Hell yeah brother! Disco Volante, their second album took a bit for me to absorb but that one as well is one of the greatest pieces of music in existence too. I’ll have to check out Oingo Boingo, always heard the name but never took the time to check em out. I shall soon!
From UK here: in the UK the CD is purple and doesn't have that clown face on it. Also it has unfortunately always been "Quote Unquote", however during the early summer of 1991 a good 3-4 months before release I managed to get a copy of the album which was NOT the "rough mixes" that is avail now, nor was it the final album mix. First track was named as "Travolta", but there were little tiny differences in the mixes of certain songs, things added or taken away. Unfortunately, I taped over it when I got the album proper. Duh!
VEry impressive in depth review of an ablum that was given to me in school by some kid who wanted me to hear it.. I still have that ablum. I haven't seen, heard of nor thought about him since then.. I also have his G n' R lies lies lies ablum. is there a statute of limitations for cd's that extends 30 ish years?
Man, I’ll give Mr Bungle a full listen at least 3 times a year still! I still have a neighbor kids “Because I got high” by Afro Man from 20 years ago. I’d say after 30 years you’re good bro lol
Truly a SSS tier album
One of my favorite albums of all time!!
You should listen to some deep cuts from Oingo Boingo. I feel like they were the prototype for Mr Bungle.
Just listen to “Insects” and tell me it’s not where Mr Bungle started.

"It's not funny, my ass is on fire..."
I hate it that critics call it a funk-metal album. It is literally jazz, rock, metal, pop, country, circus music and so on
That’s why we should always ignore critics. I think they’re not even real people
