Nearly 11pm Sunday evening... Waiting for Mr Oliver 😻to come in from his mouse murdering session 🐀he brings them home both alive and dead... From the orchard next door.....the joys of owning a cat... Anyway this is the first chance I've had to watch you in peace.. Looks soooooo good it's my favourite bread too. I'm .. Going to make some more of your Date Slices tomorrow they are delicious ,,,,, you take care my lovely😢❤️ 🙏❤️
Lovely recipe, thanks. Can I ask, still havent decided on buying a K Chef, K Aid or Ankarsrum. I had decided against the latter as it appeared a bit "fiddly" with changing the parts out. Whats your verdict? Seeing you make this bread made me think shall I go the Ankarsrum route.
Hi Julia. Thanks very much. Choosing a mixer is tricky really. Personally I like the Ankarsrum much more than the Kitchen Aid. I have never tried a Kenwood. But really it depends on what you want to use it for. For instance I don't find the Kitchen Aid very good for making dough, the manual says not to knead at more than level 2 speed, it did also say 'for no more than two minutes'. But they have removed that from the manual after some negative publicity, it seems. T goohe Ankarsrum is simply superb at mixing dough. But both machines are good for making cake batter, meringue etc. So I suppose it rather depends. If you are more keen on making bread then Ankarsrum might be the way to go, particularly as it is much better for that and can handle vast quantities. But if bread is just a sideline to making cakes, biscuits etc either machine will do.
Thank you 😊 Geoff, this looks mouth-watering and 😢 and fun to make.
Hi Lorraine. Thanks very much. It was even more fun to eat. LOL.
