  • Hey Guys! Here we bring you the actual FIX! That took care of our car shaking and vibrating loud! Everytime we used to drive this car we couldn’t even hear the music comfortably without the loud vibrating sound that shakes the whole entire car!
    Well I was also quoted by the dealership almost $2,000 for this fix! Parts and labor! I went ahead and bought the parts myself through XL auto Parts and ended up saving over $1,500 in repairs!!!!
    So in this video we will show you that we fixed this noise by replacing the T-Bone Mount and Engine Mount on this 2007 Honda Civic EX-L Coupe
    Check out this video on HOW TO REMOVE/INSTALL BELT TENSIONER

    Thanks for walking me through this. I had a clank when I hit the gas and I couldn’t figure it out. Your video convinced me to take a look at the mounts and that big bolt in the back was really loose. I hand tightened it to get me home and will crank it down when I get there. Life saver bro.

      The rubber in your mounts is becoming hard and going bad. As your motor warms up the rubber in the mounts warm up and you feel/hear less vibration. My car is fine when it’s above 40 degrees outside. When it’s cold it vibrates worse. The quality of rubber used in parts these days is terrible.. it dries out and cracks fast. I have 140k miles on my civic. I’ve replaced the lower passenger mount because it was vibrating in reverse. Problem solved. A few years later it’s vibrating again and has a crack in the rubber. Might have to buy a mount from Honda instead of autozone.

    Engine mounts are done it’s taking the vibration from the engine into the frame of the car. Yes even with the fly wheel there’s still some vibration from the engine. If your mounts are toast then they are not damping the vibration and the vibration will find it way through the car

      @@Hustle2Succession Yeah, so I only got my engine mount replaced almost a year ago and the car is great now. Minor vibrations here and there, but that’s to be expected from Hondas. Also, because of the vibrations the engine mounts caused, I think something came loose somewhere inside the car and rattles like crazy at around 2 rpm and 3 rpm (lower tone). Still trying to figure out where it’s coming from, but I’m honestly just relieved the annoying vibration is gone.

    • @HidalgoMotorsCo
      @HidalgoMotorsCo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Mr Zuniga. It's hard to tell. The motor mounts could be defective. Maybe replacing those would work.
      Also I would suggest checking the rest of your suspension. If you hear clunking. Typically comes from struts or shocks either front or rear. Also ball joints and tie rods could cause clunking.

      That rattle is common with the VVT solenoid. There is a spring that will stick and works loose after the car is started which causes the rattling sound. I have a 2013 Honda Accord that does this and even happened on a 2009 Toyota Camry, too. There are some videos about it and it is a HUGE pain in the rear to fix. It doesn't hurt anything and is mainly an annoyance.

    Also how do you know if there is something wrong with the lower strut? I changed out the engine side mount last weekend and the top part was completely broken off but with the lower strut is it just the rubber wearing off pretty much?

    • @HidalgoMotorsCo
      @HidalgoMotorsCo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah the shocks usually burst and leak slowly. a good quick test is to put pressure on each strut/shock and watch to see if the car bounces or stays put. if the car bounces the shocks are bad. - idk if that makes sense. for any more in depth questions please don't hesitate to contact us on facebook on our page hidalgo motors co.

    Can someone help me, so I bought a salvaged Honda Civic 2017 and the only problem seemed to be there was a few dents and scratches. I then realized the oil pan was broken so I got it fixed but there is still a burning smell from under the hood and I just assumed it was the oil drying up? • @HidalgoMotorsCo
