I have the exact whirlpool dryer you have. The belt that broke measured 100 inches. I bought a new belt it was 100" I put it all back together and the belt is too long. so long that there is absolutely no tension on the Idler pully spring. I think I need a 99 inch dryer belt. Maybe even a 98 inch belt. Do you remember the manufacturer who made the 98 inch belts you got? Thanks

If it is the belt that squeaking and not a poly bearing then it’s probably because the belt was not tight enough and was slipping and it has gotten glazed
