    I have no idea who you are, 2 minutes into the video.
    But the fact you're one of the few who actually spend the time to put together a 2 hour video course for free, shows me one thing.
    That you've been successful enough with your ACTUAL drone / photography work, that you dont NEED to worry about the lost course revenue.
    One must ask themselves, do these other people mainly make money through their courses, or through actually preforming the work?
    I'd rather be taught by someone actually supporting themselves via the work, not the courses.
    It's the same thing as, would you rather take engineering advice from someone who's actively building a car right now, or someone that's been stuck in a lecture hall for the past 10 years teaching something they havent actually done in over a decade?

    I make about 4K a month doing real estate but I have a mavic 3 cine so once clients saw the quality they don’t want anyone else. But it took me years to get here too and a lot of word of mouth. I had the Mini 2 and Mavic Pro before and barely made money with them. I also offer video service with my A7sIII and 14GM. I don’t even reach out realtors anymore they see the videos from my other clients and I get messages on my video page. But it was crickets for 3 years lol 😂

    THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! I just did my first drone real estate job. Let me tell you. It would not have been possible without your instructions!!! You thoroughly explained every detail that i needed. You definitely speak my language. You explained it so simple that it was very easy for me to understand. I have spent so much money learning this trade. I have been watching other real estate photographers charge a high fee and i felt that I walked away not learning much. To be honest, I have learned so much more by watching your FREE video than the other paid instructional videos. I've just purchased Mini 4 Pro and intend to use it for Estate Agency shots for Detached Properties here in the UK.
    I'm only halfway through this video , and have learned so much.

    My Question is, after taking shots, video's and editing how much should I charge the Estate Agents for one Standard Property?
    I am now a proud subscriber to your Amazing channel.

  • @Fixitall-ACE
    @Fixitall-ACE ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Great video. Just some advice I would never recommend shooting Auto White balance. You can see in your screen recordings the colors changing and the white balance going from 5100k to 5500k which would change the colors significantly. Honestly you should be shooting at 5600k on a sunny day and shoot 5800-6000k on a cloudy day. Locking your white balance would highly improve color accuracy and isn’t hard to do. Hope you don’t take it the wrong way. Great video either way.

    • @InsideRealEstatePhotography
      @InsideRealEstatePhotography  ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Thanks for the input! I understand your concern but out of thousands of drone shoots I’ve done cannot recall even one time I’ve had a color shift during a shot because of auto white balance. Yes, it’s shifting in the screen recording because there’s a piece of construction paper in front of the lens and the camera has no idea what’s going on haha. Out in broad day light, it’s a non-issue and that does not occur. Auto WB remains sound advice in my opinion and one less setting to worry about. Nothing wrong with doing it manually if you choose to do so.

    • @TheHoveringScotsman
      @TheHoveringScotsman 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Have to agree, was very surprised to see Auto White Balance being recommended for a professional aerial video, I suppose you can get away with it in slow footage like this, but I've ruined many a speed ramp by forgetting to lock WB.

    Hi Mike, what photo settings would you use for an DJI Air 2s? You mentioned it is stuck on aperture F2.8... so what do you do for ISO and shutter speed in daylight situation? Great comprehensive video by the way. Excellent job! Thanks so much!

    • @InsideRealEstatePhotography
      @InsideRealEstatePhotography  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey! Thanks. For photos I would set the iso to 100 and put the shutter on auto and just let it determine the shutter speed on its own. You will have no issue in daylight with those settings. If it’s dark that’s another story.

    Ok, question. Im SO glad you put this video out. Im just getting into RE photography. Im not new to photography. Im a rodeo photographer. anyway, im new to RE so im starting from the very beginning in learning. Thats why im so glad you put out this video lol. Ive been watching you for a few months now. Almost a year. Anyway, sorry. So, with outsourcing your photo editing and video editing how do you tell them exactly what you want done? How do you tell them how to edit your photos or do you juat tell them you want HDR and all hand blended?

    • @InsideRealEstatePhotography
      @InsideRealEstatePhotography  ปีที่แล้ว

      Appreciate it! I don’t usually outsource any video editing but do outsource a good amount of photo editing. Most of them do hand blend. The end result is what counts so as long as what you are getting back looks great and is to your standards no worries on what methods they are using!

    Great video.. instead of manually videoing a circle why not use the quick shots, nothing lost by using this feature and everything to gain.. who cares if you didn’t do it manually? The client will love it and save you re-setting and trying to get it right over and over.. simple app with success every time.. almost guaranteed. Can use for drone/ boomerang etc of zooming in/out too.. Cheers, Chris. UK.

    It would be a good idea to learn about the Pitch, Yaw and Roll settings as well which set the sensitivity of the sticks for moving in those directions. Basically it adjust the amount of play in the sticks before the drone moves which helps out with manual flight for cinematic footage.

    Thanks for all the work you've put into this, I'm finding it very useful. Obviously you wouldn't run into this on this type of property, but if there are people around, especially in neighbor's gardens, do you still use the drone or leave it for another time? Do you notify or ask permission from neighbors?

      I just go for it. I’m there to do a job and it’s gotta get done. We are completely within our rights to do it and are not breaking any laws. I rarely have a problem from any neighbors even if they are outside but it does happen. I just try to explain calmly and politely what I’m doing if I’m approached. They may not like it but as long as your not aggressive towards them if they approach you should be fine.

    Mike, thanks for the great video. One question, do you always shoot in normal color profile? Is there ever a time you shoot in log?

    First off, thanks for this. I'm an experienced drone pilot in this market but still got a lot from it, liked and subscribed. One thing though, are you sure you have drone 'Liability" insurance through State Farm? In California and most if not all other states, they do not have liability, only a PAP or personal effects policy which only covers the loss of a drone. They do not cover liability which is what everyone needs when flying. Having a $1500 loss from a drone is better than a 1.5 million dollar loss from being sued. So, be careful with the State Farm drone policy. I have a business liability policy through them but the fine print of their drone insurance is sketchy to say the least. The $60 policy that State Farm is offering to cover your drone may not be as good as it sounds. First off even if you dont have a home, a claim will count as a claim against a house. If you then go to get homeowners insurance within the next 5 years you will either get denied by some, or have a higher rate. The State Farm agent told me that if I made a claim on this drone then I wouldn't be able to even get home insurance with them for 2 years by default, 5 years max. If you already have home insurance your rates will go up from a claim on a drone. This will end up costing you far more than the price of the drone. The fine print goes on and on.

    Recently moved from the Air2s to the Air3. Getting the mini 4 soon for interior shots. I was suspect of the smaller sensor but am very happy with the output. Nice summation and thanks for sharing!

      I have done the same thing, I'm using my Air 3 for interior shots, works really well.

      I have used it while handheld for interior work, same as the 2s. I tend to shoot pretty expensive properties and I don't feel comfortable with a heavy drone like the Air 2s or Air 3. Used to use the mini 2 and it did great. Don't need any sensors inside, just a flying big mac with a camera that is unlikely to mark or stain in a mishap. Looking forward to the Mini 4 though. I have missed my stolen Mavic 2 pro, and both of these have everything but the sensor size.@@dragonflymedia3979

    For shooting your more standard properties and capturing lower elevated shots would you recommend an arial pole/mast. Getting a drone soon but not sure if I need a pole as well?

      @InsideRealEstatePhotography  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve never used a pole or anything like that. Drone always does the trick!

    You are really, really good at this. I appreciate the fact that you actually explain what you are doing and how to do it. There are a lot of youtube drone videographers, some are really good with technique and others are good teachers, rarely is there any one that is good at both to help beginners like me. I hope to be good like you all and I know it comes with much practice, trial and error. One thing I would do personally, I would offer a random person a (one time only) opportunity to be tutored by me for (1) 5 hour in person training. What a confidence booster!

    I have a question hoping you might know the answer: My pictures are coming out great, but my videos when I put them in lighthouse classic, the pixels are moving all over the place. So, the videos look terrible! Do I have terribly wrong settings? I think the setting are in auto, I'll have to recheck. What would cause this?

  • @Andredelapaz07

    I use auto settings for drone real estate photos and videos and never noticed a problem. Is that bad and do you think I can continue doing it long term?

    A puzzle: I inserted a San Disk extreme Plus 64 GB 42 U3 into my DJI RC and it says: No Card N/A. What type do ssd do u need?

      Hmm I’m not sure why that didn’t work. I’m actually not sure. I use the DJI RC pro which has its own internal memory so I’m not using and sd card in my controller.
