Epic video Justin, and actually like the longer videos because they tell a better story. Like you rocking the old school Realtree camo, man it's been years since I've seen any bowhunter wearing that camo. Back in the 80's when I first started bowhunting that was about the best there was and it's still a great camo pattern when hunting out of big oak trees. Awesome shot on that buck! Congratulations you earned it. You just earned a new subscriber brother, keep up the good work, your videos are great!
Well I appreciate that man… I work hard to get some good content to watch… thank you for the sub, it helps me more than you know .. 🙏🏻 Good luck this season
Im a Kentuckian as well. Grew up hunting the Daniel Boone National Forest locally, my only complaint is that KDFWR makes no effort to keep track of the number of deer in some counties. I live in a county thats been zone 4 since ive been old enough to hunt. In the early 90s it was rare to see a doe, now they are everywhere, getting hit on the highways and on I75 year-round. As a Trooper I cant tell u how many collisions Ive worked both during rut and non rut times. Would like to go back out west to Peabody coal WMA and bowhunt again. Thanks for sharing
I agree with you man, our state needs to step it up on regulations and get on board with some of these Midwest states… Thank you for your service and appreciate you following ✊🏻
That second buck is very unique. Imagine his antlers removed, looks more like a cow, hes a fatty. (the white/ brown buck bristled up in the snow covered cut field )
Yes Sir I love my saddle… That’s a good idea.. I try to keep all my videos on my channel of hunts/ kills only but I may throw in a review on my next hunt this season… but if your curious what I’m running it’s the TX5 saddle system… Thanks for following David 👍🏻
Wow again. The content is unreal. Thanks for taking time to film this and putting it together. I know it ain't easy. Great shot too! What broadhead are you shooting?
not what the video stated. Day 1 then Day 2 didn't mention anything about years. Just need to be careful on these videos many others have been prosecuted for these types of things @@hunts80
@@MobileHunter-w8k Clearly no one asked for your smart-ass comment. Attention to detail is here, it however is not in the video. Not 1 time does it say in the video that these kills were in 2 different states or 2 different years, so keep your comments to yourself.
I killed my buck in Miami county last year on that same day about 6 pm. I had just got done texting one of my buddies about how hot it was up in the tree. A couple of hours later I had a buck on the ground.
Really ???! Smh 😆… I’m not sure man, I do know you can’t use screw in steps… but if cutting a half inch limb is the worst thing I’ve done I’m doing alright.. thanks for watching
No, the first buck was from a different season. I just mentioned scouting the same area where I killed him so I figured I would show the story on him. Thanks for watching.
I know exactly where your at lol That was a well known deer in that area.I had him on camera both years on a private farm beside that WMA. A buddy of mine wounded him the same year you missed him. He actually scored more that year but he lost his G4's the next year because of my buddies errant shot. Said the shot was in the back Ham. Curious of the date you killed him and if you don’t mind telling what end of the WMA was you on? I had him on camera halloween weekend so I’m curious how far he traveled. Congrats on killing him, that was a smart SOB... Dodged a lot of Hunters...
I never put a tape measure on it and honestly could care less what it scored. All I know just from looking at it that I can tell you It’s a gross booner. It’s always been a dream of mine to kill a deer like that on Public land with my bow. Thanks for watching.
@@Hogmister11 There is no such thing as a "gross booner". A Booner is a deer that qualifies for the Boone and Crocket record book. You could claim that the deer has a 170" net rack, but calling it a"booner "is not only misleading, but an outright load of BS in the title of this video as click bait. Its incredibly unethical to make false claims like that that are totally bogus. I'm guessing that if you actually got that deer measured, you'd be shocked to find out that it is not even close to 170 net anyway. I'd estimate it at under 150. Even the gross score is nowhere near 170. Still a very nice deer that most hunters would be very proud of, but not nearly a Booner as claimed.
Awsome I don't care if ya make a perfect shot. If you can fire another meat missel animal deserves quick death. Congratulations buck of a lifetime brother 👏
It would have been poetic justice if you had of lost the opportunity of a life time shot on a big buck because you thought leaving your phone on was more important than turning it off when you hunt????????
Just when I think I have seen all the good deer hunting videos on the internet I stumbled upon this gem. A like and a subscribe; good stuff!
I appreciate the sub brotha 🙏🏻
Watched the whole thing, great stuff there! Love Kentucky public land hardwoods!
That’s was actually Ohio man… I appreciate you watching brotha 🙏🏻

Thanks brotha ✊🏻

Love the video! I’m fourty four and have always hunted public land in Harlan Ky huge, thick woods!!!

Fantastic deer and video! Thanks for sharing. What are you using to make the thrashing sounds? Something on the ground and tethered to your tree?
Thanks man I’m using just a stick tied to the end of my rope
I like you’re videos man. Keep it up. I’m a Kentucky boy my self born and raised. Hunt public land and private up here in northern part.

I appreciate that man.. I’m shooting grim reaper whitetail specials
I'm a bit confused on how you legally killed 2 bucks in the state of KY in the same season.
I'm pretty sure that was 2 different hunts and years
not what the video stated. Day 1 then Day 2 didn't mention anything about years. Just need to be careful on these videos many others have been prosecuted for these types of things

That was in Ohio two separate years.
Need to pay attention to detail better… clearly not the same year

I don't understand why you would put your camera so low in your setup? Is there a reason?
With that particular tree and position I had to keep it low to shoot over it ..self filming is difficult…

Heck yeah congrats on him… seems like I always have good hunts in the heat that time of year. Thanks for watching
Just out of curiosity but what poundage is your bow set @??? In this Hunt???
Also GREAT Video BTW!!!! I’m definitely Subscribing!!!
@tylerelkins9619 I appreciate the sub man-I’ve got more coming. My bow is set on 75 pounds. Thanks for watching.
You can cut branches on Ky public?
Really ???! Smh 😆… I’m not sure man, I do know you can’t use screw in steps… but if cutting a half inch limb is the worst thing I’ve done I’m doing alright.. thanks for watching
Did you draw 2 buck tags in ohio?
No, the first buck was from a different season. I just mentioned scouting the same area where I killed him so I figured I would show the story on him. Thanks for watching.
What was their official scores?
Didn’t get em officially scored
Great hunt hogan
Thanks Jerg

MIRACLE WHIP GROSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
It’s good stuff … lol
No way that first buck killed is even close to a 170 net score.
Absolutely that deer can make 170, the mass and width. Definitely a 170 inch stud.
@ryanfarmer5155 no way. Let's see the official score sheet signed by a BC measurer. I'd estimate less than 150 net.

The Xtra Mayo x2 was key

Sorry should watched another 15 seconds instead of pausing to ask were you hit him cause ya told after I push resume 😂
Awsome I don't care if ya make a perfect shot. If you can fire another meat missel animal deserves quick death. Congratulations buck of a lifetime brother 👏
Thanks man
Nice video… but Why call it a booner when it clearly is not? Click bait?
Not click bait the first buck is clearly a gross booner… thanks for watching
By the look of that doe and how she was standing afterwards I'm going to say wrong hole.
🤣
It would have been poetic justice if you had of lost the opportunity of a life time shot on a big buck because you thought leaving your phone on was more important than turning it off when you hunt????????
Huh ?
Plays with the camera way to much to not even really be able to see the deer when the shot is taken
Self filming is tough
You’re not too fussy about where you shoot them are you? Guts, etc. Not very ethical
You must not bowhunt much … The real ones know that it’s just part of it … thanks for watching
When was this recorded?
Ummmm where is a booner
First buck in video
19:21 We know how you feel son!
