While I’ve never played it, Ultimate Tenkaichi is one of my favorite looking DB games visually, in my personal opinion of course. I think the camera angles along with the looks of characters and beams are brutally beautiful.
I really like the visuals of this game too, I think it was emulating more of akira toriyama's digital art work more then the cell shade of the anime which makes it looks very unique
You’re giving this game too much credit. The game reuses most of its animations and models from Raging Blast 2 (and they look much, much worse than they did in that game). What little credit there is to give this isn’t unique to it.
@@charlieharrington9555 it is unique cause we don't see them use this art style ever anymore, all the other games have cell shading similar to the anime while this is the only ones that uses toriyama's digital painting as reference
@@conceptofartz276 I guess your right, but I again I feel as if this artistic decision was much better executed in the Raging Blast games, with gorgeous beams and auras and camera angles and, most importantly, NO GREEN SUPER SAIYANS.
The giant fights were amazing. I believe this was the first db create-a-character game. I wouldn’t consider this game to be “the worst dbz game ever made.”
I think the reason why Ultimate Tenkaichi is so disliked is that it had simplistic gameplay, but I have to be brutally honest, when this game was made, the core intent wasn't really to focus on the gameplay itself, but more so on the cinematic feel. You can clearly see how much effort they put into visuals, effects, and animations. You can probably see it as them testing the waters with this game, and considering how most people did not like it, it's probably the reason why they turned away from this style of gameplay for a good reason. Then there is also the argument that they did take one part of positive feedback which was Hero mode, and they incorporated that part into what would become Xenoverse.
Wow! The time this was out I guess I was out of DBZ then. I started to work with my parents and my dad paid me finally (before that he added it to my list of responsibilities. As I was looking I had not known there were any DBZ games. My dad remembered the look on my face and laughs about it with me sometimes. I HAD TO have it!

This would honestly make a pretty good phone game.
I said the same thing
"You see how you can't block, evade, or do anything? The people of earth have something to say about that" my new favorite doto line
The one thing I love about Ultimate Tenkaichi is the destruction around the map
It really feels like you're throw these people through mountains
I remember I preordered this without basically any knowledge of the game thinking it'd be a continuation of the "budokai tenkaichi" series that featured a create your own saiyan feature for the first time ever and was so pissed off by this joke of a game
I think the game looks like shit. Horrible models and green super saiyans
10:52 this man put on my favorite Dokkan OST and i'm liking this video even more
What's the name of it, it sounds sick dude.

The giant fights were amazing. I believe this was the first db create-a-character game. I wouldn’t consider this game to be “the worst dbz game ever made.”
Actually the first create a character in a dragon ball game is dragon ball online I believe
you are right, this is the worst dbz movie ever
@@superbeta1716 you're forgetting Evolution exist
The giant fights are just qtes
@@Leonidas1210vc for some people like me it does not exist, it just myth
I honestly enjoyed this game when i first played it and had fun playing it
Just wished there were more characters and customization options
The game had some of the best visuals of any dbz tho it was raw asf
One of my childhood favorites! I remember having so much fun with this game as a kid!
No you’re tripping!! This was the sh*t for me, I loved the graphics it felt good to break your controller to button mash against great ape Vegeta!
Damn that mission was hard, I could never mash fast enough
@@MrSpeltinator I had to ask my dad to beat that part back then lol
That is the definition of Rose Tinted nostalgia.
@@jl5130 same lol
Faxxx
I absolutely loved this game
The damage that the attacks do and how it destroys the environment was sick
Wow! The time this was out I guess I was out of DBZ then. I started to work with my parents and my dad paid me finally (before that he added it to my list of responsibilities. Then he realized how unfair that is especially during a school day/night).
He took me to Walmart and said “don’t spend it all at once” which I wanted to do because it was more than $100. As I was looking I had not known there were any DBZ games. My dad remembered the look on my face and laughs about it with me sometimes.
I HAD TO have it!
The game has its flaws, but it's a lot of fun to play with a friend just for the fun of it. Nice video Doto, as always!
That freaking Endless Possibilities OST was so perfect 🤧
Drive him into the Gaia with a ki blast🤣!
Loved the level of destruction in this game, kinda sad that later games didn't have as much
The game that had that kind of destruction was fighterz. But fighterz does everything great compared to this.
I remember this being the only thing I wanted for Christmas in 2011 and it was the biggest disappointment in my entire life. This disappointment still hasn’t been topped
LMAO bruh me and my bro grew up playing budokai ten and we hadn’t touched it in years my bro got old enough to get a job and came home with this game . Boy the hype was insane. And you can imagine the incredible disappointment we felt at least I did when it was the lamest shit I’ve ever experienced
After playing Budokai 3 and Tenkaichi 3 on ps2, I was super hyped for this when I finally got a ps3, only to find cutscenes labeled as "combat"
Man, I really want someone to play Raging Blast 2. You could do sick combos and team moves and it had customization. Loved that game
The gameplay of Raging Blast 1 and 2 is so good, But im not really a fan of how the story mode of Raging Blast 2 works
I kind of like the luck based combat idea, it makes it feel more like a manga panel because you don’t expect it. But I just like how they made it the main thing.
P
So in the beginning when he said this is the worst DBZ game I was laughing thinking about how that can’t be true with DBZ sagas and UB22 in mind. After seeing this I completely agree this isn’t just a bad DBZ game this is a bad game. Glad I missed this one
9:51 the fade😭
The boss fights in this game were lit tho
Gotta admit the game has some sick ki blast and ultimate moves, you can tell they put work in it. Not to mention the boss battles and story mode were pretty cool
This game still holds a special place in my heart for being the first DBZ game with CAC
Edit: Oh he literally just said that in the video as I pressed post.
The 'Rock Paper Scissor' part is actually canon. Vegeta & Goku do it all the time!!!!
5:50 best moment of the video 😂😂
That summarize well how is the crappy gameplay of this game xd
These types of videos are so fun to watch keep doing this please
Damn this really is just "guess for your character," the game.
If it wasn’t for the guessing mechanic to fight it would be a great game
Why did I scream with yall during the beam struggle?? 🤣🤣🤣 It got so emotional! 😫
I remember playing this for like… 10 minutes and then was like “im done”
He should have listened to desbug's golden rule "always go to the right"
I remember spotting some guys playing this game in a common area when I was in college. I was like "Is this game really nothing but rock paper scissors, cutscenes, and QTEs? No it's gotta be more than that..."
You just absolutely proved me wrong and I loved it. I would love to see more of this entertaining garbage from you!
it's predict the move the game
For everything the game did wrong, it had so many cool and good ideas. Character Creation, custom story mode, you can change your fighting styles, the aura you have normally and as a super sayian. Like, this game had me hyped as shit. The 50/50 combat kills it though, it hurts
Bro the clashes in this game had u sweating , gettin up out your seat , Me and my bro yelling like we Clashing ki blast in real life 😂😂
I loved this game it played a big role in my childhood
Dude, that guessing and counter mechanics look really fun
It can be
"Worst DBZ game ever made." Doto be spitting facts over here
…Dragonball Kinect👀
Taiketsu?
Battle of Z?
@@wyvurn11977 you can have some fun with battle of z this game stays the same from beginning to end
It was fun to me ,-;
I loved how flashy and cinematic this game was, but I hated the rock paper scissors mechanics. To think this game was part of me growing up and at the same time considered part of the Raging Blast series in Japan was confusing yet a bit cool.
i loved playing online when this game was new, getting inside peoples head and beating them at rock paper scissors was the best dbz fun i had in a long time.
LMAOOO Doto’s commentary is just legendary 🤣
>The worst one
Can't wait for you to play the Kinect DBZ game. A claim this bold REQUIRES you to play it at least once.
It's the same game, without the guessing.
I felt humiliated playing that game. The extreme awkward movements and how fast it tired me out lmao just pain.
@@skytentheknight3294 Ahh. I loved it. I exercised daily to begin with so the movements didn’t bother me. I will only fault the kinect itself, if the sensors were better then it would’ve been 10/10 for me. That’s what frustrated me most. I did a whole series of the game on my channel.
Literally the same game.
Ultimate Tenkaichi still has the best soundtrack tho.
Love your content 💚
Best Soundtrack out of all the other DBZ games bro
I actually really enjoyed that the intro theme to Budokai 2 starts playing at: 4:22
so THIS was the pinnacle of the age of QTE gaming, either this or spider-man: web of shadows lol
wow, this is actually one of my favorite DBZ games. But i probably loved it so much bc i just enjoyed it for what it was and i had a lot of fun doing so, and i played the hell out of it. From playing the story mode it got me good at mashing buttons really fast lol.
I started playing it last year and got really into it.
Definitely the worst dbz game ever released

I still remember how kaggy made 7000 different playthroughs/series of this game lmao

Personally I loved this game. Especially the story mode. I always find myself coming back to it and I really enjoy the osts. Hero mode is great to.
Sadly it's too unfair
Some QTE's react a whole second after you pressed the buttons getting you killed many times
I always had the hardest time with andriod 19 in hero mode. I could never beat him. No matter how hard i trained
