These folks had owned a larger home before. After living in Europe for a few years, they changed their perspective on how much sq footage they needed/wanted. When they returned to the U.S., all they could find was large homes that they did not want any more. So they bought this land intentionally to design/build something smaller yet of still the highest quality. Everyone has different needs & perspectives on what is important to them….and we see this often change with time too.
