Hey Kaylee I was wondering if you would do a video on transferring plants to Leca. I've tried with a lot of plants but they all rotted. I would love to know some more about it. Also I was watching your videos from 2 years ago from the rare plant index Playlist. I would loveeee some updates on those. I struggle with my lupinum too. But I see sellers being able to propagate them very fast. Their medium is a mix of old rice hull (close to being a compost) and soil. That's the usual medium that plants are being sold here in Asia and plants really do well, exposed outdoors to sun and rain. I repotted my lupinum to soilless aroid medium and the growth is very slow. 1 cutting died. The only time it started doing better was when I brought it indoors and under a grow light. I'm glad you covered the lupinum. I had a really been wondering what was up, as I couldn't get to one when you originally sold it I was hoping you would be selling it again. I guess I'll try and find one local since I am in the US
I agree with Pastazanum mine all leaf fell off when I received it. Now i dunno if it will recover. Just left with the shoot without leaf. Help what to do... heart broken.
LOL the lupinum..... omg I bought one last year.... :| The roots MELTED into nothing when it arrived and despite my best efforts to regrow / propagate the wet sticks / rehab...it eventually died. It would cost me less mental fatigue to burn the money I paid for it. It was not cheap! Lesson learned Lupinum...lesson learned.
Philodendron lupinum is a nightmare. Once I tried removing the established plant from moss, all the leaves instantly turned brown and fell off, leaving the plant a bare stem. I'm still keeping it, but I'm not sure if it'll ever come back.

Hi Kaylee, I just wanted to ask you something - even though I've got account with your online shop whenever I try to check some plants it showing me they're sold out..like all the time.. Why's that? Thanks
I used to have some sort of a magic boi Verrucosum, that came to me in early January after being in the box for almost a month (!!!) stuck somewhere in classic European winter weather, and not only it came out of the box with not a single sign of damage, lost zero leaves, it even unfurled a new huge one only a few days later. Grew really well, never had an issue with spider mites.. I totally loved that plant... And then one underwatering killed it when I was on holiday for a week and didn't give proper instructions to my plantsitting flatmate that knows nothing about plants... I still cry when I remember this plant. That was like a true love amongst plants, you feel me? I killed at least 30 other plants and I never cared too much but this one, oh boi... 🥲
Similar experience with my beautiful verrucosum. When I went to change the pole it was trailing on I broke into an ‘elbow’ as I call it. Happened about 2 weeks ago. I feel your pain.
I had a similar experience with mine. As I was changing the moss pole, I broke the stem where I call the elbow. Happened about 2 weeks ago. I feel your sadness. 😥
@@specialuniquesnowflake unfortunately no. I attempted to patch him up but it was too late. I am waiting awhile until I get a replacement. It was my birthday present to myself in June. Maybe next year?
@@gaverbach aw. have you tried propagating it? I tried, had like 4 cuttings and like 6 more nodes out of it and they slowly gave up on life one by one, all gone now. I'll get another one next year as well probably.. hope we both have better luck next time and won't do the same deadly mistakes lol
I know some have mentioned this before, but what about having a day a month, where you sell directly from the store? Like people can come and pick up their plants, especially when it comes to the ones that ships bad.. 😊
I’ve always wanted a lupinum but more so the mature version, but now know to stay far away 😂 and with verrucosum, be prepared to be nursing wet sticks for the next few months 🙄 in fact, just save yourself the trouble and cut off all the leaves and most of the roots after you get the plants and just start from scratch and acclimate it to your own conditions 😂 I’ve actually found gigas not too bad l
I'm so grateful now for managing to get two large verrucosums from abroad (5 days shipping) in January with no damage other than minor folds in a couple leaves. Ironically the two others I bought locally before that tanked really fast.
*Daintily touches the Xanthosoma* …leaf promptly proceeds to keel over. Omg I laughed so hard I cried. 😂

I just assume that any alocasia I get will go stump mode and I am pleasantly surprised when they don’t.
I wish I would have known that before. First Alocasia lost all leaves and I threw it away. Well, lesson learned over the years.
Love your content. Thank you! Could you go over small versions and or slow growing plants. Like small philodendron for small growing space. ❤ 🪴
Is that a pastazanum silver? Does it ship differently than the green form?
Hi Kaylee, I just wanted to ask you something - even though I've got account with your online shop whenever I try to check some plants it showing me they're sold out..like all the time.. Why's that? Thanks
It shows like that when she doesn't keep the shop open.
@@gaverbach sorry to hear that. did he survive?
I'm not insured to be open to the general public :(
I’ve always wanted a lupinum but more so the mature version, but now know to stay far away 😂 and with verrucosum, be prepared to be nursing wet sticks for the next few months 🙄 in fact, just save yourself the trouble and cut off all the leaves and most of the roots after you get the plants and just start from scratch and acclimate it to your own conditions 😂 I’ve actually found gigas not too bad l
I'm so grateful now for managing to get two large verrucosums from abroad (5 days shipping) in January with no damage other than minor folds in a couple leaves. Ironically the two others I bought locally before that tanked really fast.
Verru is such an easy going plant. I have a UK verru and one from Ecuador. No issues.
@@olkaolka9092 lucky you! you must have the magic touch haha
Sigh, going to cut this wilting leaf and browning stem.. 🙄
Kind of a goofy thought, but have you tried shipping with supplied air? Kind of like a heat pack?
My gigas are quite easy going, I don’t even wait for it to dry before watering. Melanochrysum on the other hand, is quite finicky
