Please don't let Nashville destroy your music thank you
The reason this song resonates with me is it's simplicity. With only a guitar and fiddles you hear every word.
I love many types of music. I'm 26 in 2021, metal, country, oldies, some pop.... but I've never connected to a musician more than I have Jason. People say they love an artist because of their enjoyment. I love this guy, as a brother whom I've only shared 2, thirty second conversations with. He's so real.
Sang this to my baby girl as a lullaby. Love the song.
Best live Texas country artist around! Go see him, very down to earth and amazing voice!
Real Country. Waylon would be proud. Damn this is epic
No disrespect intended and I like Waylon but he did not write any of his music,
@@ericsimpson1176 simply not true he wrote many songs.
Top 10 all time texas classic song
VERY VERY underrated artist.
I freakin' love this kid. I can call him that , 'cause I'm 65.
If JB&TS came up to New England, I'd buy up tickets for my friends and I straight away. No way I could miss the best true modern country songwriter and band out there today.
We are hoping to take The Texas Music Scene National by September 2014 and if we do then Jason and all the guys will be coming your way.
Grew up where this song takes place. Takes me back every time, can't wait to move back!!
BigWillie836 I'm right down the road from rileys in hunter texas
Another great country song you will never hear on country radio. If Jason had come out in the 70's or early 80's he'd be a superstar. Thank God for Pandora and streaming radio. Maybe I'll get lucky and The Stragglers will venture up to the midwest.
David Scott Thayer they play it all the time in the Austin /San Marcos area.
Cause it sucks where your from in Muskogee Oklahoma I hear it all the time
Being from Tennessee. I had never heard of them until we moved to south Texas. Now I am a huge fan. I got to see them in Longview Texas a few weeks back. My favorite song is Electric Bill.
Hey you might like Owen Temple's "Tennessee Highway"
Thanks
Thank god for streaming audio/video. Being in PA its hard to find music like this.
This song is stupid good! If there were any sense or taste in the music industry, JB&TS would be selling out arenas all over the country. I am really happy I have satellite radio. Its how I discovered this incredible songwriter and many others.
Could care less when this song came out, absolutely love this song and his music! And that fiddle player "damn"
this is an awesome version of this song
Agreed. Great musicians and great people. Thanks for the post!
i was there at the fair and he ROCKED THE FAIR!!!!!!!!!!!
Never been to Texas in my life. I saw Grady Smith’s TH-cam episode on Texas Country music. Checked it out and now I want to go there! I want to hear more Tejano music, too. Y’all are kindred spirits, am I right?
Maybe so.
love the shirt he for sure blows down, and yes Waylon would be so proud.
I get chills every time I hear this masterpiece
My dads favorite Boland song... Miss and love ya pop's
This is what Bruce Springsteen was hoping for with his Western Stars album. So much good feel outta this tune. Done some miles over the road listening to the Stragglers.
Real Music!
Jason is the real deal!!
Great song
Boland is the best we got
wisco1outdoors i like that
Only 29 cook kids listening to the good stuff? Seen many many times in Tulsa
he should play music at the county fair. i remember when comal was only 15000 people, if even. and now theres too many to count.
lol. I loved that. "everybody's faking it".
yes this is a good song
See him last night in lee county
There’s a hidden meaning in this song, and if you’ve been in Comal County jail, you’d know that the men wear blue uniforms. It’s by far has the coldest holding cell’s! It’s weird because the women wear blue in most Texas county jails; like Bexar county.
The only reason I'm giving a thumbs down is because you interrupted the second verse with part of the interview. Please keep the interview separate from the performance. It really does make sense. Thanks
How's that hip? Lol
sometimes you have to fake it! lol
Not a Blues song... title fooled me.
