@@laaa210 the best way get enough calories is eat lots of fat in your one or two meals. Fat is very calorie dense. If you cut out carbs then you actually may not need 2700 calories per day. Many indigenous peoples around the world ate mostly fat and meat. We all come from indigenous peoples so we're built to eat like them.

For me, complete abstinence of carbs and sugar is the only way.
I cannot stop once I start, I binge and binge, it can last for hours, or a day, or a week/ month. I secretly eat when the family are asleep and I eat chocolate and junk until I feel sick. Then I eat some more.
I'm currently on day 4 of my meat/ cheese/ eggs and I feel better already. My cravings for sugar and junk are becoming less noticeable and easier to ignore now, my bloating is reducing too

Right there with you. I was slamming snack cakes at night when the family goes to bed and chased them with sodas or some fruity drink. On top of that I was eating a diet full of carbs and fast food. I got some blood work done recently that changed my direction. I'm currently trying to ease myself into Keto and eventually would like to try strict carnivore.

Two meals a day is not intermittent fasting, if you're having 2 meals a day it is impossible for you to have entered ketosis as there quite literally isn't enough time in a day; you're just dieting at that point. Speaking anecdotally, in 2014/2015 I switched to a low-calorie low-carb high-protein pescatarian diet in order to burn fat and build muscle. My physician did bloodwork around the time and panicked when they saw my ketones were through the roof because for someone of my size it is often an indicator of diabetes. When I disclosed that I was down to 260 lbs from 300 lbs inside of 2 months they were immediately relieved because it was just an indicator of my body maintaining ketosis. The worst thing I ever did was relapse a couple years later because more than just putting back on some weight I can confirm there is a change in headspace, palate, and how much energy I had throughout the day. When your body is burning fat you don't have the same sugar-dominated cravings and you're less exhausted (and therefore less intimidated) by physical challenges.

I have found that eating one big meal every 36 to 38 hours has very positive effects...
it’s awkward to maintain but if done once or twice a week for six months or so... I found it to be very invigorating and general health improvements occurred.
but for muscle development processes and highly active activities I match my intake to my activities.
All things in moderation is a good mindset.
Everyone needs to find what works for them and recognize that any dynamic changes creates effects. So adapt to change and change in order to adapt.
Being super cut is excellent for the day of a contest...
However it is not really healthy for your body unless your diet and activities creates that form naturally.
It’s good to simply be able to fast at any time and have the reserves and good health to do so.
But everyone is different and fasting can be dangerous and cause ill effects if unfamiliar or because of health and nutrition conditions at the onset of the fast.
It’s smart to put some fruit pieces in water for providing some sugar for your brain if your new to fasting or going on a long discipline workout. Looking at the meal before you for days for hours and days while you are hungry...
Is good exercise for muscles most people never develop.
It is not even tempting once you develop discipline and have made a decision.
But don’t harm your health because you because have developed your discipline and will power.
Pay attention to you body. It is like the temple of your being.

    Cherish it.

Have that chest day once in a while and treat yourself to some desert or something but don’t slip into eating crap everyday. Don’t eat after dark. I do something slightly different every day depending on work and how I'm feeling. If I don't feel too hungry I just don't eat and fill up with water. Typically I've been doing a 19-5 split and twice a 20-4 spilt and one day I waited 22 hours and just had one meal that day. Felt a bit shaky that day.

I was a pushbike courier for over 10 years, I tried many different diets. This "carnivore" diet worked amazingly. I wouldn't suggest it anyone other than distance athletes. I'd cover on average around 120km a day of stop/start city riding everyday. Eating fatty meats meant less recovery time, less lactic acid build up and far better concentration for long periods. Concentration was the main attraction cause if there's one thing you don't want playing in city traffic was a lapse in concentration.

It's frustrating. Someone with diabetes, Crohn's, etc., can get a "special diet allowance" of up to several hundred dollars from disability support because, for example, sugar-free jam costs more than regular jam (nobody needs jam). They don't even consider diet when it comes to alleviating the symptoms of serious mental health issues. (I guess there's no money to be made if they can't push the pills.) I have noticed on many occasions, and somewhat as a failure of our nutritional infrastructure, the following. When carbs enter my systems, en mass, I feel much more suggestible. This effect seems more potent with combinants. For example, Sugary pastries, which combine high carbohydrate bread with processed sugars have a spit thickening effect and a feeling associated with them that feels to be a lack of ability to process external stimuli. These effects are at their most potent when a very processed confection is eaten without cut. The only cut that does something good for me is a vegetable. When I eat only vegetables, I never feel the lethargy of a Carb/Sugar rich diet. I do however, tend to feel somewhat angry. So I have a diet that is probably non-communicable in the sense that it would take personal erudition to figure out how your body plays with things and products that would offer the nutrition you are lacking. Some days I eat six cookies, most days I eat tons of veggies. Every once in a while a bit of meat. My path is more clear to me now than it was yesterday, I don't think we can understand memories that go back much further, so perhaps.

    Things to Consider 🤔
    🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩
I’m no expert but here are just a few things to consider as far as carnivore, paleo, keto diets:
    Nhear or discuss:
    1) Meat is harder on the digestive system.
    2) It takes longer to digest.
    3) It uses up more energy.
    4) It can feel more sluggish during the peak digestive time.
    5) It is harder on the heart, arteries, tract, etc.
    6) It usually increases cholesterol and blood pressure to a degree.
    7) Meditators/yogis will generally concur that it has a dampening effect on Consciousness/Heart.
    8) 3/4 of ppl on these diets aren’t eating the purest possible, which is harder to find and much more expensive, if they’re being selective at all. Which means concentrations of problematic substances.
    9) Volumes of meat/seafood are often too much - which causes various problems.
    10) Restrictive diets are more likely to be lacking in diversity of nutrients, minerals, components.
    11) The method of preparing matters too - I see a lot of frying, marinades, butter etc.
    12) Last but not least for some - impact on climate, environment, and the issue of animal cruelty/morality.

Fasting has been a game changer personally. One meal day and a monthly 3-day, water-only fast. Cut out soda, rice, bread pasta and sweeteners. One bowl of ice cream per week as a "cheat". Haven't had so much as a sniffle since 2015 when I started. Anecdotal, yes, but it is working well.

If you just supplemented with 1000IU Vitamin D3 gel caps daily you would likely never get the common cold. Just from that.

What do you eat for your meal?

    • @KayFabe87
      @KayFabe87 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@LuisDiaz-gw1xs It varies. My typical meal during the week is usually 2 avocados, 2 hard-boiled eggs and maybe a chicken breast, tuna or some other meat that I cooked during the weekend which lasts the entire week.
I also eat a variety of vegetables such as cauliflower, broccoli, green beans and maybe a massive salad one day a week as my meal. For fruits I stick to mainly strawberries and blueberries, and I will typically make a 'green smoothie' using the aforementioned berries, and orange along with celery, cucumbers, spinach/salad mix, and maybe a red bell pepper. I also eat Pecans and Walnuts from time to time. Oh, and no food at all from Sunday afternoon until Tuesday when I get home from work as I fast completely for at least 48 hours once a week. I make exceptions for holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas where I indulge, but I fast the day before and the day after. This is what has worked for me, but your mileage may vary.

I believe everyone is different. Some people respond really well to one meal a day, low carb and bigh protein, while others does the opposite. I tried the one meal a day diet and it worked really well for 3 weeks, then my body started to experience starvation mode and my athletic performance started to suffer. I felt hungry All the time and my testosterone started to decrease. So I decided to try different ways to fast. Some days I might fast one day out of the week for a month or fast two days every two weeks for two months and some days 3 days once a month. By mixing it up, my body started to experience tremendeous benefits from fasting. I think it's very important to realise people respond differently to certain diet. And by ignoring this, people can do some serious damage to themselves. There is one thing I do believe wholeheartedly, stay away from black coffee while fasting. I believe it is really bad for your stomach while fasting.

I agree with this. It totally depends on who your ancestors are as to what diet is best for you. For example if you Inuit or Eskimo carnivore diet is gonna be great for you as for thousands of years your ancestors ate only meat. If you are white getting calories from milk is a great option for bulking but if you are Asian you lack enough lactase enzymes to properly break the lactose in dairy. Why? Because your ancestors did not eat a lot of dairy and therefore never developed those enzymes.

You didn't do it long enough. The body "fat adapts" at around the 4-6 week mark. And for some it takes 8 weeks or 10 in extreme cases. It's fine to say you tried, and to think its not for you. But you didn't really do it correctly. Sorry.

@@alyssacrypto i did it for 2 months, just to be sure. Same story, was fine for the first 2-3 weeks and then I just started feeling like complete shit. I pushed it to the two month mark to be sure but I just couldn't continue after that. My body also just works well with carbs, +300g daily and I experience no fatigue. Different bodies I guess.

@Jassa Singh there is no simple answer for this one. You need to find what works for you. Coffee is a trigger for some people. Some people find veggie a good choice. You'll need to experiment and figure out what works best for you. But High intensity exercise is a necessity. It releases natural anti inflammatory hormones which have shown to beneficial.

George isn’t entirely correct about “we would eat as much as we could when we could” studies have shown that pre Neolithic man foraged much more than they hunted. This would indicate that humans evolved to graze throughout the day on roots, nuts, fruits, eggs, forms of calories that won’t fight back and potentially kill you. Human meat consumption was much more opportunistic showing that when we did eat meat, we usually ate lots of meat at once. A group kills a; turkey, fish, Buffalo etc… they’re going to eat almost the whole thing within a day.
