Tractor overheating. Clogged dirty radiator. Low coolant level

  • Even though I regularly check the fluid levels and keep up with the maintenance schedule for my Kioti RX 7320 tractor, it still overheated. When I checked the fluid level, the reservoir was empty and the radiator was almost a gallon low.
In the past I have attached a ling skinny tube to a shop vac and tried to suck out anything that might be on the radiator, I have never blown the radiator out, with compressed air, because I had been advised against it.
This time, it was completely clogged in some spots and there seemed to be no other way to do it.

I saw your post on the TBN. Glad it was not a big issue ! I usually pop the hood each time i use my CK27. I don't have the extra coolers in front just the screen. But it will gather dust and debris and more so when i brush hog. Wish i had a bigger tractor but living in a national forest the trees are to close together to have one. I really like your videos and progress you are making !!

I have been thinking about the different things we have done with the tractor in the last year. Spreading lime creates incredible clouds of dust. Brush hogging turns up a lot of chaff and fluff. I am ordering one of those wands that was recommended to me on TBN. And I will just make it a regular thing for maintenance each season.

Looks like a dusty environment,,,i would make sure the air filter is clean also. I have a rx7320 open cab and I was shocked to see how dirty mine was after 200 hrs. Currently, mine is in the shop with a fuel rail sensor problem. The tractor would die whenever the pto was running under a load. It would simply die like it was starving for fuel but it would start back up and run another 15 mins and die again. Its the 2nd major problem,,,the first problem i had was the the hydraulic valves that operate the power reverse would stick and you could not back up. They replaced the whole unit and i have not had problems with that anymore. Good luck,,
