It is a wonderful tutorial, thank you so much! I made one in two strands of cream colour cotton (meant to be used with 2,5-3,5 mm needles) using 5mm needles and casted 44 stitches. I love the bonnet and can't wait to gift it to my pregnant colleague

At the beginning of row two and row three it looks like you just slippied the first stitch onto the needle, also in the video when you start the garter stitch again it looks like you're slipping the first stitch but you don't say slip first stitch, I'm confused at this, do we slip the first stitch at the beginning of each row or knit it?

I did 72 but Gwen Heng has a good video explaining how to do the measurements but it has to be number that you can divide by 2 as well as 3
