PSA for anyone doing this (i have the same case) drilling holes instantly voids your warranty and if you are like me and your case lid warps for no apparent reason they will not replace it. nothing against roam just thought id give the heads up I wish i had
Nice setup, brother. Wish ROAM made a 44-46" wide 8" high storage box. It would fill the space I need across the front OR back of my Sherpa Crestone. I also prefer a lower profile roof rack storage system
Hey ROAM.... WHEELS!!!!! I have this case as well. when fully loaded you have to drag it. The handles are lame also. I had to rig casters on one end to move it alone. I like the case but love using empty gun cases, The roll and have a useful handle.
I just ordered mine from Roam on their BF sale. I also want to mount it this way so as not to block my sunroof any more than it already is. Did you have to use any kind of spacers between the case and the rack to have it sit on top of the side rails? I have the Bravo. Also, do you think it's a good idea to store recovery gear on the roof where they would be hard to reach when you need them especially if you are already at a precarious angle?
@@Runnin4Tacos Lol, no doubt - but on your truck, with such large tires and no tailgate, do you carry one with you on trips? Underneath with some rearranging?
I'm really interested as to how you got that large skycamp mounted to the truck without binding the bed rack to the cab rack. are you not running into rubbing issues on the cab rack? I really want to get an iKamper RTT, and have convinced myself i could only get a mini for my Taco, but you seem to have pulled it off!
Do you have any rattle from the cvt tent overlapping the cab rack? I have prinsu racks(cap rack, cab rack) and sent the cvt route so I could still fit in the garage. Only problem is I’ve been trying to cut out rattling ever since. I do want to use the prinsu mounting feet as it would make it so I couldn’t garage my truck
Sherpa equipment co. But depending on your rack may need some modification. I’m going to make my own based off their design to mount to front runner. Or “the set” from Deny locks, very cool but pricey.
Yeah but idk how solid it would be on trails. It's two straight piece of metal that is holding 50+lbs of weight. I think it'll move back and forth too much. Mine lives on the roof so I don't mind. Even when I had the removable Pelican Cargo, it never came off

Never. Too heavy and makes the truck longer than it already is. Also, the latch systems available kinda sucks besides the Expedition One latch system
