It's quite simple and you can do it yourself at home. One plant is a mother and gets pollenated by a second plant - father. It happens by placing a pollen with a tiny brush. So you have to do the job for them. The seed is a hybrid and the plant from this seed is a hybrid.
@@magdalena2238 i have read somewhere anthuriums have perfect flower meaning they have both female and male part, and different from philodendrons which have separate female and male part. @@hernuprawira1969 with anthuriums it's quite interesting. The flower starts as "mother" and it can get pollenated. If it didn't happen the flower starts to produce pollen and you can collect it to pollenate next flower or other plants flowers. This topic is so so sexy ;)

Awe I love the leaf with the missing "ear". Makes him unique... I like the oddities! Watching your videos make me so happy Kaylee Ellen! I've not had a very happy run lately, watching your videos are a highlight and a smile on my day to look forward to! Sending you a hug from Pennsylvania US
The warocqueanum with bunny ears is the mature form I suppose- saw a plant haul from ecuagenera and their waroc also has the ears/ lobes like yours! But the younger leaf on the plant didn’t have the lobes
I really like these type of videos. It's just full of positivity and excitement over plants. And I get to see some new specimens that I might put in my wishlist 😊
WOW Kaylee! That mysterious Dark boi and the Alocasia at the end were incredibly beautiful!!!! I have loved the look of Aroids since I was a teen, but they're not for me at this time, as my condo is too small, and my succulent collection is taking up a lot of room. I'm loving the way that Aroid plants have been diversified and are now being loved by more people than ever before. Hugs from Chicago!!!
Yeeees we need the video on Large form/small form differences! There is soo much dicussion over this topic 😆😆 But thank you for the info in this video!💚
Love how happy and excited you seem in this video!!! 🥰 I think many youtubers get this "fake it to make it" strain when they are going through a lot that shows in their videos and it makes me sad to see. I love that you seem to be genuinely happy here 🤍 But please please please don't take that to mean I am saying that you NEED to be like that in videos, you are a human being with varying emotions and I hope you don't feel like you need to fake them, ever...I'm just happy because you seem happy and it's infectious ☺️ xo
I really like this. I hope we get these more than every few months, especially during peak growing season. Growth updates in cool plants would be really cool. What’s happened to the obliqua?
Hey everyone! Just a disclaimer if you ever feel the need to get a Philodendron Joepii I would REALLY make sure you are getting it from a good source that propagated it in a greenhouse or whatever, because you NEED to make sure you NEVER get them from the wild. These plants are nearly extinct in the wild and they could disappear from our planet; propagated lab grown plants do not help with restoration as these plants need the genetic diversity to continue to reproduce and genetic clones can't really contribute to that, so getting them from a specialized greenhouse should be fine (correct me if I'm wrong). But just overall I would be on the side of caution and not get this plant because you could be accidentally supporting illegal plant poaching and the extinction of a species.
UGH the Alocasia Zebrina Reticulata is seriously my favorite plant right now and I had the opportunity to get one at a great price but I didn't have anywhere to put it so I let it go and I have been kicking myself ever since 😫 Great end to the video! Also, another good way to tell the difference between a McDowell and a Pastazanum is that the leaf tips on a McDowell come to a point and a Pastazanum stays rounded. I literally just learned that like 2 days ago.
The NoID could be the anthurium ‘red beauty’ hybrid! No one is sure what exactly the parents are, but they stay super dark for most of their life. It’s often sold as either A. moodeanum or A. Chamberlanii and is believed to have one of the aforementioned as parents. The only way to be sure would be to take a look at the inflorescence.
I’ve seen pictures of anthurium moodeanum with dark leaves . Could it be crossed with an anthurium balaoanum or a boosii . Both have similar leaves but green .
You never disappoint girl, love listening to you, I'm Irish living in Canada. Question of you have time to answer, would you recommend pon for people who like to travel? I know we can't now but in the future. I'm worried about my 300 plus plants. I only use soil ATM. Thanks in advance 💚
My philodendron joepii are very easy care plant. I was able to transition to leca last year, I lost 1 leaf during transition but gave me 2 leaves after acclimated.
Hey! How do you care for alocasias from international shipments. You mentioned for most plants a 24 hr placement in water helps a lot, but tubers and rhizome-type plants hate hate being overwatered. Do you still do that for an alocasia like that zebrina? I have a jacklyn coming in next week so trying to figure that out quickly!
the no id hybrid looks like it’s a anthurium chamberlani hybrid! i was watching one of ur old anthurium hauls and the leaf color/shape looks kinda alike!!! love ur content
the no ID Anthurium is a Giant Red Heart in my knowledge, not a Moodeanum since it hasn´t so much red on its back and the veining is more greenish/yellow. Torn between this two options. Please update us when a new leaf emerges- I am really curious to specify this!
Could you do a video on how hybrid plants are made? Like the process behind it.
It's quite simple and you can do it yourself at home.
One plant is a mother and gets pollenated by a second plant - father. It happens by placing a pollen with a tiny brush. So you have to do the job for them. The seed is a hybrid and the plant from this seed is a hybrid.

The first thing I thought when I saw the Joepii was: That’s a helicopter!
Swoopii
I would love a video about the whole large form vs small form vs borsigiana vs deliciosa debate. So many opinions and interpretations floating around!
