This was a very interesting video. I just started building a website for a festive brassband and was using twenty twenty-four (also because you introduced me to the behaviour of the theme). Currently i'm looking into having the band's schedule and their media page(s) in a more user oriented style and maybe twenty twenty-five is the way to go. But even it isn't this video is a great introduction in the standard themes of WordPress.
For a novice newbie this theme is amazing. I see your doing your set up maybe the old way but for me I just went into dashboard, choose appearance and editor then choose templates and choose the home page template and that was it. Its easier to first choose the page and then edit on the page and if you need anything different to go into patterns on left side and add to the template. I was a fan of Eementor before but this is way easier and to keep it simple. I am not a coder and dont really understand it so this theme feels like a cross between using Canva and Elementor but keeping all in one place. The biggest thing I see in this theme is editing on the page and seeing it saved and implemented immediately without having to go all over.
The theme is great, but the mobile menu options are limited and unattractive, especially for submenus. Improving the existing theme's functionality would be more beneficial than creating a new one each year. The FSE theme has had mobile issues since the beginning. Any suggestions for workarounds? I love the flexibility of FSE, but the mobile menu limitations are disappointing.
Since, thanks to block editor, templates and patterns are super easy to build anyway and there is also a huge archive of them on the Wordpress site, I think the topic is not so relevant. Or did I Miss Something? So far the more interesting question for me is what has actually changed with the new wp-version? Is there any big news?
Thanks for your video. I was about to fomo into an upgrade from 2024 to 2025 with a site I've been working on this month but now not so sure. More at peace to leave as is.
You saved my nerves with this video. Thank you!
Glad it helped!

Great video, would you be able show us how to create and customise a navigation menu?
I’ll work on that next

Its relevant because even with a bunch of patterns available, that doesn't mean they are specifically styled to match TT5.

I certainly wouldn't upgrade. Not because there's anything specifically wrong with TT5, but technically its not an easy upgrade.
How about page speed test. Compare to generate press
I haven't tested that.
I really can't find the Photo Blog (Alternative) template.
I believe because it’s a page pattern that you can add to any page. You won’t find it in patterns in the site editor
@@WPMinute there is no pattern to show posts like that. There is only a gallery for images. I hoped it was an articles pattern.
is it better than ACF PRO?
I prefer JFT Premium better.
Oranges and Apples, not the same thing!
What Dave said
Everything you did should be the default layout.
I agree, Mark!
