    I’m glad I was a blank page learning from the garage all the bad ways and bad habits of tuning that you talk about I don’t know how to tune that way so I dodged the bullet lol

    Thank you Kyle for all your helpful information. I am a little behind on the learning of the tuning of fuel injection. I can relate some old school to new school to bring it more make sense to me.

    Any dyno tuner who is just raping the maf, and not doing a complete tune, shouldn't be tuning, it's just that simple. Lots of hacks out there though who just want a quick $. Keep the good info coming. Any way to reach out directly to you? I have a topic I'd like to see you do a video on.

    Can you make a video on the details of doing a DAF tune? There is literally no youtube videos out there about the other tables and their uses as applied to adjusting the DAF tune for smooth operation. Thanks

    Thanks Kyle,
    With the changes made to my C6 Z06 in picture : Lingenfelter cold air intake + Lingenfelter MAF, FAST manifold, WCCH Cyl heads, AFR headers, long tube X pipe, low resitance Cats B&B mufflers.
    I had to change the Low and high MAF ranges. (Range table privded by Lingenfelter were lower than stock)
    The DTC P0420/0430 showed up.
    So adjusted MAF ranges.
    Fuel we have in the Netherlands is oct 98. Shell V-power.
    Now You made me clear to learn abut VE tuning.

    Glad you are on the 'gram now. 👍🏻

    Thanks for explaining! Dug into my custom $$$ tune and found a MAF only tune. VVE table looked just like a stock table. SMH

    Sounds like you definitely had a bad experience with a dyno tuner a time or 2, and yes there are alot of hacks out there, and I totally agree with going beyond the MAF only methods, you make very informative videos that will at a minimum help keep ppl from being ripped off by paying for a "tune" that took a guy 20 minutes to make

    Under the dynamic airflow tab there are a couple of parameters which i believe affect how dyanmic airflow works.
    *Dynamic airflow disable (usally 4000 RPM)
    *HI/low RPM (usally set at 2500 RPM)
    *Hi/low map (usally set at 84 kpa)
    *Map delta low
    *Tps delta low
    *Map delta hi
    *Tps delta hi
    I know dyanmic air disable is the RPM above which filtered MAF airmass is only used.
    But which do the other variables do?
    I believe it has to do with determining if the engine is in steady state or not.
    Great videos mate👍

      The deltas are for making sure that you're not jumping around on the VE map when is making predictions usually

      I would like to see more on this DAF tuning as well. My SD tune is pretty good and my MAF tune runs excellent but I want to see it how GM would've set up my car. I'm only at 600 rwhp and 0 deg LSA so the stock parameters in Dynamic Airflow may not apply to me. So far the car wont transition correctly and falls flat on its face.

    I am working on tuning two vehicles: both 2008 GM 6.2L - one is a Yukon Denali and the other is a Cadillac Escalade. My problem is, the Denali is not showing a "Dynamic" sub-tab under "Airflow". I am baffled as to why these two models are not showing the same tabs and sub-tabs in the HP Tuner VCM Editor. There are more missing tabs on the Denali, but the dynamic airflow is the first big one that is impacting me following the recommenced tuning procedure.

    I dialed in my MAF and VE tables using LTFT after I used my AFR gauge to dial in the higher rpm/map areas. It’s within -1% and +1%. When I turned everything back to normal it shows it’s adding 2-7% fuel everywhere. Did I do something wrong?

    So if I got a Dyno MAF tune and now go in and histogram my VVE table, will I need to retune my MAF?

    • @GoatRopeGarage
      @GoatRopeGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, your MAF should still be good

  • @leemer200

    Would it be an issue to up the rpm on the dynamic air flow to rev limiter?

    • @GoatRopeGarage
      @GoatRopeGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, you'd just disable dynamic airflow

    Not sure if you covered it in a stream. But have you talked about EOIT and how to figure it out. I have looked at the spread sheets on the web, just can't seem to nail it down. Thanks
