Oh my gosh you guys!!! That's the coolest bathroom, I was worried that it would make it appear smaller but no! just makes it look warm and homey.😍 Hi Ally. Looks like Thanksgiving was perfect, Oh happy days. Take care, be safe.👋
Very nice. I’m surprised you didn’t get the light and mirror in a long time ago. I’m sure you know kids climb and kids grow so before long relying on them being too shot to reach will be a thing of the past. I think not doing the laundry area strikes a good balance so you don’t have too much wood. 😊
That really changed the look of the bathroom. Love it!! Shout out to your kids for the home school routine. Great Job, kiddos!!! Compliments to the Teacher.!!!!! Nick having his daughter there as a foreman made that bathroom project that much better. Great Video
The bathroom came up a treat, thank you for sharing. Next time, put a dark colour behind the timber so the light colour doesn't show through. Welcome back Allie 👋
One of the best transformation I’ve seen for years, great use of the Pallet wood. Amazing idea also with Cabinet and the new wood area goes well with the modern cabinets. Really love that bathroom xxxxxxx love to you all ❤️💙❤️❤️💙
Hey yall, I believe a medicine / first aid space can never be too big. Mine is kind of a prepper closet 4' x 4' x 8' tall. I also keep a little of all first aid supplies in a 12" basket. One thing that helps restock it is I get $1,500 per year over the counter allowance on everything possible, even if I can't use it, it is there for any guests needs example; cotton balls, I don't use but keep 1,000 just in case. I installed a kitty door from the hall closet into my master bath so my cats can come in when the bathroom door is closed, as opposed to scratching the door and carpet up.
I'm glad you let Allie have a go,.!! Another great job, but personally!! I would take off the doors to the cabinets, rub them down and use stain to colour them the same as the rest of the walls, Or put thinner pallet pieces on them. Loved seeing Charlie laying on his back dreaming of being on a sun soaked beach.🤣😁 Thanks for the sunday laughs, Cold and Wet here in the UK @ 6.20 in the evening. x x x🤓🤠
That really looks awesome! We got a bunch of free pallet material back in 1997 to use in our home build. But, it was large material used to transport oilfield parts....... covered in mud an gunk when we got it. We had to wash it, sand it and use a crowbar on almost ever piece to get it to straighten out as we installed. This feature is still one of the main things people comment on when they come to our home for the first time. :)
Hi Nick and Jen, and kids. For whaat it't worth, put light weight black roofing paper on the wall you are going to cover with pallet pieces or barn wood. Then you don't have to worry about light wall color showing through splits, knot holes etc. as it all blends right in. I like that look and it turned out great. Allie has turn into a very nice young lady who has a fun personality and likes to get involved and help out. The shelving unit addition turned out nice. All great work Nick, nice job on everything!! Larry, Central Valley, Ca.
You guys have a great channel, one of my favorites. Frankly, it is a mystery to me why you do not have more subs. Have you considered having a live "ask us anything" type show? Might generate some additional interest.
I don’t know but… maybe consider a pulley system to be able to haul stuff up the stairs without having to keep wandering up and downstairs. 😊 could also be useful for the groceries 😊
If you haven't, you should put a pipe on the water heater T&P relief valve. I saw it missing on the last video. Nice work all around! Now about the water catchment. How about, for starters, on the water tank roof and the powerhouse, nice and close and an easy tie-in. It might get some off your back. Me? I yank your chain for fun once in a while.
You 2 are amazing in the way you work together and all that you accomplish as a family. it's great to see Ali back . when she's not with you, where is she staying? I don't know if you've addressed this issue before. But I was a custodial father for my boys; just wondering..❤
You could have made your towel rack out of black pipe and then paint it either half inch or three-quarter inch. You can make matching toilet paper holder out of the same pipe.🇺🇸👊🏼👊🏼✌🏼🪚🔨
The wall really looks great. I know what you mean about the washer and dryer matching. Mine is an open laundry room and i bought a new washer and dryer that match. 1 year later the washer went out and was not repairable and they don't make the same model any more so i had to get a new washer and went with a different brand and it looks so close that it doesnt bother me any more and no one even notices they are not matching.
Haha! The wood was split in some places and warped as you could imagine. Also I used 1 1/4” nails so I wouldn’t hit the venting inside the wall. So it is just being held in with the drywall.
It looks good... but now I'm wondering if you'll urethane it to protect it from moisture. I guess if you have ventilation it should survive... but it would be rough to the touch, I'd think. Still... it looks GREAT. Thanks for sharing this project with us. (... and please... it is NOT funny when you get hurt. I mean, sure, laugh it off - have fun doing it... but these tools can do some real damage... seriously).
I have been thinking about it because of the dripping on the stairs and deck. I am worried about all the snow being too heavy and it breaking. I’ll be doing some research.
Your medications should be kept in a cool dry space. The moisture from the sink/shower/washer may compromise their efficacy. They actually were more protected in the plastic storage unit you had them in. Just and FYI.

Such a cosy rustic bathroom great idea to use the pallet wood! Love your channel and family!

Thank you! Allie and Taylor stay with their mom when not with us.
I love it
Muy bonito

Looks great. I did my bedroom wall in the bus the same way. Love the look. Monkeyvroom
Hast du sehr schön gemacht. Gruß Theo aus Deutschland
Cool
You guys seem to have fun no matter what you do.
Please take that poor flag to the VFW😢
Beautiful job, I just hope you know what was on those pallets...
Wish I would have known you were doing this. Would have bought dewalt stock, probably went up 10% with the amount of nails you used 🤣😂😂
Haha! The wood was split in some places and warped as you could imagine. Also I used 1 1/4” nails so I wouldn’t hit the venting inside the wall. So it is just being held in with the drywall.
You need to put a clear coat on the boards for moisture
Are you going to seal the wood so it doesn't get water stains?
Think it would be cool to make a ladder to the loft with metal pipe fixings going up the wall . Just a thought
That is something I’ve thought about with the piping.
Hey how you guys doing today how was your Thanksgiving hope you guys have a wonderful day God bless you guys
The wood looks good in the bathroom, makes it look cozy.
It’s a shame you are selling the property, though. 😔
R u goin to put a coat of clear to protect it from the moisture when u take a shower?
What is he stain you used on your deck? I forgot.
Please use a dust mask. ❤
Most people that you’re a pallet wall paint the wall black or dark brown so the white doesn’t show through the cracks
NIck, you are finally getting it. Measure once, cut once, then pound to make it fit.
😂
It looks good... but now I'm wondering if you'll urethane it to protect it from moisture. I guess if you have ventilation it should survive... but it would be rough to the touch, I'd think. Still... it looks GREAT. Thanks for sharing this project with us. (... and please... it is NOT funny when you get hurt. I mean, sure, laugh it off - have fun doing it... but these tools can do some real damage... seriously).
We are planning to seal it to protect it and also to make it easier to clean.
I was wondering if you plan on putting gutters on your house?
I have been thinking about it because of the dripping on the stairs and deck. I am worried about all the snow being too heavy and it breaking. I’ll be doing some research.
Your medications should be kept in a cool dry space. The moisture from the sink/shower/washer may compromise their efficacy. They actually were more protected in the plastic storage unit you had them in. Just and FYI.
The kids can't reach it until they climb up on the washer/drier ;)
Leave the head of the nail in the board.
👍👍
👍👍✌️
Looks great but in a few months your going to have mold growth behind the wood. Just like wallpaper in bathrooms.
🇳🇴👍👍🥇
Kids know how to use a ladder or chair. 😂
what is the music?
Who is Allie?
We have a blended family. Allie is Nick’s second daughter. We also have a 18 yr old daughter.
Thank you for explaining. How wonderful that she is able to spend time with you all. I love how the bathroom looks!
Don't use pallets for furniture or interior fit out. They have lots of chemicals in them. These chemicals are very harmful.
Nice job!
