    Here in my town everyone’s “city tap water” is 0PPM. You don’t need to towel dry here. B.C, Canada. Great content!

    10 cents for clean water is crazy cheap in my opinion. In Cleveland i dont even know if a place to get it at. If you buy a setup to make your own its like 50 cents a gallon.
    Just paid $3.15 a gallon for regular at Costco. Its 3.48 at the regular stations.

      Yeah I’m lucky to have many detailing stores that offer DI water over here.
      Are there any detailing stores out there ?
      Because that super expensive 😓 you might want to get a DI tank rental

    BRO JUST SAYING I KNOW U HAVE YOUR OWN WAY OF TAKING CARE OF YOUR SITUATIONS. A OTHER TIP FOR USING HARD WATER 💦 TRY USING SUPERIOR PRODUCTS FORMULA 4 SPRAY WAX. ITS VERY GOOD STUFF AFTER WASHING THE CAR WITH HARD WATER 💦

    any thoughts on switching to more battery powered equipment? I have the Milwaukee single 18v fuel shop vac, it does an excellent job. EGO just came out with a pressure washer and shop vac. initial cost is high, but I believe in long term it will bring more money. Easier to carry extra batteries than gas cans.

    • @m3finish
      @m3finish  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey thanks for dropping in on the comments ! I wish I could switch over but for me it wouldn’t make sense for me I am mobile. Sometime I work on 5-10 cars a day and the batteries wouldn’t hold for me in the long run. Also the battery life’s deteriorate over time. Keep in mind to the price of batteries are not cheap as well. I will stick to gas for now.

    Keep a 1 galllon or 2 gallon jug of gas somwhere in your setup for top offs to just get enough to get the job done then refill later without having to pack up.

    bro get battery operated vacs,drills & pressure washer then far as the wash do rinseless

    • @m3finish
      @m3finish  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For me it doesn’t make sense to be battery operated for a vacuum and a pressure washer sometime we do big volume so it wouldn’t last that long. That why I rely on gas for my pressure washer and a gas generator. What do you use for battery operated equipment ?

    would it make sense to invest to make your own spotless water from your own tap? im not a detailer, just a dude that likes to detail his own and families cars... i bought a DI tank, and realize that i had to "clean" the water before it reaches the DI tank, so i bought a few filters, that i use before the water reaches the DI Tank, but the most important piece is a Reverse Osmosis filter... i have the prevoius filters clean the water, then it goes thru a booster pump to raise the PSI to 100 to maximize the efficensy of the RO Filter, then the water goes to my DI tank... the water when it leaves the RO system is to 5-9 tds (from 350-450 from L.A tap water), then the DI tank doesnt work as hard so the filter should last for a very very very long time... i have 2 55 gallons i fill to keep as my reservor, and another 35 gallon tank i use to feed the water pressure... it was an investment to save the DI tank, and the cool thing is, i have water at 0 tds, never leave spots, so much of it, seems unlimited... anyways, just curious why i dont see alot more proffesional detailers invest in making there own water, 10 cents a gallon is a good price tho...

    • @m3finish
      @m3finish  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey thanks for dropping in on the comments I appreciate it. I’ve did a lot research on my own water. From buying my own di tank to even renting one. But I would say for me it’s cheaper just to go pick up water for 10 cents a gallon. I really want to just buy one for the convenience but the resin is so high in price. How much does it cost for you to maintain and change the resin?

    • @soynobody2741
      @soynobody2741 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@m3finish i understand what your saying, its not for everyone... i have not have to change resin yet, i probably have filled up the tanks at least 20 times (the 2 55 gallons), so more than 2000 gallons... the tds meter still shows 0... the DI tank, is expensive, but if you do the Reverse Osmosis before it, it makes it last for a very very very long time... so the resin will last alot longer, no need to change as often, i havent need to change yet... supposedly, if i did my math correct, i should be able to get 16000-20000 gallons of 0 tds water before i need to worry about changing the resin.. but thats in theory, since i have not used that much water to confirm thats what i get... also, you wouldnt need a big DI tank either, you can get away using a smaller DI tank.
