I'm so happy you embraced it, I'm spanish and my natural hair is really straight and when I see people with similar hair as yours I just can't take my eyes of them, it's so beautiful, curly and full of life. I think all people with this kind of hair should be confident enough to wear it, it rocks xx
This spoke to my heart. I am recently natural and I've been struggling with it. I was so used to my straight, long hair that dealing with curly, big hair became a problem. I'm currently studying in Barcelona, Spain and have been tempted to straighten my hair, but after watching this I'm gonna stick it out and keep my promise of keeping my hair naturally curly while I am here. Great video! I ADORE the look at 4:10. Very inspiring! I too and focusing on the health of my hair. I figured out that my natural hair does not like "cones." My relaxed hair loved it. Once I cut out those products, and found a line or two I like, my hair has been prospering. Thanks for the video. You look SO pretty w/ your natural hair.

Total inspiration our journey is so similar I'm at the point where I just cut all my dead ends off in march 2013 and it's growing just slowly at its own pace so seeing yours grow over a year is such motivation

I do them myself. On occasion while finger detangling I will search my ends for any knots or splits and snip them off :)

Since having unhealthy hair all my life I've decided to go on a hair journey. I said earlier today that health is now more important to me than growth and I'm not going to focus on growing my hair anymore. I'm just going to care for my hair (with trial and error to begin with) and then the length should just follow anyway once I've found what is working for me :)

Its been 3mon since my last relaxer. I have just decided this year 2014 to go natural.
It has been difficult and I am watching 20 videos a day to just find out where to start and find a simple routine. I also just did a commitment cut only 1 1/2 inches. This video has added some excitement to my journey so Thanks!

WOW that really inspired me, I was also obsess with the length of my hair. I've started my transitioning February 10th and I originally wanted to do a year transitioned. I was afraid to cut my hair but now I finally cut my damaged relaxed ends ( my relaxed hair was beginning to shed) off two weeks ago and am happy but not excited because I can't really see my hair because its in braids and I would really like to focus on my natural hair.

omg. We are curl pattern TWINS. It's so hard for me to find someone with a similar texture to mine, coils that aren't exactly 3c yet not the texture of 4a. The graphics of this video were really nice ! Very well done.

Hello just find your page (subscribed) and love your hair. I also had long hair all my life until I played round with using so many "natural " hair products in my hair that it got shorter and thinner. It's now been a year and my hair grow back and thick. I learned my lesson.
Finally my TH-cam hair twin! You just made yourself a new subscriber.
P.S. I recently BC and understand the discomfort you had of not having the length, because Im in the same position (It was originally waist length and I BC 1 year and 4 months post relaxer). However I know itll grow so long as I care for it. By the way your hair is beautiful keep of the great work.

I feel like everyone who transitioned to natural hair has gorgeous hair ...meanwhile I'm currently transitioning and my hair looks horrible I have sooo much heat damage .. Legit I've tired so many different hairstyles but nothing ever works!! Your hair gives me sooo much hope that one day I'll achieve my hair goal

Yeah....I did that impulse chop too after having the plan to gradually trim, like you said. lol.
1:19 Is just blow dried and flat ironed hair with some bangs cut to the side. 1:35 was a wash and go on extremely heat damaged color treated hair, so thats just what it looked like when it would air dry hahaha

Very beautiful hair! I had the same dilemma with my own. Dying my hair on top of having relaxers made my long hair very thin and to the point where I had to cut it chin length, and then I decided to lay off the chemicals, took longer periods between relaxing and then eventually decided to go back to natural. Now its my one yr anniversary since I began my second transition (failed the first time lol) and im also wanting badly to cut off the straight ends but cant seem to really get used to having such short hair. I figure maybe 6 more months and ill let em go. Great vid hun :)
