Hey guys n girls (probably mostly guys here) iwas born 1998 so i am 25 years old, only listened to HipHop & RnB but my musical horizon was widened beyond my imagination through jazz rock especially (started with Traffic 2years ago and now i ended up as a Zappa fanatic) And many more the list of crazy good musicians that came out of the 60s 70s is unbelivable! This is great music history that lives on through us! PS: Love each other! you are just like me my friend! I am just like you ! Flawed and perfect
Amazing to find video of Traffic from 1973 with this quality including excellent sound quality. Thanks so much for sharing this great clip of a legandary band.
Being taped in Germany made for such a huge boost in quality. The German studios carefully preserved their TV stuff too, more so than the UK and US where videotapes tended to get erased and re-used.
Oh hell yeah, what a great song and performance! Thank you for posting this. Nice to see Jim back behind the drums, he and Roger and Rebop were a phenomenal percussion section. Too bad it didn't last.
From a big Traffic fan,Thanks for posting video. I think “Shoot-Out “ show cases the bands sound. Congas , Chris Woods flute & saxophone & Winwoods genius makes for an excellent band!🎼🎹💫
Traffic were great! My first concert in, I think, March '69 at the Fillmore East was the great 3 man Traffic, fabulous. I saw them every time they came around which wasn't often enough.
Is this the strat that Clapton gave him? It looks like an early (54-56) ash-bodied guitar with the round string retainer on the headstock. It must have a separate maple fingerboard since there is no walnut stripe on the back of the neck. Very unusual for such an early model which would normally have a 1-piece maple neck.
Yeah - it’s something Winwood seems insistent on, when the rest of the band are happy to rock out in 4/4. They watch him like a hawk, cos he does it every time.
This Kicks Ass Steve Winwood one of my all time favorites.
What a band, saw them in 1974,real music ,no gimmicks, not in it for the glory.
Don’t need gimmicks when you’re that good. The music says it all.
Saw them in 74or75, they were great
my first concert 2/8/1973 w/Free

Saw them at Reading 1974.😀
It could have just kept going and going. I couldn't stop listening.
I freakin love me some Traffic. You want to lay back and just jam with headphones? Put on any Traffic album and you will not be disappointed.
The groove is awesome, even today...
Great Band! Roger Hawkins and David Hood from the Muscle Shoals Studio in Alabama!
And Barry Beckett on Hammond
Everyone is important in this band, but Winwood and Wood are the nails anchoring it across the stage.
Bringing back this time!!!great band!!!!
Back when music was actual music. 🎶🖤🎶
Definitely one of the best things I’ve ever seen and heard. 👍
It’s April 11/ 2023
Traffic. Abstract and melodic jam, loved this band

Hell yeah!
Alô ronca ronca !
Missing my favorite lyrics:
Mickey Mouse was all put out, Donald Duck began to shout
Rumors that were put about, said they would get theirs next
My favorite lyrics of this song also!!
Roll Right Stone. Luv the lyrics. 😂
1:43 what.....
The first bars are missing. Any chance they will be made available too? Great performance of a great tune!
Judging by the clapper board at the start of this video, I’d say the film crew missed filming the first few seconds or so…
@@BaconTomatoCheese You had one job!
Steve's hot. 😂 On toast. Yummers
Wonder what year strat he’s playing

Swampers!
What the heck is that time signature... 17/4 or something?!
Yeah - it’s something Winwood seems insistent on, when the rest of the band are happy to rock out in 4/4. They watch him like a hawk, cos he does it every time.
SW plays guitar like a piano player
Ah yes, bending notes like a piano player.
:D
Is that clappy's tobaccoburst
Love the song, but three of the guitar chords sound too close to Smoke On The Water for my liking.
