    When I was a kid, there was a manager for the Orioles named Earl Weaver. His ejections were legendary.

      It was funny how 4'8" Earl Weaver would storm out of the dugout like a wild barbarian waving his arms and kicking dirt
      😂

    Some of those pitches are in the strike zone and too close to take.

      Some of them also follow a pattern. If the umpire doesn’t call it there usually, you won’t swing and vice versa

    The overhead camera does not show the proper angle to see if a Batter offers at the ball.. Why do TV directors show that angle when they have a low 1st and 3rd.. Please explain that to me

    Catchers should not be allowed to frame the ball once they've caught it.

      I agree but umps should know a real strike or ball from a framed one...

      @@kingdommanlegacyministries7769
      I also consider the catcher's point of view because they have to extend their arm and catch the pitch moving in a specific direction. Catchers catch the ball quickly to stop it; maybe some catchers don't intentionally frame the ball, but many of them seem to do so. Framing the ball shouldn't be illegal, but umpires should do a better job.

    • @ts.elliot5870
      @ts.elliot5870 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      How do you enforce that? Framing a pitch has been around since the game first began.

      MLB needs a huge crack down and more consistency, certain umpire strike zones seem like a rhombus while others conviently lose a corner, then when challenged they are either quick to eject or note it & make sure you dont get on base tonight/series. Reffing with spite.
      The NBA is also a huge clown show with referees and obviously known riggers are still officiating lmao.

    MLB rates umps calls the lowest rated ups are right 85% of the time. It's a few umps, like Angel Hernandez are horrible at balls and strikes. He's equally bad on the bases. The Umps Union is strong enough MLB didn't get rid of him. On the other hand he rarely got the plum assignments.

  • @Crichtonator1982

    Umpires are quick to toss players, coaches and managers, so if coaches and managers want to prevent players from being tossed, they need to be extremely super fast to do that.

    MLB wants quicker games? But the quick ejections cause way more of a distraction and slow the game down more than anything with the arguments afterwards. Baseball officials seems to be the worst of the 4 major sports. They don't want to be questioned about anything.

    Reading all of y’all’s responses tells me y’all have never fully officiated any level of any sport. When you get heckled for any little mistake day after day, you’re going to put an end to it. Everyone is going to gripe on close calls. You’ll make one side happy and one side mad. Unavoidable. Y’all also see things from the box that is showing on the tv screen with no pressure to make a split second decision. Not to mention that ball is coming at you that fast where hitters have a tenth of a second to react. So the umpire has a tenth of a second to decide if it’s a ball or strike. Y’all expecting these guys to be extremely well rested and mentally perfect every game. Thru the excessive heat and no to mention the pressure of being watched by millions and expected to be spot on every single call. But shit, since y’all have it figured out, PLEASE get out there and show them how it’s done! Y’all calling the umpires soft when y’all are crying about a call that didn’t go your way… who is really the soft one? You honestly believe you, as a man are gonna just let everyone go open season for every little mistake you make? NOPE! No, I’m not an umpire. But i know what they’re going thru. They’re being constantly evaluated by higher ups. So add all that and the fact they haven’t exploded yet? Props to them. Y’all over here not thinking, just picturing that all they do is work 2 or 3 hours with no prep or post game and are fully rested not feeling any pressure or heat exhaustion or taking any crap from anyone constantly and just going back home kicking up their feet. Pfffft. Not to mention they’re away from their families and dealing with life too and y’all just acting like entitled kids who have NO clue what you’re talking about lol. Really think before you run your mouth wild! Lol just saying
