Always good to see the old VN Commodore about, don't see that many anymore. And this one looking like a proper sleeper, no other unnecessary visual mods on it, keeping looking nice & simple with a good old LS1 up front, sounding good there too. Last time i was in a VN was 12 or so years ago up here in victoria when i was on holiday a few years before i moved here, aunt & uncle had one & let it go after it'd put a bit almost 400k on the clock, with it's second engine that had somewhere over 100k on that motor. Basic silver executive sedan, usual 3.8 & 4 speed, with a calais grille & cheapo hubcaps on it, didn't think much of it back then. But now, glad i remember it still & had done a skid in their driveway in it too once as me & my uncle had gotten back to his place. @@MindieJ if you happy with power after doing diff gears could look into upgrading stereo, keeping it subtle so it doesnt look like a p player just got his first tax return.
@@marktilden1129 yeh happy with the power for now I want to race it as is forst, nah no stereos for me never been into that stuff
Stealth pro ratchet shifter, Diff gears, shift kit, trans cooler lines, roof lining, grey gutter trims and qaurter window trims, sneaky diff dump exhaust but leave the tailpipe as a dummy and then possibly a mid rise intake stay under bonnet and retune make those shift pressures better and neatin up any messy tune gremlins thats it wasnt keen on the grey garnish and grill but hey its your car might look better when its all the same keep up the good work man.
This VN keeps looking better and better every time
Thanks Matt 😄
Glad you put the original Grill on. Never been a fan of the letterbox grills everyone put on these cars.
You and me both!
@@MindieJ Showing my age. But back in 97 I picked up a 1990 S pack 3.8 ltr 5sp,from Salters of Moorooka Bris.(the golden mile we used to call it back then) traded in a 4 door SL Torana 3.3ltr trimatic can you believe to get it. AGC Finance.LOL.Young and stupid. Drove that thing over here to WA back in 1998. Anyway to cut a long story short. A young bloke parked beside me in the exact same car the other day with an LS1 in it. Really nice example. I allways loved the Red and Grey pin stripe. Probably the closest you could get to t h e VNSS of the time disregarding the Berlinas a and Calais of the time. But Very hard to find these days. Like your attention to detail and keeping them as stock as you can. I'm a firm believer in seeing more rubber under the the guards from this era.
Cheers
Definitely a High Rise intake on that thing💯
yuck, want it to look inconspicuous
The bumpers look good as is, otherwise you'd have too much grey. Next thing to fix is the roof lining. Not much more to do with the car after that except the shift kit and maybe get her tuned?
If you do end up getting new grey bars, I’d be interested in buying your current black bars.
Love your your thanks mate
thanks Jake no worries ill keep you in mind
Diff gears 100% for the next mod.
I have 3.7s in my manual 6.0 VN and they are spot on 👌🏻
yeh i think 3:9's with the auto will be perfect
