Appreciate the videos as well. Have a 2017 Platinum Reserve XD Just a tip - you can’t just look at a sensor and determine whether it’s any good. That’s a complete waste of time. That leaves 2 options. Either throw new parts until problems are resolved which is costly. Or get a scan tool that has diagnostics and actually look and see what the sensors are doing. Sensors feed information to the computer typically voltage and a scanner will let you see if the sensors are in range and working properly. This would have been way to diagnose your current problem
The hard shifting. Even with tunes is going to be well… hard at least until the trans temp gets to operating temperature mine usually smooths out after that.
I been eye balling the titan xd for a while now since I begin to tow more often but the more I search the less I want to buy one, but also the silverados n gmc also dnt seems to be that great I guess the tacoma will have to stay doing 5gpm for a while lol

This would have been way to diagnose your current problem
If the speed sensor fails you will get a code and the truck will drive normal off of pre programmed memory. You have to look at the turbo actuator

These titans have issues w the turbo actuator aka the turbon swing valve pretty much its like a cutout but for the turbo have you looked into that ?

So starting last night have had the same issue happen while towing. Shut down for 15min restarted and it went away. Let me know what you find
