We're 23 points behind Arsenal, out of the CL and our rivals are taking the season to the last game against the team supposedly turning the competition into a 'farmers league'. Our fans are celebrating a defeat, putting on opposition shirts and gloating about another team winning the league. If West Ham do the impossible on Sunday I'll actually enjoy seeing those of our fans reactions who were grinning like mischievous kids yesterday more than I'll hate the reality of Arsenal winning the title.

Absolutely pathetic from the Spurs fans. How can you ever want your team to lose? If Arsenal win the league, it's not because of one game where Tottenham beat City, it's because for the entire season all of their results have led to that stage.
    Pathetic. Truly Spurs behaviour.

As a Arsenal fan I felt the same way with every Manchester United fan as well... They said they'd prefer us to win the league to City but they hope we can do it in other ways and United still batter Arsenal.
Spurs are just a different breed... Their loser mentality is ingrained in their entire being, from the owner to the player and fans, it's in the foundation of that toilet bowl they call a stadium. I used to hate them but now I just feel sad for them.

Liverpool fan. Spurs fans are like Everton fans. They put Liverpool failures ahead of their own successes. It's a result of years of their own failure. A mentality in-built in both sets of fans. Well done Arsenal on taking on the 115ers. Showing a winners mentality. I suspect the Spurs management have told Ange to lose. Klopp would have resigned immediately had our club asked him to do the same in his 1st year. Ange, like Klopp, wants the players, management and supporters to unite as one. The fans and owners let him down. Shame on Spurs fans. Your team should come first at ALL times no matter what consequences. This will stick with them forever. Short-termist fan base.

Nothing contradictory at all. I wouldn’t want arsenal to win a raffle let alone the league. The arsenal fans are the reason we hate them so much, the most condescending unlikable bunch ever. They want to treat spurs like they are beneath them constantly, yet they have spend a fortune and won nothing. As hilarious as it was to arsenal the we bottled the league against Leicester this is as equally hilarious to us that they have achieved nothing more than being in the title race. I don’t want Tottenham to lose football matches but on this occasion, due to the consequences of us beating city, I’m not bothered we lost, for two reasons, one, arsenal would never shut up about it and two, we dont have the squad to be in the champions league anyway. at the moment the best thing we can do is add to the squad, try for europa league success and build for the future. Do you really think Aston Villa are going to do anything in the champions league?

Maybe if spurs actually got a result against city, Arsenal fans wouldn’t consider them beneath them.

Enjoy the Europa league, and pain you bring to Ange (who actually has integrity and wants to instill a winning culture, a respectable man). I just want anyone but City to win the league because I care about the integrity of this Premier League. Why can’t London clubs unite to bring down City, instead of wishing ill on each other? Where has the north v south rivalry gone? Why is neighbourhood rivalry bigger than preventing fraudsters winning our beloved league.

"Why do you think so many home fans went to the stadium?"
Sorry but sometimes I do have to wonder how dense some of the presenters are on talksport, or why they are so out of touch with the average football fan.
The spurs fans who went to the game would have booked their tickets anything between 1-3 months before the game itself, depending on Tottenham's ticket policy. Let's just say 1 month for argument sake - that was still before they had lost 4 games in a row when they were still in the top 4 themselves.
They also had no idea that last nights month (a month ago) could have basically been a title decider between City (who they were playing) and Arsenal (who they hate).
I don't know how much the average ticket cost is for Spurs so I'll be generous and assume £60 (although I know some areas will likely be more). This is not including the high price a fan would pay for a membership in the first place which you need to have to buy a match day ticket.
Most fans do not go alone so one fan could be paying for their child/children as well or go with a friend or a parent which would already have been paid for.
Why do you think so many fans were trying to exchange tickets?
The tickets were already sold to them but the circumstances of their own league position and Arsenals made the fixture now less than appealing.
    So what do you do?
Just don't go after already paying for your ticket(s)? Most average people don't have the luxury of being able to throw a few hundred pound down the drain.
Also it was the last home game for spurs for the season, a lot of fans would want to be there JUST for that because despite spurs falling out of the top 4 it has been a successful season for them and they have a right to be there to celebrate that with their players and manager before the season ends and to look forward of what may come next season.
