit! If you think Gen Z kids aren't aware of how fucked things are, you're outta touch. If you think they're all the snowflakes the media has portrayed them as then you have fallen hook, line and sinker for mainstream media's agenda.
If you think the kids aren't making amazing music, you're an old fart that can't keep up.
@@elisaabolafia9542 WE get to take over soon, so we will have 20 odd years to course correct.
Of course however, perhaps we will still just wanna say F**K you I won't do what you tell me!!
I can't believe there are so many who haven't heard this song... classic!
I follow half of these people and this was a great compilation..oh shit what the hell you got me into with this was epic..and Meka is adorable..so funny to me people are just now hearing RATM....they've been around for so long...and are always relevant..and Alex Hefner is always so funny..and we can't leave king supreme out...friend welcome to RATM..Enjoy the rabbit hole
thank you very much, I appreciate it.
RIP to the 50 individuals who lost their lives back in 1992 during the L.A. riots-and a BIG FXCK YOU to the officers who were acquitted for the beating of Mr. King, too!
"And the riot be the rhyme of the unheard!" -Calm Like a Bomb, RAGE (Rage Against the Machine) 💣🤘🏻❤️♾️
"you do what they tell you"......."now you're under control"....
well said.
Bands like Rage, Korn, Slipknot and so on deserves more recognition
Y'all been missing out. They fkng rock. Saw them w Korn at the Forum w AC/DC. ❤️
I love the mix of those who get the lyrics and those that just jam to the music!
We need Rage now more than ever! ✊🏻
Im glad i was born in the 90s music like this
The 90s was amazing for music and festivals. The music was meaningful. Not all but a majority
I saw Rage like 25 years ago in New Orleans with my oldest son who was a teenager at the time.
I remember the first time I heard this song, almost 30 years ago, it was a before and after moment, hooked to RATM forever
Loved that all of you were bopping your heads from the get go ! Seen bar patrons go absolutely ape shit when this song was played. 😂❤
I've heard this song one hundred times at least and I still get neck pains
So amazing to see youngsters of today react to the greatness that is RATM. Sadly, that type of music no longer exists. Today’s music has nothing like the great music of the 1990’s, which is a shame.
Proud to say this was Christmas number one in England, yes we have a sense of humour ;)
Rage Against the Machine is the only show left for me to see. Greetings from Rio de Janeiro.
This song defines my life, I spent the next decades working for the man and raging against the machine. Anti-glibalisation, Rodney King, La Riots,... the 90's dedines my entire entirw generation. At 50 yrs old i still tell.people I was the Heavy Metal, Crack cocaine and Breaking Shit generation. Mosh pits, raves, house wreckers, riots, protests and a lot of screaming.
You could see the fire get lit on each one of them at "now you do what they told ya" 🤘🏼
One of the greatest bands of their time. How do I know ? Their message resonated then...just as it does NOW.
Being a Gen Z RATM fan reading these comments make me glad I caught up earlier
Fondly remember being at clubs in the 90s (in my teens) while the entire crowd SCREAMED against corrupt government with their whole hearts and souls “FUCK YOU I WON’T DO WHAT YOU TOLD ME!!” ❤ Then we grew up and got jobs. Paying taxes. Wearing our seatbelts. Still screaming this in hearts and souls. And some of us workin to positively disrupt the System. Thanks for this. 🙏🏼🌸💞
And started forcing people to get vaxed
Now he does what they tell him. LOL. Rage FOR the Machine.
Tom Morello should get more credit for influencing the guitar sound after this.
I'm almost 60 years old,and I loved this band when they first came out and they can still get my heart pounding and my blood pumping. The best though is seeing a younger generation hearing and enjoying it.
Everything they said in their music IN 90s IS STILL TRUE TO THIS DAY!!!!
PEOPLE GOTTA WAKE UP!!!!
Been like that since the 60's and nothings changed, blind sheep
@@bab3242 let me give you some intelligence!!!! Rage Against The Machine wasn't around the 60s...that was who I was talking about!!!!
Can't lie this song playing on the in-game radio of San Andreas mid police chase made you feel like a total badass
Their music has never been more relevant, this should be the soundtrack to the revolution.
One of the best bands of all time.
HOW HAVE THESE PPL NOT HEARD OF RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE?!?! THIS BAND IS EPIC!!!!
That moment when they finally realized
Just you know, children, this what some of us Old People, listen too.
So, be nice with your grandpa and grandma, because they might be an ex-revolutionary somewhere.
Outstanding compilation!!!! Great job!
thank you, I appreciate it
@@shotaholic1
I agree
Awesome Job
@@cjturner370 thank you
2o years in the making. Saw them live and it was a straight up banger. Its hard to put into words how great of a show it was. They can still kick peoples teeth in.
Sometimes i think… the music is so good… it overshadows/drowns out the message. But if the music werent so good, we might not listen. Catch-22
Appreciate all the things going on like the baselines which are connected tight to the drummer there’s just so much good shit happening
You can literally see everyone thinking and processing without ever stopping nodding their head
This is everything music is supposed to be!
I just love that i experienced them in the early 1990s. Before they broke, 1993. I still have the concert ticket. My teenage years, what a fantastic time to be alive
I remember the first time I heard rage, at a record store, at the time this album came out.
Unfortunately the message is as relevant as ever in America.
More relevant in the age of Trump
I love the twins not saying a word in this edit, just cutting to them bobbing occasionally.
😁
It's fun to watch a new generation discover this music.
Yeah I can't really put myself in their headspace and guess their expectations. Then it doesn't take long to realize "OK, this is not The Commodores".
i remember that i had the night shift when i heard it the first time, listening to the vpro radiosation and they played this song....dear God, that was like 25-30 years ago.
The funny thing is in the 90s they were about anarchy and thinking for yourself but now support the very same people they used to complain about.
Lol no. Absolutely not. They’ve always been leftists, one only needs to read their lyrics with a basic comprehension of English to realise that lmao
Gen x here this is why our generation just don't give a shit about anything we grew up angry
This is an entire genre of it's own and I'm here for it.
6:11 and 6:18 la autentica experiencia, esta musica es como un relámpago que te mueve hasta los intestinos...es una experiencia que te arrolla
I'm proud that my daughter once sang this song and it went viral all over the world.
One of the best bands ever... period.
