- A lot of people said they wanted this but sadly this is the DBZ Game We Never Got. Dragonball Z Raging blast 1 and 2 were a ton of fun back in the day which is exactly why today we are trying out the game with new dragonball stuff added in the modern age Like ultra instinct goku and Super saiyan blue vegeta! Its basically Dragonball Raging blast 3!

Mods have and will save all games that had the unfortunate fate of never being updated and the passion people still have for games like this shows it.

And the online service is still up to this day
Raging blast 2 had an insane roster of characters if they did that with raging blast 3 and included gt, super an some more of the movie characters with the special coop ultimate attacks an transformations, it would be a top tier game with countless hours of replayability

I used to spend entire afternoons just FOLDING my friends in this game, needless to say I got quite confident in my skills. I decided to try online, only to get absolutely fucking cooked time and time again by a Perfect Cell player. It was the first game to truly show me just how tall some skill ceilings get.

Absolutely happens to everyone, and to me but in my case me and the other dude were playing SS2 Goku.
I remember being so confident in my skills playing Teen Gohan that I went Online and got murdered by a Kid Buu in a 5v5. I was doing fine against his Cell and Yamcha and they were still pretty good. I had 3 and Half fighters and Teen Gohan was carrying, then Kid Buu came out and he murdered most of my team down to Majin Vegeta. After a admittably losing battle I tried to use Final Explosion to kill him, and he lived with one HP and candy beamed me. Funnily enough, I ended up becoming discord friends with the guy later after I unknowingly ran into him in FighterZ and got my revenge. Ironically enough I want another Raging Blast Game just so I can rematch this man.
I versed cooler and he'd literally hit me throw me into the air and ultimate me. He spammed it like 47 times
I was cracked in this game. Little 12 year old me was probably at his sweatiest playing this game and went online and won majority of my ranked battles. It was a great time. If they ever decide to release a 3rd installment I will go all in

Easily the best DBZ game to date. If they added this fight mechanics to any of the new consoles, and possibly re-add in a story mode, it would the most replayable game in DBZ.
Raging Blast has some of the best models for characters imo. They just look so good

I like the dynamic that arises when Doto and Nano collab because it just devolves into Doto bullying/negging Nano for like, 12+ minutes.
The music in the final match really sent waves of nostalgia back 😭 thank you guys for playing this

In this game after entering rage mode, the moment you max your blue energy bar and you have to press L1 i think, you can spam the teleport to move around like in Dragon ball xenoverse 2 and it's really cool

Raging blast 2 is definetly my favourite DBZ game I loved the customization for the abilities and all the ways you could make different forms and characters do different things.

this game was fucking incredible just because of the sheer variety in the roster, and the fact that u had to actually play the game to get the fighters instead of paying for them like today.
Kind of an unfair comparison. Games back then would have a bunch of sequels, so you were basically buying the same game with more characters among other things(for example, BT3 wouldnt have all those characters if there wasnt BT1 & BT2, RB2 wouldnt have its cast without RB1 first existing). Nowadays they make one game and just support it for a couple of years.
@@foyo5497 nah nah you were getting a full game for 60 bucks not just a little roster upgrade new story mode new what ifs new tournament mode new challanges new mechanics graphical upgrades you were getting a new fucking game now you get a character for 10 bucks if you are lucky see your dlc get new story and extra modes for it to be worth a damn
@@cin2110 Any game that reuses assets from the previous game, whether its upgraded graphically and/or with more content or not, is not a brand new full game. I was in my 20s when the BT series came out, had all three but I was used to that buy a new game for the expansion style. Go back even further and look at something like the three Street Fighter 2 games on SNES which were $70 a piece. SF4 and SFV DLC content is much cheaper by comparison. Another thing that games do nowadays is they keep all the games on the same SKU. So that means, when you play online, everyone is playing the same version, so the ppl who didnt buy the next version or didnt upgrade dont get locked out like in the past(Even though online on PS2 was pretty much non-existent). Keeps the community more unified. And even better if there is crossplay.
I prefer the upgrade style. I love the single player content, but with any arena style head to head fighting game or traditional fighting game, I play more with other ppl than I do the single player content anyway. Of course, once finished with the content that is.
I like the attention to details with ssj blue goku his outfit turns from bright orange to reddis-orange
I really never got the chance to play raging blast 2 so seeing mods on a 2010 game is pretty cool

Raging Blast 2 was fun but going back and replaying it, it just feels like something is stil missing
