    hi, i really like your videos. just wanna know the followings: 1) do meraki devices support tunnels formed with non meraki devices? 2) how does Meraki Wireless Qos work, is it applied for both upstream and downstream? 3) how meraki site to site tunnel work in terms of wireless ? thanks

    • @TheITWay
      @TheITWay  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello @AjAyChAn,
      Let me help you with your queries:
      1) Yes, the MXs can stablish VPN tunnels with Non-Meraki VPN peers, you can see the video on how to configure Non-Meraki VPN tunnels and how to troubleshoot it below.
      th-cam.com/video/BwCtY3rln4c/w-d-xo.html
      th-cam.com/video/WJNUImcWfWg/w-d-xo.html
      2)Yes, it is applied on both ways as long as the wireless client tag the frames with the appropriate QoS
      3) I did not quite understand your question. The site to site VPN tunnels can be established between a MX and another device. The APs are not able to establish any VPN tunnel to a non-Meraki device.
      Let me know if that helps you.

    • @TheITWay
      @TheITWay  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello @bigjohn67791,
      The Cisco Meraki devices do not use Cisco CLI. In fact, they do not have any CLI to be used. Their main option to monitor and make configuation changes for these devices is the dashbaord.

    Hello, I have a consult with the Meraki MX, we can enable the OSPF on Meraki MX? and create a static route with SLA? i have 4 MX450 and i need 2 data center but i need to have HA in both sites, you can help me with this questions?

    • @TheITWay
      @TheITWay  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello @Hugo,
      The Meraki MX only support OSPF for advertisement of remote VPN subnets. The MX has a feature to create static route and use some metrics to enable/disable them in the route table.
      You can find more information in the links below.
      documentation.meraki.com/MX/Site-to-site_VPN/Using_OSPF_to_Advertise_Remote_VPN_Subnets
      documentation.meraki.com/MX/Networks_and_Routing/MX_Addressing_and_VLANs
      Regarding the deployment you mentioned, I would recommend you to check the following documentation.

    I want to know if somebody get api key how they use with Meraki dashboard

    • @TheITWay
      @TheITWay  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello @Mihir,
      If I have your API Key, I can use a software like Postman and make API calls to retrieve information or even make changes on your organization. the only element I need to access your dashboard is your API key.
      You can go to your organization and profile, enable the API access on both and download Postman software in order to start playing around with this technology. You can go to Help> API Docs in your dashboard for more information.

      The only way to regain access is going through the documentation below or calling to Support for further guidelines.

      No
      I fixed it with the help of my colleague.
      He deleted my access and re-added.
      So no support from Meraki was required.

    Hello
    Can anyone tell me can I use Poe switch for networking to connect computer's... Will it sense and stop the power supply to non PoE device's?? Am planning to buy Cisco Meraki Go 48 port PoE Switch..
    Thanks

    • @philjackson991
      @philjackson991 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes if the switch is compliant with the 802.3 PoE standards. With 802.3af/at or better compliant switche,s PoE power is only delivered if it is negotiated by the device that is connected. No device request, no negotiation = no power. If you are still worried you can disable the PoE on a port by port basis. really no need to worry though. If you have a switch that uses proprietary PoE read the documentation.

  • @RichardSanchez137

    Once a device is claimed it can not be claimed by another org. Meraki will not unclaim a device even if you prove you own it.
