    Need to put each DD coil straight up and down so half of the the coil ( 1 D ) is vertical to ( 2 D ) .

    Need to lower swing speed on that big coil and turn coil right way and you may see a good diff in depth

    Nice demonstration. Soil conditions vary but this was a great reference demonstration. Thanks for taking time to show. The little 6” was impressive. 👍

    My thoughts are this
    #1 you don't swing your coil as fast as your moving your hand
    #2 the big coils center was 6 inches above the box so you were really testing the outer perimeter of the coil...

  • @williampaxton871
    @williampaxton871 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    That was a very well done and informative video. The key was that you kept the testing consistent through all three coils. Excellent!

      Thanks! I have 2 equinox's but did not want to use both because one may have issues and you may not know it and get 2 different results.

    Steve you goin' really fast here..the coil would not be swinging over the target this fast..i'm thinking recovery speed here. ;-) I like the rest of it !

    I put a 6" on my Equinox 600 and I love it, so much better than the 11". I know I'm pulling targets that I wouldn't have easily found or ever found with the 11". The 6" does great at the beach as well, plus the weight of it makes it nicer to swing and cut through shallow water.

  • @douglassuda8001

    I like your video's because I learn from them. When you can see the numbers and hear the sounds, that's how you learn the machine when you dig your finds.

  • @srf2112
    @srf2112 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You mentioned that the machine was factory reset but I didn't catch which mode you were in? Since you didn't say you also adjusted sensitivity down, which I would have suspected would need to be done testing inside your house, I'm curious what the sensitivity level was set at? I have the owners manual downloaded and I wanted to check the factory presets chart. Very informative and impressive test. Yes it's not analogous to real world conditions but it gives solid relative results between the different coils. I'm planning on getting an EQ 800 as well as a 6" coil but not the 15". This video confirmed that plan in my mind. Thanks

    • @Stealth12354
      @Stealth12354 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      He does mention the mode and he used the factory presets without changing any settings. That's the point of the factory reset.

      Have you find golp also deep?

  • @James-lj7rm
    @James-lj7rm 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The coils were not all in the same direction. You were running vertical with the 6 and 15 in. and horizontal with the 11in. Also, your swing would not be so fast in the field. Another question, have you tried detecting in the pinpoint mode for depth?

    did you ever remake this video with the coils aiming up instead of sideways? when you metal detect you swing side to side, this test would be like swinging forward and back on a target. That's not how you metal detect, and not how the coils are supposed to be used.

    I think the 15 would of done better as the coil was on the low side ?? Hottest part in the centre . Bad to see but the coin seemed close to the ruler which would be ok for the 6 but not the 15 . They are all good coils .Last week my son popped a gold ring with 2 emeralds at 8 inch on land previously detected . With the 15 . Good comparison test show's the 6 is no sloutch .

    Air tests are Just fine , the medium is air .
    Its 'permability' is lessen than wet soil or even dry soil .
    But it shows Just how deep , in percentages / reference , the coils go.
    Just the haters ,have remember it goes deeper in soil .

      Anthem 2112 he tested the coil way out of it’s hot zone. He should have raised the coin to the centre of the coil and the results would have been much better. This is a double D coil so it has a very narrow range.

  • @TheTimijay
    @TheTimijay 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    You should have tested the large coil from the centre range rather than the edge of the coil and have the range vertical rather than horizontal. Double D coils are narrow banded and signals are weaker at the left and right sides of the coil. Otherwise thank you great video mate.
