    It's actually shocking how poorly tech companies advertise their own solutions; it's exactly why videos like this need to exist. Thanks very much for the presentation, very useful indeed!

      i thought this video was from Cisco themselves. They should be paying this guy for training videos. Introduction videos like this are how some people will decide to buy this product

    Great video!
    I am supporting a new integration with Meraki MX devices, and I got my side of the integration down, but I didn’t really know what Meraki was all about. Truly appreciated! Great work!

    Thank you for your clear and to the point presentation. What does it mean when we say Meraki is a cloud managed technology ? Does it mean , for example, companies don't need to hire network admins/ network engineers ? Or they still need them to manage this device on the cloud ? Thank you in advance.

    • @lockielan
      @lockielan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      By cloud managed Meraki devices can be configured, managed and monitored anywhere you have an internet connection this is in contrast to how devices were traditionally configured, using a physical console cable.
      Network engineers are still required, they simply don’t need to physically connect to a device to configure, manage and monitor it.
      This is because Meraki decouples the control plane from the logic plane. The control plane is hosted in Meraki’s cloud infrastructure, securely pushing settings to edge devices via encrypted internet connection. The logic plane is hosted on physical Meraki devices within a LAN.
      In this way you can be more effective as a network engineer, managing multiple networks more quickly and in more depth than is otherwise possible.
      Hoping that makes sense!

    Hello
    Can anyone tell me can I use Poe switch for networking to connect computer's... Will it sense and stop the power supply to non PoE device's?? Am planning to buy Cisco Meraki Go 48 port PoE Switch..
    Thanks

      I can't comment on your exact topology without more information, however all you'd need to network multiple computers with a Meraki MS switch are ethernet cables plugged into both the switch and the computers (via the Network Interface Cards, NICs).

    Hi, who do I consult with by moving to this platform?

    • @lockielan

      The Cisco Partner Locator is a good place to start. This can help find Meraki partners in your location: locatr.cloudapps.cisco.com/WWChannels/LOCATR/openBasicSearch.do

    How long does it take to renew Licencing ? Is it an easy thing to do?

    • @lockielan
      @lockielan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Amie, It's straight forward to renew. Simply send a screen shot of your licensing page to your preferred Meraki Partner, requesting a quote. If you're happy to proceed with a purchase they can process this order and Meraki will email out your renewed licence details.
      If you don't have a preferred Meraki Partner, you can find one using Cisco's partner locator tool:
      locatr.cloudapps.cisco.com/WWChannels/LOCATR/openBasicSearch.do
      Location > Pick your location
      Technology > Meraki

    Does anyone know if Cisco will help you if you accidentally expose your serial number in an eBay ad and someone claimed your device. Thank you excuse me if I posted this before but I'm posting in multiple places to get different opinions

      I'm not sure there is a way around this issue. It may be worth contacting Meraki support to explore options: meraki.cisco.com/meraki-support/overview/
