It looks like there is a lot of replayable content there within each "day" of the campaign. My concern is more about how repetitive the game will be over the course of the campaign.
I do miss the days when crowd-funding felt more akin to the prospect of helping make someone's dream game into reality, whereas many times now it's just feels like a pre-order service...

I don't think I'll be backing any of the current games but I'm definitely interested in Earthborne, & Storm Raiders (though I think I'd like that game even more if it included combat) and I'm interested in playing Cryptic Nature. I totally want to late-back Beast & the expansions but I realistically have no one to play it with. May just admire from afar. Have a great vacay w/ the family and at the game convention.

The system itself just doesn't sit right with me and I feel like it will only be a matter of time before we begin see preorder deposits for $2 and $5. Earthborne Rangers seems really interesting, but it is on the pricey side. I'm telling myself I have plenty of other campaign games to get to skip out on this one. Alex, obviously you run a board game channel but there is a card video game "puzzle" that is very goal oriented just the way you like them. SLAY THE SPIRE available on mobile and PC. It's like an interactive card game. Simple to learn and extremely hard to master, especially if you are attempting to complete achievements. People have easily racked up hundreds of hours of play (quite a few with thousands of hours). Say goodbye to Sunshine and your family if you go down this extremely well regarded game. You can thank / blame me later 😅
Storm Raiders has so much going for it: Love the theme, love the designer, like the publisher, but the gameplay is just lacking something. It just doesn't make me want to play it. It's missing the interaction and fun.
Agree with this - looks like a game I would love but I've watched a couple of playthroughs and they've left me feeling less excited for it than I thought I would be.
While I applaud Earthborne Rangers for trying to be sustainable... I am buying it for the game not the sustainability. In fact, I don't want it to naturally degrade. The first thing I would do when receiving it is put card condoms on everything which is definitely not Earth friendly. But, also means I don't have to buy multiple copies to replace damaged components so... I guess that is Earth friendly?
It is a good game, but a strong warning about the first printing - the rulebook needs a complete overhaul, as it lacks some important rules and clarifications. You will be much better served by watching a playthrough on Earthborne Games' channel with two newbies that has the two designers explaining the rules and giving advice. Aside from that, the games builds upon the best mechanics of Arkham Horror, with a completely new and original setting. It is not a simple game, as there are a plenty of card synergies out there, so I welcome more content. The price tag is indeed high, but it is the price we are paying for a more environmentally friendly production, as well as for a small company trying to break through. If you want economies of scale, you need to go for some of the big publishers, unfortunately.
I think maybe your kids might like Tokyo Highway, at least every kid I've ever played with really enjoyed it. And Eve seems strange, I have no interest in a grand space 4x thats basically a race game.
