If you can't get any fiddler crab you can always get a soft plastic from savage gear that'll be realistic looking an get some proline attractant spray in creyfish frog an nightcrawler which is awesome to use. It helps attract fish.
If you gonna throw the fish back would like to see it treated a bit better, like the one you leverage your pliers on its eye to get the hook out was a bit meh. Ah well maybe im just to sentimental, I would probably put some soft mat on the floor as well so they damage themselves less. But great footage you inspire me to go out and get a kano to fish myself, greetings from the Netherlands.
Looked like a pretty decent day on the water. You caught some nice eating size fish and it looked like a couple gave you a pretty good tussel ta boot. Good fishing Eli
Long, long ago, when my father would take my brother and me pier fishing in the Galveston area, sheepshead were considered trash fish. That was true of pretty much everything besides specks, reds, and flounder. We might keep the occasional large whiting, but we threw back a lot of good-eating fish. I didn’t find out sheepshead were good to eat until I was a grownup!
I hear where you are coming from Dan. Here in Australia, I threw a whole lot of ‘rubbish ‘ fish over the side while in pursuit of more desirable species. 30 years later, I quietly curse myself for those ‘bad’ days of yesteryear when all we caught was ‘rubbish’ and came home empty handed when we had a good feed but poor knowledge. Today, I still love catching the classic edibles, but I don’t mind catching yesteryear’s ‘crap’.
When I was a kid, first time ever going to the ocean, my dad took me on a fishing trip. First day was on a smaller boat in the bay and the second and third days would be in the Gulf Stream on his friends big charter boat. Well the first morning at the docks I asked about all the tiny crabs handing around amd if fish would eat them. The guide said fish would eat them and if I caught one then he would let me use it for bait. My eyes lit up. I went to WORK. I found a net on a boat and asked to borrow it. I chased those crabs everywhere. 😂 I ended up catching a couple dozen and we had the best day catching those sheepshead fish.
Elias the dock slayer. Sheephead fishing so much fun and technical. Love to chum it up and fish the natural bait. Best pound for pound fight In tight spots.
My dad was a captain and I grew up at a marina fishing for sheepshead. The best crabs to use are those little black ones that hang on the pilings. We would freeline a crab on a #2 gold hook. Those sheepshead just can't ignore a crab.
Here in the Florida Panhandle we use Fiddlers all the time throwing them on a small hook and no sinker and letting them drift under the docks. Almost always produces red fish and sheepshead it’s a great time on light tackle. I prefer them over mud crabs
I am down at North Topsail island all this week and can’t get nothing much to bite. Shrimp on the bottom Croakers and pin fish. Had one good Speckled trout on the dock I lost cause I didn’t use the net on. Been real slow and can’t put any kind of pattern together. Not giving up and have my Kayaks with me. Tight lines Brother.
I’m not a fisher I just like ur vids and it’s crazy how u are such a great fisher and u still take everything as a learning experience man awesome vids
Down here in Florida my preferred bait was fiddlers because they caught sheepshead, red and black drum and a host of other fish in the rocks and around bridge pilings
Elias I was looking at getting into kayak fishing and was wondering if you could recommend a good kayak in the $500 range. I’m a big guy (250lb) and would really appreciate your expert opinion. Thanks:)
So great to see how that Old Town with the Spot lock is working for you! I think the 14 to 18 sheep are ideal. I generally want to let go any that are over 22 inches because they are the old breeders, right?
Hi Elias ....thanks for all your great fishing videos! Nice to see a real good fisherman out there doing his thing ! Don’t know if you’re familiar with Skin so Soft ...it’s works really well regarding those pesky “ no see ums”.....
I miss living in Wilmington NC. 1 spot you can catch 5 different species not even moving to a new spot. Things are much different here in So Maryland fishing wise you have to bounce around and still maybe catch just 3 species
Love seeing you beat those docks up in that area. Have you heard anything about the flounder numbers or anything from the state? From this past season. Seemed the sizes where better
That’s a good way to spend some time on the water. Multiple species days are always a good time. I’m looking forward for some cool weather cause it’s still pretty warm here in Louisiana
I bought a whole bunch of those bottom sweeper jigs a few months ago, gonna take some tips from ya so I can hopefully snag some sheepshead in the future!
Not sure, might have been something there someone didn’t like and I had a complaint. I was a little “rough” around the edges when I got started filming
Man All I could think about was you getting stuck in the foot with those Fins. I’ve been stuck a few times in the hand while catching them on the boat and it can hurt like hell. Great job either way though. Tight lines
Each time I see you fish, I never see the current running very strong. Do you only fishing beginning/end of tide change? I tried your method but the tide was moving so hard I would have needed a brick to get the bait on target
Damn, this is amazing! Fiddler crabs eh? How you keep them alive for more than two days?? Also, why you said its not prefer bait when most fish like snapper, sea bass even delicious sheephead take them?
Wow. You pulled out a big piece of meat first. I caught really big fish using crab and shrimp. I'm getting refreshed after watching a fun and good video today. This is a video of vicarious satisfaction. Fighting! 👍👍
Elias... there you are bad mouthing mr flounder for eating your crabs and I'd love to catch Flounder. Haven't had a chance to get into those down here yet. I guess we got Flounder here in SWFL.
Dude releases more keepers in a day than I catch in a month. I might need to go hunt some fiddler 🦀.
We don't know how many days of fishing videos went into what was uploaded.
It’s the kayak bro moving to new docks constantly
Notice nobody else around him he's fishing primo areas by himself with no pressure then comes on to TH-cam and makes it look Uber easy
If you can't get any fiddler crab you can always get a soft plastic from savage gear that'll be realistic looking an get some proline attractant spray in creyfish frog an nightcrawler which is awesome to use. It helps attract fish.
Might just be me, that puffer fish catch was the most interesting thing I've seen all year.
Seems like fiddler crabs work pretty damn good.

I believe you can catch fish on bare hooks at this point. Always killing it. Love it man keep it up you’ll be at a million subs in no time!
When I was small we used to fish with these really small red hooks. Then we tried it with out bate we caught bucket full of small fish
A Spoon does just fine
A million?

Now I go to Galveston pier few times a year but i cant catch sheepshead.

They’re popular now, so may not be as common as they used to be. Also, Elias makes catching any fish look simple!

Sheep face are delicious !!!!!!!!!!
Elias, reminds me of yesterday's Crappie massacre. Stay safe from Pennsylvania. Prayers sent for Meg,Elias. God bless
I love how he’s like these reds are so abundant then dang a nice flounder I’m lucky to catch a damn sand trout or a croaker when i go to the gulf lmao
That was cool to see the puffer fish like that.
Love flounder. Salt, pepper, dusted with cornmeal and fried. Can only get them a couple months in the fall here.
Now this is fishing! Looks like he had a ball
Killer day of fishing!! I wish I could do that good in Charleston.
stuck up in boston with crappy weather, keep the vids coming lol
Chris, come down the cape, I fished in this crappy weather today and caught a keeper striper! 😊

Times like theses are priceless
Sweet set up with the kayak. Do yo have any videos were you go over the kayak set up? In particular the motor set up.
Enjoyed that. Good days fishing. Thanks for bringing us along. Closing in on 100K! Keep it up Elias.
Coolest looking quill back in my opinion
That's an excellent start
That's what I call a good day,no crowds,no waves,
Nikko makes a nice little 1" crab. They hold up really well and work well for me. Would like to see them tried out.
Super cool video. You make catching look easy. 😂🎣📹

You are exstraordinary fishing👍
Love the sound off the drag going off specially when albacore fishing. Great video
I’m not a fisher I just like ur vids and it’s crazy how u are such a great fisher and u still take everything as a learning experience man awesome vids
Those little guys play the fiddle? ...Awesome.
Good stuff thanks. If Fiddlers aren't your favorite sheep bait, what is?
Those Redfish fight so hard!
Down here in Florida my preferred bait was fiddlers because they caught sheepshead, red and black drum and a host of other fish in the rocks and around bridge pilings
NICE video. This was very informative
I remember there were loads of fiddler crabs in Gerritsen creek marsh off of Avenue U in Brooklyn
Dude you were killin it... nice yak !!
Elias I was looking at getting into kayak fishing and was wondering if you could recommend a good kayak in the $500 range. I’m a big guy (250lb) and would really appreciate your expert opinion. Thanks:)
Used pelican sit on top
What wakes at the top at around 3:00-3:-05 wen u pulled in it pulled out
Beautiful red fish that first one was beautiful
I love puffer fish, LOL
I did too before one of them bit little girls finger off.
The key to catching sheepshead is to set the hook just before the bite 🤪
Great Vid Man
Good job on fishing 🎣
Love jigging world rods
I am not sure if I've ever seen him keep a red? Great tasting fish.
Great way to catch flounder
What jighead weight you reccomend for surf and jetties?
Nice setup
Got that TH-cam drag goin lol you always kill it though.
I use vudu shrimp . Great lures !
The only problem with fiddlers is that pinfish can destroy them. Not as good as muds, but damn close. Ive caught big black drum on tiny little fids.

That’s right, they live as long as drum even.
Where was this at? The fish was great
@@darrencallahan1384 you honestly think he's going to answer that question
Gotta be tough catching quality flounder and not being able to take it home. Nice job out there
Great vid
Hi there great channel!
what brand of yak are you using? And what are its dimensions. I like the mount for the electric motor. Cheers
Do you notice any knocking or clicking noise while retrieving under a slight lid on your spin fisher? Just bought one and it is doing it after 1 use
Not on mine
Where is this located?
I laughed so hard at the pufferfish
Which rod and reel do you recommend me buying I'm usually going after trout and reds
Black drums look like west cost spot fin Crocker we also got a yellow fin Crocker
Awesome content!!!! Keep it Up!!!

A couple fish you caught two redfish and Sheepshead and a flounder I don't caught that all month
The black stripey fish look like they have plenty of meat on them. I'd be tempted to take one home for my supper... as long as they're not too boney!
Love seeing you beat those docks up in that area. Have you heard anything about the flounder numbers or anything from the state? From this past season. Seemed the sizes where better

The fiddlers will keep a couple of days in a bucket with a wet towel?
Yep
Wet sand works well
I bought a whole bunch of those bottom sweeper jigs a few months ago, gonna take some tips from ya so I can hopefully snag some sheepshead in the future!
Nice lure😨👍
What size jig are you using for the sheepshead?
That was awesome
Nice fishing brother.
Hey Elias, have you removed the salmon video when it jumps out of the net? Been looking for it but cant find it 👍
Not sure, might have been something there someone didn’t like and I had a complaint. I was a little “rough” around the edges when I got started filming
@@EliasVFishing that sucks, it was such a funny clip 🙂
Bro whats the brand and model on the kayak you are using, I like it
What’s that net you’re using? Seems like the perfect size
Frabill folding type
Nice! Especially that Puffer fish! Where were you fishing?
Great channel and I personally Love using fiddlers at the causeways for the sheepies!
Cool video. How well do you like that rod? You are throwing really light for its specs. I love the look of it. Its currently unavailable
awesome video!!
Nice video, parabéns 👏👏👏
Is the fiddler crab your preferred bait?
Mantap sekali sambarannya pakai umpan kepiting
Can you show us your kayak setup? I’m interested in the trolling motor specifically. Thanks
Awesome coverage. Which voodoo shrimp did you use?
So what fish do you keep and what is your preferred baits?

How long does that 100 amp hour Dakota lithium battery last??
What kayak is that?

How do you catch them? Kinda remember you showing a vid how to catch? The crabs....
Do you let the crab hit the bottom ? Or suspend it
Cool video
Coool myfrnds good job..
I just subscribed to your channel. Question, where do you fish at, like what state? I'm from Jersey.
Please put your kayak make & model in the description. Looks like a nice one.
This is like the fifth time he's been asked this question its obvious he's not interested in showing or describing his rig
Elias... there you are bad mouthing mr flounder for eating your crabs and I'd love to catch Flounder. Haven't had a chance to get into those down here yet. I guess we got Flounder here in SWFL.
