I listened to this song as part of a live concert recording by dave mason several years ago. Someone asked Dave what this song meant, Dave replied "You'll have to ask Jim!" Ok, Jim, what does this song mean?? By the way, I've always loved this song.

I grew up near Santa Monica and went to the Civic for many concerts. Those show were always fantastic. Great crowds and plenty of weed. No fights ever. You are correct Winwood is baked as well as the entire audience. One other thing. Ticket prices for these shows were usually $5.50, $6.50 and $7.50. No Ticketmaster or any other legal scalpers. Could always get first 10 rows in the center.
