How is Jason not one of the biggest stars on country music??????
My thoughts....He never sold out. His sound is his own. Nashville seems to think that music like this won't sell. So we get what we have now....I call it watered down country. This is what I call 90 proof country. You won't get stuff like this on the radio because most people can't handle the strong stuff.
A question I've asked myself many times.
He woulda been but you jinxed it with so much superfluous punctuation.
@@crazyheart1976 yeah a lot of Texan country artist that didn’t sign with Nashville are under rated
This song is absolutely gorgeous, prefer it with the fiddle, but man the feels. Thank you for it, sir.
Takes me back to my early 20s just drinking hanging with friends not worrying about a thing.
Cheers to that
Yessir.. all day everyday
I have been addicted to Jason Boland and the stragglers since 2009. Love all their music! Everytime I’m out of Texas I play this song to bring me back
The sound of my young afult life...like 18 till 26 , luuuvred dirt music, back then it was randy rogers, jason boland, wade bown, kevin fowler, stoney larue, no justice, reckless kelly, god i miss good music..
I’m so glad I live in Texas where country music lives on
No joke. SO much damn talent. As a Canadian I am happy to have discovered this channel
I'm damn jealous of you!

How them stragglers be? Still straggling? Thank you Jason you paved the way.
Still remember the first time I heard this song 17 years ago. Still a great great one.
Same here. And several years after I heard it I had a chance to visit Texas......cracked up a bottle of Shinerbock and turned this song on my phone as I watched the sun set :)
Thank you Jason. Brings me back to my home state. I live in Seattle, but my heart belongs to Texas. I had this song on repeat while flying back to BIG TEX to see my dad. My mom who passed away 6 years ago would have loved to hear this song.
Down in Texas is so special to me.
I’m wondering WHY this is under a million views… I will drive to Texas from Missouri to see this!! And freakin Cody must be enlightened. The dude is incredibly talented. Keep kickin ass Texas. I’m gonna have to move down there.
Not only is Cody enlightened, he's Wade Bowen's brother in law.
@@sjeverett75 i never knew cody and wade were brother in laws! im related to CCR, my uncle is grady. pretty cool to find that out.
Im not a big country fan but this song is tied to more memories than I can count. This is one of those songs that’s completely underrated outside country music.
Im not even gonna comment this is so badass
I actually work at a sheet metal shop..... I guess the old drummer use to work at... Been a Boland fan many years
Just f...... great.👍 Big fan here from Denmark.
