How Do Barrels Influence Whiskey?

Great video as always! That Angel's Envy Caribbean Rum Cask finish is amazing. I tried it at a bar and immediately went out and bought a bottle. It's one of the most unique flavor profiles I've had.

So is barrel proof the same thing as cask (cast?) strength?
Angels Envy is such a great name IMO.

Yes! It means that it has not been proofed down since it left the barrel/cask.
