I've bought a 2008 Phaeton V8 last year. Best car I've ever had. If the car is clean and if you're in touch with a very, very good and well equiped mechanic, go for it.
1:17 Ferdinand Piech was not senile. He was a very intelligent engineer who developed the Audi Quattro, Bugatti Veyron, Porsche 917, Mercedes 5-cylinder engine, etc. A bit more research on this video would've been welcome.
He was retiring, so the "senile" comment referenced the fact he was old and beginning to lose it. Piech pushed for this car despite there being no appetite for a mainstream executive car and it being almost predictable that they wouldn't hit the 20,000 sales a year. Even so he wanted to make the best car ever or whatever so they pushed on. Not his finest hour though.
Great video. I love your delivery, the level of history and detail, and your dead-pan humour. Only complaint is that the sound level is a bit inconsistent, especially when you switch positions. Just need to monitor the waveform when editing I think.
Uneven volume level inside the video is slightly annoying. Isn't there a filter in your video program to equalize the volume in the entire video? Camera angle inside the car is not optimal. Room for improvement?
I second this. Audio is the first thing that comes across as "annoying" if there are issues with it, in any video. And the tilt issue could have been fixed even by shooting wider and rotating the video in post. Review is nice overall tho. 😁
You mentioned that the Phaeton came with a V10. That is true, but why not mention the W12? As if thats not the most awesome one :D Nice video, but watch out for the sound

Thanks mate. Apologies for the dodgy audio I'll work on it

Apologies, I'll try to sort it out in future videos

I forgot about that!
Nice review mate 👌🏻 I used to never be able to pronounce the name of this car until a few years ago. Not sure why 🤣 nice car inside
Every reviewer in shorts looks like an idiot to me. So I'll collect my car information elsewhere
What will I do without you?
