I experimented with Ollie as my first FSE theme a while back and really liked it - going to try using it with Core Framework. I do think these advanced features should be in a plugin though.
No, it’s more about bringing that onboarding experience (and the code) into a theme. Generally reserved for plugins for many years, so this presents a bit of a decision to make.
I think a great decision was made. Theme should not be combined with plugin functions. which doesn't change the fact that Ollie is a great theme. Plugin territory!
I really don't see a problem with this, but I can see why it breaches the repo rules. Unfortunately, a lot of people install a theme and then feel a bit dumped into a confusing mess. It's not a great experience for new users.

One step further and you have custom text using AI … the onboarding is great. So, it might end up in a plugin „Ollie Wizard“?
