Sabal Brazoria (Brazoriensis) Palm Seedling Update | Summer 2023

Here's a quick update on the Sabal Brazoria (aka Brazoriensis) palm seedlings I've been growing for over 4 years now.

Thanks! They have been really low maintenance except for a little bit of cold protection during a couple of rare deep freezes.

I have a picture of the mother palm, so I’ll try to locate it and include it in the next update. I’m pretty confident that it’s a Brazoria, but we shall see. Thanks Sandor!

Looks good! What you think true that Sabal Brazoria is most cold hardy trunk Sabal palm? And how much it cold resistant?

Thanks! I’ve never had any issues with them unprotected in winter down to the low teens. I’ve heard of them even surviving below zero Fahrenheit without winter protection, but that may not be common in all conditions. Apparently it’s hybridized with the Sabal Minor, so it’s possible.
