I definitely think you shouldn’t just have an iPad bc of the software limitations. If you’re going to get one you should get a laptop. Tablets are great but laptops can just do more but it also depends on what you need them for
I agree and disagree, because ever though the Laptops are great and have a lot of cool features, the iPad can be used for more that just school, it can be used for gaming, talking photos, drawing and many more! As for the laptops, it is very limited and you don’t get half of the different apps the iPad offers.

@@inacruz5709 i’d say if you study programming like me in college and you can only get one, def get a laptop. Of course it’s the other way around for like med school or law school. In high school ipad is better too

@@oliwaaa7982 yeah definitely, I have both a pc and an ipad and i take notes with my ipad and program with the pc, you’ll only have to take notes and write stuff so an ipad is all you need

I feel like this is really, really a personal preference decision and it really depends on what you use either device for.
i just recently bought the 12.9 ipad for school and i also have a macbook air that i got a year ago that has helped a lot being in college requires me to use it for every class and i bought the ipad for digital note taking so hopefully it works like i want it too. your videos have been very helpful

Hello. Can your iPad do most of the things your MacBook does ?? And is it comfortable typing with a Bluetooth keyboard and looking at the smaller screen ?
I mean. Will I get a more fun experience in a iPad Air 5 compared to a good looking windows laptop ? Functionality and for ease of use (for excel ,and working on my company's website portal for data entry)?

the MacBook Air M1 doesn’t have a fan, so it isn’t loud! Alsoooo, it doesn’t really get hot + it’s result lightweight !! I’ve been using it with my iPad for 3 weeks now, and can confidently say that they both work SO PERFECTLY together!!
if you can afford it, go for a MacBook Air M1 + an iPad with an Apple Pencil or a stylus :)

Hello. Is typing experience a good experience or comfortable experience on iPad Air (with Bluetooth keyboard) and looking at the smaller screen Or is it alot better on the MacBook ? Will I be able to access and do data entry on my company's website on iPad? I have heard the browser now opens in web view .

@@maefortea3982 IPad Air 5 is a lovely device . Although MacBook and laptops are different . It's upto you if u could just get by using iPad only . But using iPad is alot similar to using smartphone. It's kinda small if used with a keyboard for laptop typing experience. Typing is kinda cramped and app options and menu bar is kinda less.
I think both is the best, currently have a MBP but also plan to get an iPad soon. I’m studying both computer science and engineering and after using the MacBook for the past 6 months I can see it’s limitations. Because I’m studying computer science a lot there is a lot of life coding and lectures usually share there screen. since I take notes at the same time as watching the lecture split screening an entire desktop to the size of a phone screen is a little too small to read so I can definitely see sidecar to be a useful feature.
Also with the engineering side there are some maths and content based subjects where you can’t type stuff out unlike comp sci. I struggled to find a balance between a paper workflow and digital workflow. I also find that if stuff is on paper, I probably never look over it again. So I think an iPad would help with that

If I had to choose...I'd choose a computer.

The battery life is superb, the landscape camera is a winner for me, the shape is suitable for my carrying case. As part of my purchase, I threw in a case from ESR, and a Logitech Crayon to compliment my purchase. So far so good on my iPad. The Logitech Crayon works perfectly with it as well.

An iPad will never be a full computer for most people, apple showed in wwdc 2021 that they want you to buy a Mac and an iPad with universal control.

My opinion is it depends on major . Like some need laptops to program etc so priority is to get a laptop maybe then an iPad . But other majors ( if you don’t program ) the iPad is enough it was docs,slides word etc and note taking abilities

I have both an iPad and a computer. An iPad will not be a suitable replacement for an actual computer, it is best to have both. But if you really can only get one then invest in a computer. I do use my iPad for things but I stopped using it as much once I was able to get a laptop.
I myself use a Android Tablet for taking notes and maybe watching some YT/Disney Plus here and there. It´s a cheap one i bought for 160 Euro. Also i use my Computer at Home (with Win10) for writing longer texts or documents, gaming, coding and pretty much everything else.
i have the macbook air m1 that I bought a yr ago but I want to completely stop taking notes on my computer because its takes me a lot longer and the paper notes are just messy so I've decided to get an iPad, I'm getting the 9th gen with 256gb and I'm really excited because not only will my notes hopefully improve ill also get to play genshin impact on it instead of my phone

The option to be most productive is to buy a GRAPHICS TABLET (60 $ or 50 €) and a Laptop.
+ Powerful shortcuts and programmes
+ better OS
+ handwriting notes + shortcuts at the same time => taking notes faster than on an Ipad.
+ efficient typing
+ ~ 600 $ for a decent office setup (including pen, mouse, decent laptop).

I run a locksmith business with my 2018 6th Gen iPad and it does everything from inventory to invoicing. I use it for my daily living and have found products that help compliment the use. I have a card reader that allows me to use a flash drive, so cards, compact flash cards and even external herd drives so I dont have to take up a lot of space on the iPad itself…after all, it is only 32 gig… I have been able to find 3rd party alternative pencils from JamJake and a flip screen with keyboard from TypeCase and also a 2 way use Bluetooth/wireless mouse for it… I use it everyday. I am not a content creator so this iPad has completely replaced my computer…takes up less space and is way faster to turn on and start…lol

Writing this from my 12.9 ipad pro with white magic keyboard and tbh is more than enough, and having 16gb ram you never know what apple is hiding for us
Getting the 16gb of ram for a iPad is far too close to a computer whilst not actually been able to run full software. I don’t think the likes of Final Cut Pro or Final Fantasy XIV is about to be made iPad compatible.

My conclusion : No, iPad isn't a computer...
You can get laptops where you can hand write on the screen! I have the Asus Flip and you can flip the screen back and hand write with a stylus. But it is a lot heavier than a tablet. I find it’s too good to replace with my iPad or Samsung galaxy tab S7+
