Yeah, Append definitely seem like the better option over grailing. A boost in max HP and ATK is great and all, but the insane time investment for each step of that can be spend to prop up the weaker Servants and bring the overall team efficiency up. Plus Append is better for grinding purposes with that NP charge boost.
Grailing is designed to be an end goal of an account, esp the lvl 120, only one per account type of thing. Append is intended to buff servants you most often use, basically giving them free MLB KScope effect or easier time looping with 50%-er. Esp with Castoria coming.

Top 10 Servants with the highest combined star and NP gain from the Extra Attack Performance Append skill in the game thus far: 1 - Cleopatra 2 - Jaguar MAN 3 - Queen Medb 4 - Amakusa Shirou 5 - The Old Man of the Mountain 6 - Jeanne Alter 7 - Stheno 8 - Elizabeth Bathory (Halloween) 9 - Carmilla 10 - Sakata Kintoki (Rider) There certainly are many other servants that make it work, but they either have significantly less NP Gain from the extra attack or don't make as much stars for the NP they generate when compared to these servants' extra attacks. For these servants, it is incredibly more useful to unlock Extra Attack Performance Up over Mana Loading or grailing past 100.
Something extremely worth noting is that for some reason, Amakusa Shirou has a hidden bonus to his Extra Attack damage output. This causes him to deal +54% more damage on his extra attack. His massive 7 hit count on his extra attack and the top 10 tier 6.02% NP gain he gets from his extra attack, this means Extra Attack Finesse becomes his most important skill to obtain. At append skill level 10, the extra attack on a buster brave chain would deal 1078% damage and give him 9% NP gauge and 11 crit stars. This means a level 90 Amakusa Shirou can deal 72k damage with his Extra Attack alone with no buffs. The gains on that append skill is cataclysmic.
To note, other than the Starting battery append, it’s better to NOT max level the other appends as unlike normal skills which has 1 turn CD Locked behind lvl 10, these are passive buffs that’s always active, we don’t need to max em to be more efficient. It’s to be more economical as F2P doesn’t get that many Lores in the first place.
Got my Zerkerlot to level 10 mana loading and he's doing great with a non-MLB Kscope. Gonna have one last hurrah of Skadi farming before Castoria comes out.
IMO, Calamity Jane's third Appen is a good niche. It gives her advantage against foreigners. Not super common, but appreciated especially on a single target NP.
My guide list for appends is simple: Servants I use for solo a lot go with extra attack first. The rest go with mana loading first -with few exceptions here and there.-
I'm gonna unlock the Bunnytoria starting np and leave it at 10%, since her skill is 40%, she can turn 1 NP with just 50% starting np CEs. Its basically free.

one of the more niche benefits for the append skill 3 are for class benefits in common farming nodes. Like Murasaki has anti lancer, for the ember farming assassins, lancers, and berserkers are all together. So bringing Murasaki would give her an edge on every enemy there.

@@kayobee604 yes it is. Gives you mystic code flexibility with castoria 10 Mana tuning charge. Her charge plus double castoria np gain charge equals 100. Without Mana tuning you need 10 charge from a mystic code so it cuts down on flexible but with the Mana tuning now you can use a double damage mystic code for extra damage while the leftover 60 charge can give you the second and third turn np
Look, all I know is once the coin issue is cleared and we get the amount we're supposed to get I'm heavily considering going balls to the wall on my Mephistopholes. It would probably be a better idea to focus on one of my more... practical... grailed units like Summer Tamamo or maybe Okita but I am completely willing to watch all my mats and qp burn solely for the sake of the meme. I mean, I wasn't exactly planning on making him my main dps against any zerks in the near future... *BUT*
Hate to say this, but since 3* and lower don't get coins from summoning, the number of Mephy coins you have is correct ... unless it's bugged as well and you get lower amount than what he supposed to get through his bond levels.
Thanks for that explanation for how Extra Attack Boost works. I maxed out this skill for Kiyohime and it does *WONDERS* for Kiyohime's already great NP Gain. Didn't know it also increases NP & Star Generation. I KNOW I gotta give Osakabehime her Extra Attack boost cause her star gain is top notch! As for the Anti-Class Skills they do have their uses. Siegfried has Anti-Saber, and quite a few Saber servants have the Dragon trait on them (And if they don't, there's Siegfried's best friend, Saint Georgios to fix that little problem). Also on the topic of Anti-Class Skills, am I the only one who thinks some of these choices for Servants getting certain classes to do more damage on have lore significance? For example, Boudica gets Anti-Saber for herself. Remember the nickname Nero Claudius has for Extra? Another example is Asterios. The Bull-Man has Anti-Saber crit chance resistance, and with the release of Theseus in JP he's a Saber. And on the topic of Theseus, his Anti-Class? *Berserkers.*
Yeah the Anti-Class ones are always assigned from Lore and or Servant interactions so that's why they vary a lot in usability. On the new GudaGuda event this year for instance, Takeda had Anti-Ruler which basically gave us a teaser that Ruler Kagetora would be released later in the event and she was.

What is your opinion about this guys: Vlad Lancer has Avenger Affinity Append Skill. His NP desls bonus damage to evil. Most Avengers are evil. Potential nishe? Or are the others append better? iMO none of them are great.
3rd append is 95% of the time quite useless, but yeah i believe only ranmaru and maou nobu aren't evil aligned from the released avenger servants at least. Also as a side note what's pretty funny is that stheno got the best 3rd append, as she does extra damage to riders as assassin with it xd
@@MikuOlliet Yeah it would be much better if they let you choose the objetive of the damage, but I would say that is good in extra classes farmers, so you can farm that specific class better like, if a wave has a extra beefy archer the 30% in Space Ishtar the extra damage is appreciated.

I'll just open up Mana tuning on all the units I actually like and then the class damage skill and leave the ones I never use normal so the future grails can be used sooner for me. Also love the lb 5.5 and 6 mats can be given in events as the biggest mess in lb 6 was just how long it took to actually allow farming but this will give every player a chance to save mats for day 1 Morgan max skills
The reason why I'm hoping for both appends because they're easier and have more utility then extra harsh lvl ups, also it's worth to note that for SSRs: -if you only have np1, you can still unlock 2 of the append skills with bond lvl14 -but you still need Np2 and bond lvl15 to get to lvl120 So it's way cheaper and more utile This is why even as much as I love my servents, as a f2p, I can only look at the append skills, with considering the 2nd one a priority
Kiara probably has the best append 3 because combined with her passive she almost has full class advantage against ruler's, as if her kit wasn't busted enough.
Another great example for Append Skill 3 is Barghest with the Anti-Alter Ego damage passive. Coupled with how her class resist the damage from Alter Egos, she can also deal more damage to them and may be a good selection for tank solo play against them I used Barghest to solo Douman in HRM easily as long as I avoid his Instant Death gimmick
I would shout out both enikdu and Musashi for both having anti berserker while not having defensive advantage they have the strongest nps in the game and will out dps forgeiners even , also Musashis fifth force and buster deck gives her crazy extra attacks with the append skill.
Personally I think lower rarities can come on a more equal footing with gold servants with the append skills because of theirs being more easily unlockable.
I did not know about extra attack bonus when using brave chains of the same cars type, & also didnt know the extra attack bonus also increases crit stars & NP gain

As s.ishtar user, that append skill helps so much for me that don't have MLB kaleidoscope Before castoria : I can 3 turn farm without plugsuit just with waver and skadi After castoria : Normally, i use bonus ce (like tea time, lunch time, etc) for s.ishtar. Without 2nd append the calculation at 1st turn is 50% np charge from s ishtar skill + 40% from castoria(s) skill = 90% np gauge and for 10% i use any mystic code that provides np charge or plugsuit But with append skill, just at level 1 it's enough to cover the 10% and can use any mystic code. I'm planning to open all her append ( i know it isn't worth so much) but for love and simp reason, i'll do that lmao even though i have to find 2 more her copies.
The good news it is a problem on the developers end. The subreddit was flooded with people saying they got less coins then they were supposed to. The devs have addressed this and are working on a fix (and there are rumors we might get quartz as an apology).
@@restunic2905 there is another Bug they probably wont Adress that soon since much less people report it. You append skills can reset to Level 1 and your spent materials are just lost. Happened to me.

I didn't reaalise Hoku's 3rd skill was useful. I somehow got her to NP2 back when I just did daily logins and pulls. So thats a real good option for me
For me I’m gonna use append 3 on some farming units, just so they have another class they are good against, kinda like a mini class advantage, though thats after i finish append 2 which is way better.
So its good to max 2 append for servants with 30%battery bc with that and 50%gauge CE you can use np without support right? 1 append is good for solo monsters like Orion? But i dont know about 3 append. When i look at it its almost always disappointingly ussless(except rare cases ofc like Stheno).
I personally would like to max all append skill and lvl 120 on kiara. Since all of the appends and stats benefits her. But it's too expensive since extra np levels are needed. I hope lasagne will make a system to work around that eventually..
Just got random Musashi, I still haven't received the coins for her yet. So it doesn't seem like what's broken is just the past coin record, new servant ain't getting them coins as well.
Should I still prioritize the np gauge append over the extra attack damage append for a unit like QSH? Or would the extra be more beneficial if he is soloing a lot?
Tbh in her case I might just go with the Zerker damage. It's even better in her case because it's considered %attack increase and she doesn't have that in her kit, meaning it will multiple with her Arts buff.
I'm having a tough time deciding for Musashi's case since i only have her at NP4. If I were to only unlock 2 appends so that I can level to 120, what two Appends should I level? (Personally, I might pick the 1st and 3rd(Anti-Berserk), but it's still very hard to decide. Well, I could just pick all 3 and stay lvl 112, I'm fine with this too)
Don't know if you were looking for suggestions, but i'd pick first and second + 120, as a st without a battery this might help you a lot in raids to use multiple nps, while the bonus damage on zerkers is just kinda there? They already take a lot of damage and she's a buster servant so she doesn't care much for overkill. The level 120 is very good on her though, She pretty much force her way through bosses already and her kit is very silple, she can definetly make use of those 2k extra atk
Mana loading will likely be useful in a lot more situations (especially if you don't have a Superscope), plus leveling up isn't an all-or-nothing proposition. Once you hit Bond 13 you can get to 120 but will need NP3+Bond 15 to unlock even one append skill. On the other hand, you could get Mana Loading and level 110 (114 at Bond 15). Each level past 100 takes about as much XP as getting a character from 1 to 100 too. Here's the rule of thumb I use for deciding whether to 120 someone: if you have to ask, don't. It's a huge amount of resources and if you aren't so dedicated to the character that you're willing to do it no questions asked, it's better to just hold on to the resources. You can spend saved resources later. You can't unspend spent resources.
I'm gonna try and work on maxing enkidu in both grails to 120 and append, except for the third append, and I can live without the second but I definitely want the others, as of now I'm at bond 11 and only 1 copy, next ssr ticket I'm gonna spend on them that leaves 1 more copy for grails, if I can raise bond more, and if I can get to 15 I will need 1 more copy, so that's 4 if I did my math right, might go for 1 more for np 5 but I don't think I'd have the coins to get loading, I'd need to make sure I did the math right, one way or another I need 2 more copies of enkidu, and I'm a ftp so this will be fun
C'mon Lasengle, give us ALL the coins our accounts have built up so that my lvl. 100 bond 10 Hokusai could possibly fix her Berserker damage problems with the NOT Extra Attack append skills.
Forgive me for asking, but yeah these are great and glad we have the coins now. I can only hope i gacha some of the 5 stars i want later like Musashi, Iskandar , Romulus quirius and others. That said, trying to max bond and everything to earn coins. Though I'd appreciate your insight. I own a Musashi who is NP2, and is maxed out otherwise. Do you have any recommendation for her? Either to append or advance grail past 100? Id appreciate your insight if possible.
I unlocked 2 append skills for a servant but they're still grayed out and not working (its easy to tell because I leveled the starting NP once and I am still starting with 0%). A I missing a final step or do they only start working when they're all unlocked?
6:25 Wow i just knew that same color brave chain extra attack boost. This will work with NP card too right? For example Caenis only have 2 Buster, so the (NP + Buster + Buster) chain will result 350% extra attack damage boost?
Being single-target makes little difference between being more or less useful with extra attack boost. It may be more advantageous compared to AOE since you may clear the entire wave before pulling off a brave an extra attack. Even so, a support NP would be even more advantageous than a single-target since the NP could kill the last enemy before an extra attack can be used. What's more influential is the amount of NP gained from the extra attack and the hit count. Fortunately, Jalter happens to be among the best in that regard, as in top 10, so she performs exceedingly well with extra attack finesse over mana loading and even grailing beyond 100.
If it makes you feel any better, she has one of the highest extra attack performance in the game. So even if you might not grail to 120, that append is still going to be really damn powerful. To put it in perspective, Jalter with the Extra Attack Append is like giving Jack the Ripper a perpetual +50% quick buff.
Basically 3rd skill average not good not bad 1st skill for dps 2nd skill for np support or for farming with non-mlb kaleidoscope Priority should normally just be 2nd skill 1st skill 3rd skill optional
Mana tuning is always the best option But the other two skills Only if you do a lot of solos is extra attack the most important on clean up units. For most units the class damage skill is quite good especially berseker damage up as that basically makes the unit have another class advantage for mixed waves in story or farming where you do nuetral but it turns to better damage or just inch out a win. Except the zerks. The crit down Should be ignored as it sucks.

If an account is on the newer side of things, or if you're talking about servants used more for farming, then it probably is. However, for more developed accounts, the battery can end up being the worst of the three append skills to get, simply because it doesn't change anything. Due to developed accounts usually having a few solid supports of their own, battery CE's, and being of high enough master level where fielding powerful teams isn't an issue (especially if the fight lets you take a friend support unit, which costs 0), you can already reach the 100% charge threshold off the start of the fight without the passive. Because excess charge doesn't carry over, unless unlocking the battery append skill provides new thresholds through either different CE's that you already don't normally use but want to, or new team compositions you actually want to run, it's actually a waste of resources to invest in. It can also lose value as newer accounts become developed, and they can access to more support servants, better CE's, and higher team cost limit, whereas the other append skills, while not always active/relevant, never lose value over time simply because an account gets stronger.

Mana tuning is great for everyone. 10 to 20 charge can give you a lot of Investment especially in farming events and make a kscope mlb kscope on base giving you first turn np then you can start charging up and so on and for new players Arash with a 50 charge ce you can get from fp rolls Max appends is a solo wave clear so I'm not sure what you are talking about Honestly you are contriditory saying new players can't use it then veterans don't need it. Getting better ce means you don't it when many units have 30 charge and most ce are 50 so adding 20 from Mana tuning equals 100. Extra attack won't come up as much and class damage is niche where you rather bring up the class advantage servant Instead. It's the overall best choice. Every unit even Hyde getting a charge can make your options better overall. And if you want spam numbers. Arts units have charge. Give Mana tuning to the ones who can use black grail and you give yourself more charge overall. It's never the worst option I suggest to research that like OP who doesn't
@@ivanbluecool The issue with how you're talking about the battery append skill, though, is that you're talking about it as if that servant with it is in a vacuum (or in isolation). Your example with Arash does accurately point out that, with the battery append skill maxed out, he can instantly fire off his NP on his own (with a CE granting him a minimum of 50% starting charge). What it doesn't take into account is who the other servants in that team are, and what they can do. If you run Arash with a Merlin, for example, then you don't need Arash to have the battery append skill at all, as Merlin can provide the 20% battery with his first skill instead, rendering the append skill redundant. Same case for turning a K-scope into a MLB K-scope; look at the team as a whole, and in a lot of cases it isn't necessary to have the battery append skill at all. Of course, Merlin isn't the only one who can give battery, and giving battery isn't even limited to 5* support-type servants, or even 4*+ support type servants. Asclepius, for example, can give 20% battery. If you want to discount story-locked servants, even if they're 3*s, that's fine too, because Shakespeare can give 20% battery. Mash, who doesn't even add to total team cost, can give 20% battery when in her form from 1.0. There are mystic codes which give battery as well. So yes, it is true that most 5* CEs being used are 50% starting battery CEs, but there are many ways to build teams for every type of content FGO has ever released, and depending on how you like to play (and what your account has access to), the battery append skill doesn't do anything you can't already do to get you to 100% charge, but rather takes you over that point to 120%+ charge, at which point it's useless. Also, I never say that new players can't use it. In fact, I say that for newer accounts, the battery append skill IS likely to be the best choice. I also never say veterans don't need it: I simply point out that, for veteran players, if unlocking the battery append skill doesn't unlock for you any new ways to play with or use your servants, then it's effectively useless, as it's highly like that veteran players already have methods for even 3-turn farming without the battery append skill existing. Now, if you want to use CEs like Black Grail, that is an example where the battery append skill can be useful, as there are far more ways to get 80% charge than 100% charge. But as I said before, as an account develops and gains access to more higher rarity (and meta) support servants, better CEs and even extra things like new mystic codes, even going from 0% to 100% charge stops being an issue. If you wouldn't change how you build your team with the battery append skill now released (from said point where going from 0 to 100 is possible for you), then the battery append skill is useless for you, on that specific servant.

Yes but in her case it's bad because Lancers are not good against Rulers. Kiara has a unique passive that gives her a pseudo class advantage against Rulers which makes her append good.
While he does have a triple buster normal deck for juicy extra possibilities, I would still say his main focus should be the huge crits. If anything I think Append 2 is better on him too.
I would love to level my Kagetora to level 120 but I can only level her up to lvl 108 since I have 4x grails or lvl 110 If this event have a grail at the end 😢
You can't level her up past Lv. 110 or so even with sufficient grails anyways since you need more coins and welfares don't get coins from "obtaining" them. That is not a bug.
Just got my coins, but did anyone got coins of their obtain of servants that are NP1? my artoria didn't get the coins of been obtain only the ones of bond
This is just my opinion but NO. Waver is used as a buffer/ NP charger and after that you'll usually plug suit him out or Chen Gong him out to change to another charger/buffer.
Unless you plan to use his NP on turn 1-3 while only having sakurascope, it's not worth it. And if you put a proper support CE on him and don't switch him by any means, building his NP takes time and the charge append doesn't really contribute much in that department, especially if you leave it at 10%.

You need NP6, which is quite a tall order in my opinion. 300 for level 120 and 360 for appends. Bond 15 gives you 180. NP5 would give you 450, so you are still 30 coins short.
@@bananyawn Level 120 alone needs NP2 and bond 12. Its not possible at NP1 with any bond level. One append skill on top and you need at least NP3 and at least bond 14.
It's fine if you wanna fight neutral but personally I would just bring a Moon Cancer full class advantage. Unless you don't have any I either I suppose.

His massive 7 hit count on his extra attack and the top 10 tier 6.02% NP gain he gets from his extra attack, this means Extra Attack Finesse becomes his most important skill to obtain.
At append skill level 10, the extra attack on a buster brave chain would deal 1078% damage and give him 9% NP gauge and 11 crit stars. This means a level 90 Amakusa Shirou can deal 72k damage with his Extra Attack alone with no buffs. The gains on that append skill is cataclysmic.
To note, other than the Starting battery append, it’s better to NOT max level the other appends as unlike normal skills which has 1 turn CD Locked behind lvl 10, these are passive buffs that’s always active, we don’t need to max em to be more efficient.
It’s to be more economical as F2P doesn’t get that many Lores in the first place.

IMO, Calamity Jane's third Appen is a good niche. It gives her advantage against foreigners. Not super common, but appreciated especially on a single target NP.
But wouldn't you prefer to use a foreigner or an alter ego against a foreigner? Unless you don't have one of course

My guide list for appends is simple:
Servants I use for solo a lot go with extra attack first.
The rest go with mana loading first -with few exceptions here and there.-
30% to 50% extra attack effectiveness.
Buster brave chains now hurts a lot more
I'm gonna unlock the Bunnytoria starting np and leave it at 10%, since her skill is 40%, she can turn 1 NP with just 50% starting np CEs. Its basically free.

one of the more niche benefits for the append skill 3 are for class benefits in common farming nodes. Like Murasaki has anti lancer, for the ember farming assassins, lancers, and berserkers are all together. So bringing Murasaki would give her an edge on every enemy there.

10 Mana tuning charge. Her charge plus double castoria np gain charge equals 100. Without Mana tuning you need 10 charge from a mystic code so it cuts down on flexible but with the Mana tuning now you can use a double damage mystic code for extra damage while the leftover 60 charge can give you the second and third turn np
Look, all I know is once the coin issue is cleared and we get the amount we're supposed to get I'm heavily considering going balls to the wall on my Mephistopholes. Hate to say this, but since 3* and lower don't get coins from summoning, the number of Mephy coins you have is correct ... unless it's bugged as well and you get lower amount than what he supposed to get through his bond levels.
Thanks for that explanation for how Extra Attack Boost works. I maxed out this skill for Kiyohime and it does *WONDERS* for Kiyohime's already great NP Gain. Didn't know it also increases NP & Star Generation. I KNOW I gotta give Osakabehime her Extra Attack boost cause her star gain is top notch!
As for the Anti-Class Skills they do have their uses. Siegfried has Anti-Saber, and quite a few Saber servants have the Dragon trait on them (And if they don't, there's Siegfried's best friend, Saint Georgios to fix that little problem). Also on the topic of Anti-Class Skills, am I the only one who thinks some of these choices for Servants getting certain classes to do more damage on have lore significance? For example, Boudica gets Anti-Saber for herself. Remember the nickname Nero Claudius has for Extra? Another example is Asterios. The Bull-Man has Anti-Saber crit chance resistance, and with the release of Theseus in JP he's a Saber. And on the topic of Theseus, his Anti-Class? *Berserkers.*
Yeah the Anti-Class ones are always assigned from Lore and or Servant interactions so that's why they vary a lot in usability.
On the new GudaGuda event this year for instance, Takeda had Anti-Ruler which basically gave us a teaser that Ruler Kagetora would be released later in the event and she was.

What is your opinion about this guys: Vlad Lancer has Avenger Affinity Append Skill. His NP desls bonus damage to evil. Most Avengers are evil. Potential nishe? Or are the others append better? iMO none of them are great.
3rd append is 95% of the time quite useless, but yeah i believe only ranmaru and maou nobu aren't evil aligned from the released avenger servants at least.
Also as a side note what's pretty funny is that stheno got the best 3rd append, as she does extra damage to riders as assassin with it xd

Also love the lb 5.5 and 6 mats can be given in events as the biggest mess in lb 6 was just how long it took to actually allow farming but this will give every player a chance to save mats for day 1 Morgan max skills

Day1 Maxed my boy Fergus 2nd append skill. 20% NP Gauge start is very useful on him.
The reason why I'm hoping for both appends because they're easier and have more utility then extra harsh lvl ups, also it's worth to note that for SSRs:
-if you only have np1, you can still unlock 2 of the append skills with bond lvl14
-but you still need Np2 and bond lvl15 to get to lvl120
So it's way cheaper and more utile
This is why even as much as I love my servents, as a f2p, I can only look at the append skills, with considering the 2nd one a priority
Kiara probably has the best append 3 because combined with her passive she almost has full class advantage against ruler's, as if her kit wasn't busted enough.
Another great example for Append Skill 3 is Barghest with the Anti-Alter Ego damage passive. Coupled with how her class resist the damage from Alter Egos, she can also deal more damage to them and may be a good selection for tank solo play against them
I used Barghest to solo Douman in HRM easily as long as I avoid his Instant Death gimmick

I would shout out both enikdu and Musashi for both having anti berserker while not having defensive advantage they have the strongest nps in the game and will out dps forgeiners even , also Musashis fifth force and buster deck gives her crazy extra attacks with the append skill.
Arash is proudly my first servant to get append skills used on. He deserved it

After castoria :
Normally, i use bonus ce (like tea time, lunch time, etc) for s.ishtar.
Without 2nd append the calculation at 1st turn is
50% np charge from s ishtar skill + 40% from castoria(s) skill = 90% np gauge and for 10% i use any mystic code that provides np charge or plugsuit
But with append skill, just at level 1 it's enough to cover the 10% and can use any mystic code.
I'm planning to open all her append ( i know it isn't worth so much) but for love and simp reason, i'll do that lmao even though i have to find 2 more her copies.
Dedication for a servant is more than enough reason one needs to open all appends to them, even if not all of them are the greatest options.

izumo-no-okuni is the only servant with an anti-pretender passive, definetly an interesting passive the one time you fight hephaestion or oberon
But Foreigner just hard counters Pretender. 2.0x advantage both ways. I def wouldn't use Izumo w/ that append over a Foreigner.

The good news it is a problem on the developers end. The subreddit was flooded with people saying they got less coins then they were supposed to. The devs have addressed this and are working on a fix (and there are rumors we might get quartz as an apology).

For me I’m gonna use append 3 on some farming units, just so they have another class they are good against, kinda like a mini class advantage, though thats after i finish append 2 which is way better.
So its good to max 2 append for servants with 30%battery bc with that and 50%gauge CE you can use np without support right? 1 append is good for solo monsters like Orion? But i dont know about 3 append. When i look at it its almost always disappointingly ussless(except rare cases ofc like Stheno).
3rd append more often than not tends to not be worth your time unless you are a completionist for a given servant.

I think the only other append skil good in paper is Mashu, her third append skill make her extra damage versus all extra class including some Beasts.

I personally would like to max all append skill and lvl 120 on kiara. Since all of the appends and stats benefits her. But it's too expensive since extra np levels are needed. I hope lasagne will make a system to work around that eventually..

Just got random Musashi, I still haven't received the coins for her yet. So it doesn't seem like what's broken is just the past coin record, new servant ain't getting them coins as well.
Should I still prioritize the np gauge append over the extra attack damage append for a unit like QSH? Or would the extra be more beneficial if he is soloing a lot?
The extra attack for solos is definetly better, especially for characters like qin and heracles who will stay on the field a lot of turns

Tbh in her case I might just go with the Zerker damage. It's even better in her case because it's considered %attack increase and she doesn't have that in her kit, meaning it will multiple with her Arts buff.

Don't know if you were looking for suggestions, but i'd pick first and second + 120, as a st without a battery this might help you a lot in raids to use multiple nps, while the bonus damage on zerkers is just kinda there? They already take a lot of damage and she's a buster servant so she doesn't care much for overkill. The level 120 is very good on her though, She pretty much force her way through bosses already and her kit is very silple, she can definetly make use of those 2k extra atk
still confused on should I level my Okita to 120 or unlock mana loading. I only have NP 2 bond 12 so 280 coins in total right?
Mana loading will likely be useful in a lot more situations (especially if you don't have a Superscope), plus leveling up isn't an all-or-nothing proposition. Once you hit Bond 13 you can get to 120 but will need NP3+Bond 15 to unlock even one append skill. On the other hand, you could get Mana Loading and level 110 (114 at Bond 15). Each level past 100 takes about as much XP as getting a character from 1 to 100 too.
Here's the rule of thumb I use for deciding whether to 120 someone: if you have to ask, don't. It's a huge amount of resources and if you aren't so dedicated to the character that you're willing to do it no questions asked, it's better to just hold on to the resources. You can spend saved resources later. You can't unspend spent resources.

I'm gonna try and work on maxing enkidu in both grails to 120 and append, except for the third append, and I can live without the second but I definitely want the others, as of now I'm at bond 11 and only 1 copy, next ssr ticket I'm gonna spend on them that leaves 1 more copy for grails, if I can raise bond more, and if I can get to 15 I will need 1 more copy, so that's 4 if I did my math right, might go for 1 more for np 5 but I don't think I'd have the coins to get loading, I'd need to make sure I did the math right, one way or another I need 2 more copies of enkidu, and I'm a ftp so this will be fun

I unlocked 2 append skills for a servant but they're still grayed out and not working (its easy to tell because I leveled the starting NP once and I am still starting with 0%). A I missing a final step or do they only start working when they're all unlocked?

Being single-target makes little difference between being more or less useful with extra attack boost. It may be more advantageous compared to AOE since you may clear the entire wave before pulling off a brave an extra attack. Even so, a support NP would be even more advantageous than a single-target since the NP could kill the last enemy before an extra attack can be used.
What's more influential is the amount of NP gained from the extra attack and the hit count. Fortunately, Jalter happens to be among the best in that regard, as in top 10, so she performs exceedingly well with extra attack finesse over mana loading and even grailing beyond 100.

If it makes you feel any better, she has one of the highest extra attack performance in the game. So even if you might not grail to 120, that append is still going to be really damn powerful.
To put it in perspective, Jalter with the Extra Attack Append is like giving Jack the Ripper a perpetual +50% quick buff.

But the other two skills Only if you do a lot of solos is extra attack the most important on clean up units. For most units the class damage skill is quite good especially berseker damage up as that basically makes the unit have another class advantage for mixed waves in story or farming where you do nuetral but it turns to better damage or just inch out a win.
Except the zerks. The crit down Should be ignored as it sucks.

If an account is on the newer side of things, or if you're talking about servants used more for farming, then it probably is.
However, for more developed accounts, the battery can end up being the worst of the three append skills to get, simply because it doesn't change anything. Due to developed accounts usually having a few solid supports of their own, battery CE's, and being of high enough master level where fielding powerful teams isn't an issue (especially if the fight lets you take a friend support unit, which costs 0), you can already reach the 100% charge threshold off the start of the fight without the passive. Because excess charge doesn't carry over, unless unlocking the battery append skill provides new thresholds through either different CE's that you already don't normally use but want to, or new team compositions you actually want to run, it's actually a waste of resources to invest in.
It can also lose value as newer accounts become developed, and they can access to more support servants, better CE's, and higher team cost limit, whereas the other append skills, while not always active/relevant, never lose value over time simply because an account gets stronger.

Mana tuning is great for everyone. 10 to 20 charge can give you a lot of Investment especially in farming events and make a kscope mlb kscope on base giving you first turn np then you can start charging up and so on and for new players Arash with a 50 charge ce you can get from fp rolls Max appends is a solo wave clear so I'm not sure what you are talking about
Honestly you are contriditory saying new players can't use it then veterans don't need it. Getting better ce means you don't it when many units have 30 charge and most ce are 50 so adding 20 from Mana tuning equals 100. Extra attack won't come up as much and class damage is niche where you rather bring up the class advantage servant Instead.
It's the overall best choice. Every unit even Hyde getting a charge can make your options better overall.
And if you want spam numbers. Arts units have charge. Give Mana tuning to the ones who can use black grail and you give yourself more charge overall. It's never the worst option I suggest to research that like OP who doesn't

@@ivanbluecool The issue with how you're talking about the battery append skill, though, is that you're talking about it as if that servant with it is in a vacuum (or in isolation). Your example with Arash does accurately point out that, with the battery append skill maxed out, he can instantly fire off his NP on his own (with a CE granting him a minimum of 50% starting charge). What it doesn't take into account is who the other servants in that team are, and what they can do. If you run Arash with a Merlin, for example, then you don't need Arash to have the battery append skill at all, as Merlin can provide the 20% battery with his first skill instead, rendering the append skill redundant. Same case for turning a K-scope into a MLB K-scope; look at the team as a whole, and in a lot of cases it isn't necessary to have the battery append skill at all.
Of course, Merlin isn't the only one who can give battery, and giving battery isn't even limited to 5* support-type servants, or even 4*+ support type servants. Asclepius, for example, can give 20% battery. If you want to discount story-locked servants, even if they're 3*s, that's fine too, because Shakespeare can give 20% battery. Mash, who doesn't even add to total team cost, can give 20% battery when in her form from 1.0. There are mystic codes which give battery as well.
So yes, it is true that most 5* CEs being used are 50% starting battery CEs, but there are many ways to build teams for every type of content FGO has ever released, and depending on how you like to play (and what your account has access to), the battery append skill doesn't do anything you can't already do to get you to 100% charge, but rather takes you over that point to 120%+ charge, at which point it's useless.
Also, I never say that new players can't use it. In fact, I say that for newer accounts, the battery append skill IS likely to be the best choice. I also never say veterans don't need it: I simply point out that, for veteran players, if unlocking the battery append skill doesn't unlock for you any new ways to play with or use your servants, then it's effectively useless, as it's highly like that veteran players already have methods for even 3-turn farming without the battery append skill existing.
Now, if you want to use CEs like Black Grail, that is an example where the battery append skill can be useful, as there are far more ways to get 80% charge than 100% charge. But as I said before, as an account develops and gains access to more higher rarity (and meta) support servants, better CEs and even extra things like new mystic codes, even going from 0% to 100% charge stops being an issue. If you wouldn't change how you build your team with the battery append skill now released (from said point where going from 0 to 100 is possible for you), then the battery append skill is useless for you, on that specific servant.

Yes but in her case it's bad because Lancers are not good against Rulers. Kiara has a unique passive that gives her a pseudo class advantage against Rulers which makes her append good.

I would love to level my Kagetora to level 120 but I can only level her up to lvl 108 since I have 4x grails or lvl 110 If this event have a grail at the end 😢
You can't level her up past Lv. 110 or so even with sufficient grails anyways since you need more coins and welfares don't get coins from "obtaining" them. That is not a bug.

@@ihvdrm 108 - 110 something is *with* the bond levels. Beyond that is impossible for welfares until there's an event that has their coins.

is the waver 2nd append worth it? the starting 10% np?
This is just my opinion but NO. Waver is used as a buffer/ NP charger and after that you'll usually plug suit him out or Chen Gong him out to change to another charger/buffer.
Unless you plan to use his NP on turn 1-3 while only having sakurascope, it's not worth it. And if you put a proper support CE on him and don't switch him by any means, building his NP takes time and the charge append doesn't really contribute much in that department, especially if you leave it at 10%.

How many copies of a 5 star would I need to at bond 15 grail to 120 AND unlock all appends
You need NP6, which is quite a tall order in my opinion. 300 for level 120 and 360 for appends. Bond 15 gives you 180. NP5 would give you 450, so you are still 30 coins short.

@@bananyawn Level 120 alone needs NP2 and bond 12. Its not possible at NP1 with any bond level. One append skill on top and you need at least NP3 and at least bond 14.

Yeah a minimum of NP6 for an SSR for all appends and level 120
doesn't jean alter have anti avenger making her an anti avenger would also be considered good.
It's fine if you wanna fight neutral but personally I would just bring a Moon Cancer full class advantage. Unless you don't have any I either I suppose.
