The doors were open around the venue and everyone was heading out, my kid was like ‘hang on their playing again!…’ we headed back in and saw those who stayed after the end enjoying this too, amazing. As a fan since the 90s this was an awesome night and my 9 year olds first gig outside of festivals to finally see his favourite band (he couldn’t come to download because abuse of school) it was a magical night
I started to ball my eyes out like a baby just before they came back out again. I was moved by everyone just staring at the backdrop taking it all in. This band got me into music as a little boy and It was very emotional to see them go for one last time
man i was SO tempted to shout out "SUBJECT TO CHANGE" when they asked the crowd at the show in nottingham, but thought they were just doing it for a bit and had a song lined up, cant believe they did noots live!!!
And its just epic as we thought it'd be. As hard as it must've been for them to play this song given its the first time and the song released 20 years ago (particularly Deryck, he's very obviously looking at the teleprompter to remind him of the lyrics), it still sounded pretty darn good. Odds are they likely practiced it once or twice, but I'm still impressed they opted to play it to begin with.
Great gig apart from the scumbag pick-pockets that were rife at the front. My son had his phone ripped out of his pocket and when we went to the bar to notify security there were several others that were doing the same. There were lots of young guys at the front who just looked like they didn’t belong there at a punk gig - spoiled a great night. 😡😡😡🤟
