    Thanks Russ! On November 1st, 1971 my wife and I had our first date a few miles east of there at Platt National Park - now a tribal recreation area.

      So glad you enjoyed the Park. BTW, it is now officially called Chickasaw National Recreation Area. Remember the National Park quarters? Platt is quarter #4!

    Hey Annie 😊🤚 A few years ago I had an event in Ardmore OK. I drove right through Turner Falls but didn’t stop. Darn! Glad you did 😂 That is a fantastic place 👍👍
    I absolutely loved Oklahoma ❤wildflowers and horses on my drive. People were always so helpful and polite. Great State!

    I enjoy your videos my wife and I fulled timed for six years and have been to most of the places you’ve shown. We traveled to all of the states including Canada. We enjoyed our 15 thousand mile drive to Alaska and back home in San Antonio, Texas. Bobby Allen

    My father was born just south of there in Sulphur, Ok. His Grandfather had one of pools back in 1920's.

    Nice you were able to spend some time with family. Neat castle. The dr had some beautiful views. He could maybe fall asleep hearing the waterfall. That was a nice find. 🙂👍

    That park belongs to the City of Davis OK. The fire marshal limits how many people can be in the park at any one time. In the summer/peak season, especially on weekends, it becomes so crowded you have to make reservations up to a year in advance.

    We'd have a family reunion at my grandparents place in Elmore City, OK. Took a trip to the falls. Thanks for that, it brought back a great memory.

    Loved the opening with Annie. Sorry to see how much that historic castle has decayed, and they really should do something about the graffiti. I was really impressed at how well preserved the historic homes and buildings were in some of the other places you traveled. Saving history can be a lot of work, but it's worth keeping so future generations appreciate see it.

    I'm so sorry about these toll roads.. Next time get a pike pass, hopefully you won't be charged three times the amount.. Love the Turner's Falls area and get a fried pie .

    My Mom and I were going to go up to Turner Falls one weekend a few years ago, but a casino got in the way. Thank you for going and showing us! Really great video!

    I say yes for stopping at Gene Autry site. Nice park with the castle and water fall. Wonder if you miss buying ice all the time. Glad you stopped and visit with family. Next time your visiting family you should find some Route 66 sites. Thank you Russ for the great road trip and looking forward to the videos this fall/winter.

    I used to live and work in Davis. Long time ago. The Arbuckle mountains are a really neat oasis in flat arse Oklahoma. I figured out I liked mountains and moved to Arkansas. Been lovin it for 40 years.

    I live in Tulsa and used to go used to go camping in Sulphur, ok. Never got to see the castle, it was away too crowded...WPA made these Parks..

    I wish I had known you were coming. I'd have treated you to some Smokin' Joe's BBQ. My husband was a devout follower and would have loved to meet you. Next time, make a stop in Sulphur to see the water falls and springs at Chickasaw National Recreation Area. It's free.

    Gene Autry was a pretty famous singer and movie star back in the 1930s & 40s and early 50s I think. He wrote and recorded one of the most famous songs of all time, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

      airtabs they reduce the drag on the back of the van. truckers have them and so do planes. they work great for high profile vehicles

    Normally it's flat? Yes, there are flat places here but Oklahoma is a melting pot of landscapes! NE and SE corners of the state are extremely beautiful!
