That Drumeo vid was hilarious to watch. A drummer as ridiculously talented as Mike Portnoy going insane trying to follow the polyrhythmic masterwork of Danny. It wasn't fair, and I think that was the point. Just watching Mike fighting with it over and over again. The struggle was very amusing, especially when complaining to the booth "Are you sure we can't switch to Foo Fighters?" Worth watching the full vid.

He did a superb job in the time he had, but the fact a man of Portnoy's talent was still so far away from the original is testament to what an epic piece of drumming it is! Mind you, he was missing half the kit Danny had.....

There is a kid named Tyler Visser that covers this song and does it flawlessly. So it is difficult to learn but not as hard as you think. He does whole albums in one take also, search him and give him a view. Kid can play!
