This is so good! Beginner knitter here, about a week in. I’ve only made two scarves but I love love love your work and channel and I’m excited to be growing my skills and tapping into a community!!! I’m mainly a crocheters (hookers unite) but I’ve been dabbling in sewing and now knitting and it’s just perfect timing
thank you for this tutorial!!🫶 i followed along and made a snoopy bonnet for my last min halloween costume! i added some crochet ears and a pompom for the nose
This is genius. I’ve tried figuring out this stuff on my own for years and thought I had to use magic loop for all my dream projects. Turns out I don’t, holding the stitches for later is eye opening. Now I just need to find non itchy yarn. There’s no hope for me, I made a kerchief (or tried lol) in cashmere and silk and even that was itchy wth? 🤭 Knitting with 3 strands of cotton may be my only way to survive. I could maybe make an i-cord yarn and use that? Would love a video on that
love the video, though you move through the picking up stitches portion rather quickly! any chance you could do a slowed down version of that section for us beginners? I purchased the pattern and it's still not entirely clear (or maybe i'm just slow😅)
that probably wouldn't create the right size - the best way to check is to make a gauge swatch from the instructions in the pattern to see if your materials will work
Hi! Did you used 2 skeins of 150 m of yarn becouse you mixed them and used them together ? I want to make this project by one color - one type of yarn - and I am wondering - do I need to take 150m or 300m of total.
I'm assuming you want to know how to pick up a stitch on a raw edge. I use a crochet hook. I hold the yarn behind the work. I insert the crochet hook into the center of the knit stitch. Then I hook yarn and pull through. That stitch I transfer onto a knitting needle. I know other people can do this with just a knitting needle, but I can't. I hope this helps and doesn't confuse you.
Please keep up your long form videos! I love them. People call us knitters ‘boring’ and you are anything but - your content is so captivating! 💗
So sweet, thank you!
I saw this video and decided I just had to learn how to knit and make it. Thanks for inspiring me to get into knitting!
So amazing!! Congrats on getting started, so glad this helped
it is absolutely gorgeous!! I made in like 4-5 hours and it looks sooo cute I'm in love
yay so glad you enjoyed it!!

Glad to hear it:)

Hello! i just found your page. Im super excited. I was wondering how many should I cast on? Thank youu
hi welcome! exact stitch numbers can be found in the pattern - download link is in the description:)
Thankyou for the tutorial. ❤
it looks so cute! can i ask what yarn you used for the light blue bonnet?
"air" by drops design!
YASSSS LOVE THIS!!!
I'm crash making this as a complete beginner 🤣
Any experience making it with mohair wool? What size yarn would you recommend? :)
I haven't used mohair but I've held two strands of Drops Melody which has a similar fuzzy mohair effect!

am i able to make this with only one string of yarn (not double) and a 5 + 6 mm needle?
that probably wouldn't create the right size - the best way to check is to make a gauge swatch from the instructions in the pattern to see if your materials will work
Is it for children? I bought the pattern, did everything according to the instructions, but it's soooo small!
no it's for adults - your knit may be quite tight, but you can loosen the bonnet and make it bigger by blocking it to your desired size
I had to add more rows to fit my head lol. I don’t have a large head but the pattern was quite small.
hi

hi, you will still need 2 skeins to make this in one color!
Immediately ordered needles this is going to be the second thing i knit after my shitty scarf lol
good luck!!!
Hi! Beginner here! Is it possible for this to make using those straight long needle? Or I need to get circular ones?
Hi, you will need circular needles for this pattern!
is it absolutely essential to switch needles for the ribbing?
it would still work without changing, but I like to use smaller needles to make sure the ribbing stays snug on the head.
The pattern😃
Is there a way to do this with straight needles
No, this must be made on circular needles
Can you please make crochet bonnet in this design? 😍😍😍😍😍
i already made one on the @materialgrrrlz channel :)
you make it seem so easy😬 🧶🪢
Is the pattern only available in UK currency? I’d really like to purchase it 😢
On my site it will only show up in £ but you can check out with a card from any country:)
hey! love this pattern - if I can meet gauge would 1 strand chunky yarn be an OK substitution?
thanks! yes, as long as gauge is correct that should work fine :)
can you do a left handed tutorial?
I’ve been trying for hours my brain cant comprehend how how to pick up stitches
