Thanks for coming up and introducing yourself Chris, I always enjoy meeting people face to face. Wish we had more time to talk.🙂 Hope you walked away with a good haul.
Thanks for a quick look at the vendor room. I do not remember seeing Detail master there before. and Chris's Tri color cake is no joke ... His craftsmanship with models is surpassed only by his baking .. which is really saying a lot.
Thanks Kurt, missed meeting you face to face. I'm beginning to think we are the same person from another time dimension. Per sci fi movies "same matter cannot occupy the same space". Hopefully we will meet soon.🙂
Oh my God ! Cadillac Eldorado JO-HAN at 3:27 and the Cadillac hearse JO-HAN at 4:19.😍😍 This exhibition is incredible. Too bad the high prices, but it's the law of the market. Great acquisitions. Thank you for sharing.👍👍👍👍👍👍
@@davidchin350 I went with no expectations this year (I already have more then I will ever be able to build) so the few things I did get were unexpected and I am pleased. I also had two "Got aways" that I was a little peeded about but in the end I'm ok with it.
Great coverage, liked seeing all those old kits but man, they are bringing in some big prices now, interesting how pricing can change area to area right!
Looks like it was a great show and some nice kits you picked up. A tad far for me (and a different country) but I do enjoy going to shows so who knows, maybe one day I'll make it down there.
I have had good luck bundling more than one kit.. At a model show in South Waverly PA I was able to bundle the Johan 70 442 and AMT 74 Cuda for $45 which I thought was a great deal..
@@davidchin350 We tend to go that way quite often since both of our sons and families are down in NJ 👍 Some day, maybe we should connect when we come down that way 😎
Sorry i missed the gathering this year. Chris makes great cookies. Wish we had more a chance to talk. That knight rider kit is the same one i had on display at the show. It needs a lot of work to come out nice, i have the whole build on my channel. I have to pick up that persuit kit.
Awesome show and video David! I had a feeling you were going to grab that 2021 Dodge Charger Pursuit car haha! I built the 1984 version of the Hurst Olds, I have another in my stash to build the 1983 Hurst!
Yep that happened too often so this time I'm experiencing it first hand. Like taping a concert and end up watching it through your camera phone rather than "live".😯
BTW I recently did the 71 Demon and 73 Cougar.. The Demon was a pleasure to build and the Cougar a bit of a challenge but both came out rather well I think..
@@TI4438 if my memory serves me correctly, some snap kit Johans were starting at $60 but the highly desirable like the Eldorado was about 200ish. The Rebel Machine is like 300ish. They wanted almost 100 for a glue bomb Rebel that possibly was missing a few pieces. If you had the cash and you had to have those Johan kits but it meant 1 Johan or several average kits.
I did! A couple of the new 1971 Dodge Demon kits from a modeling buddy. A hard to find 1967 Nickey Camaro from another modeling friends. A Model Woody/Pickup for a 3rd modeling friend, a 1967 Corvette Convertible, and lastly, a 1957 Chevy Pro Mod to replace one destroyed many years ago.
Fun time Larry and even more fun hanging with fellow modelers. Some modern and low demand older kits were as low as $15. By end of day some AMT NASCAR kits were reduced to $8 still factory sealed.
@@jasonrothgeb6071hey Jason, I just realized after watching my own video that the round wooden token looks like the $5 discount for purchases. I'm still glad I didn't use it since it's nice to keep it as a souvenir 😊
Great Recap David ! Had a great time hanging out with you

Nice David sounds like a great time was had I seen a cool bear bait chevette and few others.

A '66 Chrysler 300 might tempt me, but not for triple digits.
