Great Review
Cheers Simon!
Great video guys! I now know why my one block always fails. 🥳🥳 keep it up! 🙌🏽
Cheers KORU! Amazing to hear we’ve highlighted this for you! No more costly replacements each season for that one now 🤙🏼 Out of interest for other viewers what were you using and where?
@@SailHub i had a main halyard block with ball bearings. It was on the boat when i got her. When it was time to replace it i just bought the same type. FAIL! 😅
Ah Bingo! So good to hear we’ve helped you suss that out. Next time replace with a good old bush with thrust bearings 👊🏼
Another factor to be considered is axial rather than radial loads. Needle roller bearings are not as good as roller bearings at accepting axial loads.
This is very true! However we shouldn’t have these loads in a block if the correct block is used for the job.👍
You forgot to mention which one will be working horse in -30° where you have ice block pully..(now there is a new term):)
Good call! 🤦♂️⛵️
Links broken
Thanks Peter. We will get into it today.
Hey, After checking we think their site is simply down for maintenance. We will be sure to check back next week to check it’s all synced up again. In the meantime if there’s a specific example you’d like to check out we can ping you a different link to help. Just let us know 👍🏼
@@SailHub The first three links are still broke... FYI... great video!
@MurkyDregs Cheers! Seems Ocean Chandlery have dropped some of the products from their website, I have updated with other links for you 👍
@@SailHub Thx Good Sir!
